Nope, these were Candle-lite and Mainstays 3-wicks that I got on super clearance, so I'll give the rest of them a try and if they sass me, I will melt them on my combo plate and be done with it! They were around $2 each, so luckily it isn't an expensive lesson.

I have found I don't care for the 3-wick style of candles in general. But of course I figured that out after I bought 5 of them on sale and had a lot of trouble with the one. If the rest try to give me any trouble, on the jar warmer they go until I use them up...and one will have to go straight on the warmer because one of the wicks is too close to the glass for my paranoid taste. I've learned not to be in a hurry when buying wax. Edited to add: Still working on YC's Maple Walnut! It's really good, and I think they're discontinuing it.

Tree's up! Gifts arranged around it, but no ornaments yet. I had boxes of wrapped gifts sitting around so I had to do something with them! I had to toss the BHG Classic Frosted Gingerbread. Even the wax tart I poured off the candle had no scent. I gave up at that point. Edited for missing words and emoticons. :tongue:

Aww thanks guys! YC's Maple Walnut is lovely! It's a nice rich scent that isn't chasing me out of the house. I must have really gotten a dud BHG candle, since it started tunneling WITH the tinfoil on and the wick was drowning. I poured off wax and we'll see if it has any scent as a tart. Plus pouring off the wax means I can burn through this thing a little faster and get it OUT the house.

I gave up trying to get a scent out of Classic Frosted Gingerbread and I have it lit sitting on my stove to look nice for now. Now I have YC Maple Walnut going and it has a great throw, but the smell itself is not too overpowering. Maple is not a scent I want super strong, I have just learned. I also have made up my tarts spreadsheet to keep track of what I order and what would be a good reorder! I already added all the scents from my HHS order.

L- Let Freedom Ring

I keep the scratch and sniff catalogs saved up for when the kids I watch are bored, especially if we're out somewhere waiting on something. Instant occupation for at least 10 minutes smelling things! Plus it doesn't take up much space in my giant handbag of everything. It's official, this BHG Classic Frosted Gingerbread candle is a weak thrower. Sad day.

Time for holiday candles! I have Better Homes and Gardens Classic Frosted Gingerbread burning. Honestly not noticing a huge throw on this...have I been spoiled by tarts?
