Front Porch - Lemonberry Crumble

 

It is a nice, strong scent, but I wish she had chosen any other berry than blue. I am not that fond of the blueberry scent, just my own personal preference.

 

I wonder if it is like the scent blueberry lemon verbena? I love that one.

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mommies and Grandmommies here!!!

 

I have been burning tarts for most of the day but cannot remember the vendors. lol I can pick out the scents.

 

Let's see, Iced Green Tea, Red Velvet Cake, Strawberry Shortcake and Fresh Lemon.

I have Cherry Vanilla from TS in the kitchen. Nice and strong - I love it!

 

The dining room has sugar cookie from Can-Do. Nice scent but not a lot of throw.

 

The living room has Seagrass from Colonial. This is a light but refreshing scent. I really like it and it's a new one for me.

 

The bathroom has YC Beach Towel (Kohl's YC version). It's ok. I'm using a candle and the scent is fair, but it's tunneliing like crazy. It's a new candle just started around noon and its been going all day with the very brief exceptions to trim the wick. I haven't had a tunneling problem with regular YC jars as long as I use a topper. I have a topper on this one but it's not making a difference.

 

I've had a couple of scents going in the bedroom today. First I had Fresh Linen by PI. Nice scent but got tired of it. Now I have on Texas Tumbleweed by TS. This is different and I like it. I would never have ordered it, but it's one I would order now. It has a touch of "manliness" to it, but not overwhelming. It's something that most men would like, however, while still being a soft and lightly feminine scent.

Tuscadero's Bobbie Brown Beach. Not very strong, had to move it to the powder for results. YC Ocean Water still perkin along downstairs.

For the overnight burn I have CYS Mango Marshmallow Creme in the living room and in the comp room it is Toasted Hazelnut from Contemporary Candles. :cry:

Tonight I am trying a retired YC scent I lucked out and found at Hallmark today: Tea & Honey. This one has a great throw and smells exactly like hot tea, heavy on the honey only three times stronger. I should have gotten more of these! Also, YC Berry Jam is in the BR and my Vanilla Cupcake candle in the kitchen.

I went to casino yesterday night and guess what???????????

 

There is a huge Yankee Candle store in the casino to spend your winnings.

 

So as I was playing I was already counting my winnings in large Yankee jars. My fiance said I am totally crazy. I did not bring any $$ I only played whatever he gave me and since I won I returned him everything he gave me except the $$ I used at Yankee.

 

OMG it is so great, you can play all night and then go spend it to Yankee, you can shop at Yankee with a big glass of Margarita, whats is better that that????????????

 

I only got one candle in Mango Peach Salsa.

 

I came with no $$ and walked out with a Yankee Jar, Yay

 

For today I am burning Ginger Lime from TS and Berry Jam from YC.

 

Can't wait to get back from the gym and start the Mango Peach salsa. I want to give it at least 4 hours burn so I have to wait until I am back from Yoga.

 

DesertRose, this sounds like a dangerous combination! I'm glad there is not this type of casino near me! Gambling, margaritas, Yankee Candles? I'd be in heaven!

Good morning all! McCarleys Birthday Cake going in my office this morning. I can't go wrong with this scent. Not impressed with this vendor's scents, throw or longevity, but at least Birthday cake is one that I can smell!

This morning it is Painted Lady from Cheryl's. This was from a Candlefind friend so I'm not sure what it's supposed to smell like and I can't detect anything specific, but I do like it!

Good morning...happy Monday.

 

Melting Clean from Nene's today....wow! What a fresh scent....smells like a really nice bar of soap with a little fruitiness, maybe apple? I like it and boy, does it pack a punch!

 

Cookie, I have a few from McCarley's too....bakery were a little weak, but there are 3 that were super strong and quite enjoyable - stargazer lily, turquoise paradise and verbena bamboo. The wax is very soft and does not freeze well; reminds me of crisco.

I have MeMe's Country Store's orange and chili pepper going...I bought several sample "buttons" awhile back, most scents had mild throw. This one, however, is STRONG! So strong that I went to the trash to check the wrapper to be sure it was MeMe's! Nice!
