Trep - those new scents sound wonderful. Pineapple Cilantro is a wee bit different than their usuals.

I will try to answer everyone who asked about what I found out at Yankee yesterday.

 

It was a regular Yankee store I was shopping at--not an outlet.

 

Boo smells like a sweeter version of Spiced Pumpkin.

 

Online so far has only had the large jars in Napa Valley and Pineapple Cilantro but our store is supposed to get the votives and tarts, etc. too tomorrow.

 

Christmas scents will be in store mid-September--samplers are arriving now.

 

Yankee outlets have another new fragrance called Applewood that is like Apples and Oak but apparently the regular stores aren't getting it. It could be one that BB&Beyond and Hallmark, etc. stores may get. I will try and find out. I love Apples and Oak.

Today I put on HL - Wisteria. strong and good. Too strong for this hotel. I've been turning the melter on and off to keep it toned down.

 

Aria, that little fall leaves emoticon is so CUTE! I can't stand it.

 

I heard from Bigred. He will be back soon. He has ordered his computer and is waiting for Fedex to deliver the goods. He said he misses us all and can't wait to get back on the board. Could be any day now.

Good Morning, --it is good to be back home. At Yankee yesterday they were just unpacking holiday votive samplers and of course I had to get one. It had North Pole (mint scent), Christmas Cupcake, Mountain Pine and Welcome Christmas (mix of berries and pine from the sniff). Then they were also unpacking Mulberry, Cinnamon Toast and Fireside for their treasures area (lge jars only). I got a Mulberry as I don't like the others, but I must say that Cinnamon Toast smelled EXACTLY like its name. Later this week they are getting in two new scents.--Pineapple Cilantro and Napa Valley Orchard so I am looking forward to those. I also got two Halloween jars--Boo and Trick or Treat and the smiling Jack 'o Lantern illuma lid so all in all I had a good time. Our store was having an employee contest and one of my favortie associates was working and I HAD to help her try to win--right? So it was fun. Have a great day everyone.

Just started the Christmas Cupcake votive I got in the Yankee holiday sampler pack. It has a hint of pine in it on cold sniff--will report once I can really smell it melted. The label is really cute--cupcakes with one cupcake made into a snowman--very nice and if they have the same label on the large jars it will be great.

That Christmas Cupcake DOES definitely have a hint of pine to it. But, you can also smell white cake or at least that is what it smells like to me. I will know more after another hour or so but this one might be a good one. We will see.

I am melting Nene's Rustic Blend and oh my, is this a strong scent! It is singeing my nosehairs! Reminds me a lot of Carol's Farmers Market scent...very, very similar.

trep, thanks for the info on Boo! It sounds like a scent I would really like. I am going to take a trip to the YC store as soon as my boys go back to school....so I can sniff in peace!!!

 

I am giggling at the MIL jokes.....my in-laws are a BLAST and we love going to visit them! May go there next week for a few days before the boys go back to school!

I will be changing my scents to BG Lemon Meringue Twang and SH Berry Lemon Bundt Cake.

 

The BG Vanilla Caramel Creme Cookie I melted earlier was very nice but not super strong IMO. When I opened the door for the mailman this morning he commented on how good my house smelled. He thought I was crazy when I said I hardly smelled anything. Sometimes I think I have candle nose because I am so used to smelling that I can barely smell the scents.

THis morning I had on Pumpkin Cheesecake from CM&M and switched to Pumpkin Patchouli from a vendor on ebay that closed up a while ago and I can't remember the name....but the tart is fab. I find the two new scents coming out (Pineapple Cilantro and Napa Valley Harvest) to be odd and random choices to come out right after the fall line. Looked them up on Ebay and they sound and look awfully summery to me. They might be great, just thought it was weird timing. Keep me posted on Applewood, though. That sounds fantastic!

Will do, Jason--I may have one of my friends who work at Yankee and who helps out at the outlet buy me an Applewood if they have any left. Also will keep an eye out to see if it shows up at any other stores. I agree the two new ones sound summery and I was surprised that the Pineapple one is bright green and the other one golden colored. Can't wait to sniff them, though, as I love pineapple. Will be getting them Friday if things go as planned and will report immediately. Nancy Oh yes, have been burning the Christmas Cupcake votive for several hours now--it is fairly light and a mix of white cake and pine. Different but not bad. Don't know if I'd want a whole lot of it or not--I'll have to think about it. I can't imagine anyone putting pine flavoring in cake so don't know what the thought at Yankee was but...
