  1. Debra, thanks for the good luck wishes! I'll need 'em for sure! Trep, so glad to hear your dad's improving. Christy, Washington DC has so many things to do! Glad you two had fun! Hi Cat! I'm melting Candle Dippers too. Autumn's Bounty, which is Cinnamon, spice, vanilla, pine, and cedarwood. I've been a big fan of CD for awhile now but lately I'm loving them even more. Autumn's Bounty is wonderful and really strong! Gail
  2. Hi everybody! Last night I had a candle festival: Two Haley's flower pot votives in Cinnamon Apple Berry and Apple Cinnamon, plus WoodWicks Pumpkin Butter and Slatkin's Autumn Apple. They were all nice but the standout was Autumn Apple. The real star of the show was, and continues to be, Candle Dippers Melt-Eze in Pumpkin Apple Butter. I'd sure like to be around more, but between Christmas coming up and chairing my dog club's upcoming 20th anniversary celebration, I'm swamped. Hope you're all doing terrific! Gail
  3. Hi all! Just poppin' in to say I finished up Candle Dippers Maple & Brown Sugar. Now I'm going with Pumpkin Apple Butter from the same vendor. Gail
  4. Always so fun reading about everyone's candles and melts. I just switched to Candle Dippers Maple & Brown Sugar. Oh Lordy, this is strong in the extreme. I thought I might get a headache but nope.I just have a problem with my mouth. Gail
  5. Thanks, Sweet - good idea about telling the DH to keep an eye out for Candleberry! He's awfully busy back there (now in North Carolina for a few days) but I'll drop that hint! :D Aria, glad the parade turned out nicely. Hope the karate test does too! Michele, enjoy all the family festivities! I'm melting Candle Dippers Autumn Wreath. It's 24 degrees here. Gail
  6. Hello Bella, and a big to you! Gail
  7. Hi friends! FWIW, I usually have to hit "Refresh" before I can see my new avatar. I don't know much about such things though, so you might just wanna ignore that. Sweet, Frosted Apples sounds divine! It makes me think of my DH, who's all the way across the country enjoying some time in Kentucky right now. I'm melting LSC Baked Apples. So authentic and good. Have a really nice Saturday, buddies. Gail
  8. Hello and Blueroo! That's a lovely intro, very nice to read about you! Gail
  9. Sweet, Let me think about it... Okay, I thought. Um, no. Just NO, crazy girl! Lookin' good and tastin' good just ain't the same thang! Gail
  10. I just switched to LSC White Tea & Ginger. Unlike the previous Chai, I wouldn't want to drink this one as there's just a hint of floral. Very nice scent though. Gail
  11. Stella, I'm glad you're starting to smell your waxies again! Debra, feel better soon, friend. Boogie, Our winds have died down and the sky is bright blue. It's chilly this morning though. I'm still melting LSC Creamy Cinnamon Chai Latte. So perfect! Gail
  12. Terrific thread title, Boogie! Boogie and Aria, you girls are so funny! But trust me, you don't want to hear me sing! I'm melting LSC Creamy Cinnamon Chai Latte. It's warm and wonderful, perfect for this cold, windy day. Gail
  13. Laurie, glad you're on the mend! I'm melting a freebie from LSC, Fried Apples French Toast. I didn't think I'd like it because, well, "toast" was once baked in the oven, right? I don't love it but I like it. (That sentence reminds me of Big Red, who used to say that a lot. Hope he's doing well.) Have a good day, everyone. Those who are under the weather, feel better soon! Gail
  14. Hello Margo! to our fun forum! Gail
  15. This afternoon it's Haley's Vanilla Spectacular. This one is perfectly name, yes it is! Gail
  16. You're welcome, Boogie. I was wondering about it too, but in the heat of Black Friday I never had a chance to check it out. I just found this 40 second video. Now it makes sense. Faucet Soap Gail
  17. Maggie, thanks re my avatar. Aria, glad you're feeling better now! too. I'm melting Haley's Frosted Pumpkin on this cool, cloudy day. Gail
  18. I decided to try SV Soaps, since they look so beautiful and have good reviews. I discover on her blog that her products are also now sold by Soaps by Nature, a company that sells many artisans' creations. (Not just soap, by the way, but all kinds of B&B.) I signed up for their newsletter and got a $5 coupon. Get this - I ordered Friday at noon and my package arrived today, Monday. From Wisconsin to California in that short of time. Wow, now that was impressive! Also, I received three - THREE - emails while I was waiting. One was a receipt, one was an order follow-up to make sure I don't have any questions or needs (holy cow, really?), and the last one was a shipping notice. Everything arrived in perfect "gift presentation" condition. To add frosting on the cake, the soaps all smell heavenly and actually look like frosting on a cake! And I got two free samples too. Gail, who thought this was too good of an experience not to share with others
  19. Oh Stella! Poor you! Get well soon! I'm melting Haley's Caramel Vanilla. So GOOD! Gail
  20. Oh Stella, that's such a bummer! :o Take care of yourself. Fingers crossed that you can get into the doc today. I'm melting Candle Dippers Hansel & Gretel. Gail
  21. Debra, thank you! :) Yes, I did take the photo. Mpfand, sounds like things are progressing nicely! Laurie, good luck tomorrow! Candle Dippers' Country Cabin is finished so now I'm burning WoodWicks' Pumpkin Butter. I'll be up for a couple more hours but to those of you hitting the sack, g'night all! Gail
  22. Did you join in? Did you get any goodies, Jules? Anybody? I was able to snag 3 of the Savor Savers. And, um, then went back in and got lotsa other goodies, some for gifts, some for me. Gail
  23. Sweet and Michele! I switched to Candle Dippers' Country Cabin. It's on day two and still plenty strong and yummy! Gail
  24. G'mornin' all, Thanks for the get well wishes, Maggie and Christy. And Trep, thanks re my avatar. Those are Haley's candles. :) For a change, I'm starting out the morning with a candle instead of a melt. Slatkin's Autumn Apple. It's burning perfectly, throwing like mad, and smells like heaven. Life is good. Hope all of yours are too! Gail
  25. everybody, I'm glad to back from the land of the lost! Stella, I apologize for being so late, but want to offer my heartfelt sympathies regarding the loss of your sister. I am so sorry. I check the Current Specials on Beth's homepage. Sometimes they're really good! Candle Dippers Stella and Aria, feel better you two, and really quickly! Thank you all sincerely for your get well wishes. My illness got a bit ugly, turned into bacterial bronchitis. One of the myriad things I am thankful for is the blessing of having a great doctor. I won't say I'm totally better yet, but I'm getting there and most importantly, I can smell! I do have my priorities straight, don't ya think? I started the morning with LSC's Autumn Spice Bread. It was one of Pam's generous freebies and is okay for a bakery. I actually had it going for a few hours, which is pretty darned long for a bakery scent (Spiced Pears and Zucchini Bread.) Now I'm going with Candle Dippers Country Cabin (bayberries, cranberries, cinnamon, orange.) Gail
