  1. Woo-hoo, unexpected 3-day weekend! Of course I need to use my home time to do homework, buuut our lovely smellies don't get in the way of that. I'm melting YC's Snowflake Cookie and it is DELISH. Lit my Glade layer candle in Creamy Custard and Apple Cinnamon on the stovetop too, and I still can't coax a scent out of it. Ah well, the melt more than makes up for that!
  2. I got tired of my no-throwing candles so I put the melter on along with one candle on the stove for light/ambiance. YC's Strawberry Buttercreme is really good, and this is the last one I have. I hope everyone is doing well!
  3. Hello guys! Popping on until I invariably get uber busy again. The last semester seems to be the busiest with school. biolaeagles, congrats on the cute thread title, and more importantly that everything went well/is going well with your son. NMHoneyBear, I'm so glad to hear about your DH. I am sorry about Dharma, and I think y'all did the right thing to ease her suffering. It is a very hard choice. Finished off Glade Orchard Apple Cinnamon AND the last little bit of Holiday Time Winter Berries that I had been trying to avoid because it's kind of...plasticky? Right now I have a Glade 2-layer in Creamy Custard and Apple Cinnamon and BHG Frosted Sugar Plum in a lovely decorative tumbler. Neither one has any throw whatsoever.
  4. Iced Tea with Lemon sounds like it could be really interesting. I would like to see if they can avoid that lemon Pledge note, simply because even the premade tea drinks often have it! Chocolate Truffle or Raspberry Sorbet? YC
  5. Well, this is Kentucky, so the solid 4 inches with drifts of a little higher shut down schools in my county for a solid week. Our road crews/ general preparedness overall is not like up North because it's usually a big deal if we get 2 inches at a time! The whole thing amuses my BF because he's from New Hampshire so this type of weather would be nothing in a winter. I like that he knows how to drive in snow! We are definitely having those bitter cold temps. When I go to work later today it'll be 15F with a wind chill more like 1F. My Glade Fresh Berries/ Wild Berries layer is close to being gone, and is overall pretty good. Kinda light, but I think I'm used to a lot of heavy cinnamon and bakery scents. This is also one of the candles that I'm using up before it loses any more scent. Mpfand, I hope your DS is doing better! NMHoneybear, I hope those results get in like now and that they're the best news they can be. Katz, I have noticed my kitty is eating a lot more too right now! He does a lot better free feeding because if you take away the dish and put it back, or let it run out, he panics and gobbles everything you put in there in two seconds and then gets sick. So I feel like right now I'm constantly topping off the bowl. Edit: Thanks bioaleagles! When the weather gets snarly, I get busy. Such is the babysitting life.
  6. Hey guys, just popping in to say hey! The snow here has been UNREAL. Because of crazy busy work, snow inconveniences and school, I'm just now on to a new candle from the use it up stash. It's a Glade 2 in 1 layer candle in Fresh Berries and Wild Raspberry. I need a little something Springlike with the single digit temps and the snow flying around. The weather was too bad and I had too much work to catch up on to be able to go to the Yankee Spring event today, but I'll catch the next one. Did anyone make it?
  7. V- Vanilla (I'm really surprised no one has posted just plain ol' vanilla yet! This is a mini clamshell from the Dollar Tree of all places, and I picked up a few in different scents and I'll see if they are any good. Their candles are kinda terrible, so I don't hold out much hope. )
  8. Woo! A 'Q' scent that isn't Quince! R- Raspberry Sorbet
  9. Destashing continues....yet another small candle of Glade Orchard Apple Cinnamon! It's still good, though I think the next one I pull from the must-go box will be a fresher scent. I need to dream of spring, inches of snow or no!
  10. I'd go with Creamy Cinnamon Chai, but if I bought it, the tart would go into the stash for later! Too much cinnamon recently. Apple Raspberry Crumble or Strawberries and Cream Noel? FP
  11. If it helps any, somehow in my early buy-happy stages I ended up with SEVEN apple cinnamon/ some variety of apple cinnamon Glade candles. That's half my must-go stash box. I've had to alternate between apple cinnamon and others. Even still, I might be very VERY good on the scent Apple Cinnamon for a while. They don't have lids so they aren't good candidates to stash for very long. PSA: Keep track of what you buy! Get candles with lids!
