  1. Lucky Shamrock sounds so fresh and nice! Juicy Peach or Sweet Strawberry? YC Returning Favorites
  2. Here's a link to where you can get them online, but I know Meijer's has them. I'm not sure if you would have a Meijer's though. They're kinda like Super Targets? https://www.candlemart.com/ They also had Apple, Grape, and one other one I forgot already. I liked the Orange and Pink Lemonade best, and lucked out that they were on sale! The Apple is a true super-green sour apple scent that was so NOT me. Grape was like grapey candy as well.
  3. Finally used up the last of the dratted lidless candles! I also went on a wax binge at Meijer. I don't know where all they are located, but if you have one, GO! I have never seen such a candle selection at a grocery store! They have WoodWick, Yankee Candle Home Classics, Hanna's Candles, Aromabeads, Tuscany Candles, RibbonWick (?) and at least 3-4 other brands. Lots of markdowns everywhere, from what I saw. I went for the wax melts myself, and they had a $1 tart and votive sale going on their Yankee items. Plus, I found clamshells in their Valentine's Day scents for $1.50 and Jolly Rancher clamshells for $1 in Pink Lemonade and also Orange. It was the best selection, hands down. Walmart was outclassed, and I usually go to the largest Walmart in Kentucky, literally. Still burning BHG Sugar Sweet Gumdrop and now a small jar of Mainstays Harvest Berries in my new-to-me Yankee brass sleeve. Is pretty. Edit: Forgot to mention, now I'm destashing all the 2012 candle purchases.
  4. I did check there right after I posted in hopes that I would find some information. Unfortunately, no dice! They aren't perfect, as whoever donated it left a tart in the melter bowl for who knows how long. That's actually how I figured out that it was a tart burner so quickly! The tart was something spicy and possibly orange? Either way, after I pried the wax out with my handy-dandy no-scratch scraper, it's kinda discolored the brass bowl. Still quite serviceable, and lets me double up on scent if I want to! (My second burn/melt spot that is safe from the cat has no nearby electric plugs.) As for the candle dish/ sleeve thing, I'm really kinda confused as to how I use it? A small jar will fit in the sleeve, but the large jar is too big for the bottom dish. Am I missing something? Used up my pulled tarts from the stash and my BHG tumbler, so now I have: BHG (large jar) Sugar Sweet Gumdrop (tangy and sweet and ) and my candle dish is in service holding a Glade 2-layer (supposedly Creamy Custard and Apple Cinnamon) that I'm trying to use up.
  5. Went to Goodwill today and found a tart melter and a candle sleeve/ jar plate combo from Yankee Candle in brass for $3 total! The original price stickers were still on the bottom and all together it would have been about $35 at the store. It's got a ton of cutouts in swirly patterns and is very Indian-inspired to me. The tealight warmer has a little door cutout that the light also peeks through. Does anyone remember a collection of accessories like this? I'd be really interested to see how old the set is.
  6. Melting YC's Country Kitchen Ginger Spice White Tea. Very strong and good! But it doesn't really smell like spiced tea to me....it smells like a shampoo but I can't place which one. I do like it though.
  7. I wouldn't be so miffed if I wasn't at 6 dud candles in a row! I put them on the shelf so I remember to burn them when I have a tart going + enough time for a decent wax pool. Methinks it will take me a bit to finish off those. In my defense, I bought most of those before I joined here and learned not to be taken in by low prices...as much. Good to know! I'll keep an eye out for sales and things when it is time to get more wax, whenever THAT is. I'm still destashing lidless candles and stuff from 2012 (note reply above about all the duds) in between mini-baskets of tarts. I'm confused, did you mean Nene's Kitchen Melts or Aunt Nena's? If it is about Nene's Kitchen Melts I am all ears on overall thoughts on her as well! My to-try list is super long. Biolaeagles, so glad to hear your DS is doing good! Melting YC's Jack Frost tonight. I think it's just okay. The peppermint is nice but it seems kinda weak to me? Though I don't even know if I would like a super strong peppermint? I'll probably be changing melters in the morning.
  8. How is Aunt Nena's overall? I've got them on my to-try list when I destash enough to justify wax purchases.
  9. The electricty did not entirely cooperate last night, so I tried out my Mainstays Harvest Berries. All three of them are duds! Ah well, I will burn them alongside tarts so I still have flame and scent. Now melting Simply Home Yankee Candle in Christmas Treats. Something tells me this is just a repackage of Christmas Cookie (which I haven't gotten to yet in the stash), and if so, I'm excited! Christmas Treats is GOOD.
  10. Welcome back! I've accessed Candlefind's forum on my BF's tablet before and it takes some tweaking to get it to work correctly, though he has Android, not Apple OS. I might have some tips anyway though. There is totally a BnB section to the forum! When you are looking at the forum, is it pink or blue colored?
  11. Depending on whether or not the power cooperates (already had a 5 minute blackout earlier), I'll be continuing to melt YC Country Kitchen Hot Cider, or burning Mainstays Harvest Berries.
  12. I would agree with the description of YC's Candy Corn as cozy, too. I really really enjoyed the scent, I just needed MORE. My living room shares an open floor plan with the dining room and kitchen so light scents don't do well in here. I'm giving my sister the other Candy Corn I have since her melter is in her bedroom and it might work for her there.
  13. Candlelove, I love YC's Maple Walnut too! I finally used up my scentless Glade candle, so I'm burning my dud BHG tumbler now. At least it's pretty! I tried melting YC Candy Corn, and it was kind of a dud. It smelled nice, like honey, but I had to practically stick my head in the melter to smell it! Now I'm melting YC Country Kitchen Hot Cider and it's nice! More spice than apple, but I am a fan.
