It's been a happy stay-at-home day full of yummy wax! This evening I'm burning a votive candle in Christmas Day by HOS, a gift from a generous friend. I love it!!! This is my first HOS product and I'm mighty impressed. It's throwing great despite being just a l'il votive, and it's burning perfectly too! Gail

I'm going to luxuriate in MCS's Fresh Lemonade again today. It's divine! But all I got was a small sample and today will be the last of it. :( Worse yet, it's not on her scent list. Fingers crossed that it'll be back for summer. I find myself opening the container and sniffing every time I walk by it. Wow, I never do that. Gail

Boogie, Cotton Candy Twist is sooo yummy! Yesterday I tried the Fresh Lemonade sample and got a bunch of compliments. Cool! The double butter is wonderfully moisturizing. Man oh man, you make me want to try the Hazelnut Marshmallow/Pizzelle. Sounds divine! I can't wait to try more MCS goodies. I'm, well, ah, kinda hooked. Gail

Today I received my first order from Mad City Sue on Etsy. I took advantage of her one day $5 sale on double butters and got Cotton Candy Twist and Candy Fluff. She sent me a little sample in Fresh Lemonade. Boy, these all smell and look wonderful! Can't wait to give 'em a try! Gail

I'm melting Haley's Frosted Pumpkin before heading out this morning. Wowzers, it's strong and good! It's a busy weekend ahead. Today is a planning committee meeting for my dog club's 20th anniversary, then a baby shower. Tomorrow is dog training class and then a Mardi Gras party. And here I sit trying to figure out when I'll have time to scrub the floor. Just how all these commitments came to be is beyond me! Have a spectacularly satisfying weekend, everybody! Hi everyone, I'm burning WoodWick's Pumpkin Butter this evening. I want to give you all a big hug and say "arrivederci" - until we meet again. I hope to check in every now and again (you better believe it!) but the chairing of my dog club's 20th anniversary next summer and some other minor projects are sucking up my time like a Dyson on dirt. I'm having fun but I'm not having a minute to spare. It's kind of like planning a gigantic wedding, not that I've ever done that. I'm excited about doing a great job on the anniversary, so I've got to cut back in other areas for the time being. I didn't want to just disappear on my beloved Candlefind forum friends, so I thought I'd mention what's up in my neck of the woods. Hopefully I'll be able to pop in from time to time and catch up with everyone. My time here has been a complete joy and a terrific wax education! Hope to "see" you all soon! Gail

Christy, thank you re my morning with friends. I don't know what I did to deserve the many wonderful friends in my life, but I sure am blessed. And we had an exceptionally good time today. Maggie, aww, that's a shame your Sweet Holiday Blend never arrived, because it smells so good. :( I went searching for the scent description. It's not WAHM's, but a fragrance oil supplier says it's a coffee scent with "...cinnamon, clove, nutmeg and ginger wrapped around a buttery almond accord with a sweet vanilla and maple dry down." I don't get the coffee at all, and it's light on the spices. To my nose it's mostly a sweet vanilla almond confection. Not a bakery, but a candy type scent. Does that help? Michele, have a Christmas party tomorrow! I'm exhausted, the dog's exhausted. We're relaxing now and I'm enjoying that Sweet Holiday Blend. Enjoy you evening, everyone. Gail

Settling in for the evening with Haley's Caramel Vanilla. It's the perfect combo of these two scents. No caramel overpowering poor l'il vanilla here. Also burning a couple of her flower pot votives in Apple Cinnamon and Cinnamon Apple Berry. Gonna settle in for the evening and watch "The Help." If it's half as good as the book, it'll be terrific!
