  1. Maggie, I hope your headache goes away. Are you drinking? I ask in my most "G" rated voice! I'm melting Haley's Vanilla Spectacular while enjoying some rare free time. Gail
  2. I'm really enjoying this discussion. Thank you ladies. Here's my little contribution to it. I've only tried WI's soaps but I'm a huge fan! My favorite is Nectar Spa soap. The scent is heavenly and the soap itself is wonderful! It doesn't produce bunches of bubbly lather, but is creamy smooth. I'm not seeing it on the website now. It's often sold out, the only downside, IMO. Gail
  3. Good morning! :) Stella, best of luck with your procedure today. I hope it's easy peasy and very effective! I'm melting Can-Do's Apple Mango Tango. We're in the high 80's, low 90's here but as they say, it's a dry heat. My kind of weather! Gail
  4. Big congrats to your daughter, Laurie! That's quite an accomplishment! I'm melting Can-Do's Pomegranate. Boy, I love this one! Gail
  5. I'm melting Haley's Vanilla Spectacular today. It goes perfectly with our spectacular weather, which will probably be short lived. And keeping with my theme, I hope May is a spectacular month for all of you! Gail
  6. Howdy everybody! :D I've been melting LSC Fall Harvest for two days. Deeeeelish! Gail
  7. I'm remelting LSC Caramello on this horridly windy day. Michele, I'm terribly sorry to hear you've had another family member pass away. How heartbreaking for all of you. Prayers for peace to your family... Gail
  8. Good day, wax peeps! Last night I burned my first Tyler candles, two votives in Family Tradition. I didn't like the cold sniff at all on these. Kinda perfumey. But upon burning it's not at all perfumey and the scent is terrific and very unique! (Cinnamon, Clove, Brown Sugar, Raisins, Rum Vanilla & Tonka beans - YUM!) These little guys burned perfectly and are the strongest thrower of any votive I've tried. I was thinking I didn't want anymore Tyler products if they were going to smell like perfume. that attitude is so wrong. Today it's LSC Caramello, a blend of caramel and marshmallow. Perfection in wax and a new fave! Gail
  9. Melting Can-Do's Thin Mints this morning. Today is a huge community-wide garage sale. My DH is in his element. Me, I'll stay here enjoyin' waxies. Gail
  10. Hi friends! I'm melting LSC Cranberry Marmalade today. Yummy, fruity goodness! Gail
  11. Cbgirl, I'm glad to hear you're on the mend! Trep, aww, your poor dad. I hope his recovery is speedy. He must be quite the trooper! Laurie, how sad. That cold front from days ago is long gone and we're at 90 degrees. My kind of weather, so I'm a happy gal. Melting Haley's Spectacular Vanilla today. Gail
  12. I'm melting LSC Moon Spice, one of my faves. It may be mid-April, but we''ve got a high of only 45 so I'm not in the mood for scents like Cucumber Melon or Bahama Mama. That'll be later this week when we hit 80 degrees. Those of you in the path of storms, stay snuggy and safe! Gail
  13. What a fun question, rose. Rich Vanilla Champagne sounds wonderful! I was surprised that I'm so crazy about Haley's Coconut Hibiscus, since I don't like floral scents in wax. Ditto for Haley's Hawaiian Breeze, another fruit floral mix. I can't get enough of it! Gail
  14. Our lovely weather has packed it bags and headed to parts unknown. Old Man Winter's back for awhile with highs in the 50's, lows in the 30's, loads of wind, and snow in the local mountains. I'm melting LSC Cherry Cider. It's delish! Gail
  15. Hi everyone, I've been enjoying Cinnamon scented votives from Colonial Candle the last couple days. They've been good little candles, burning beautifully with sturdy wicks. Don't know why, but lately I've been smitten with votives and tealights more than tarts. Gail
  16. Christy, those holders are tooooo cute! Shortygal, how great your little guy is on the mend, but oh no, I hope you don't come down with the bug! NMhoneybear, I don't know what kapusta is, but I don't think we had any. I'm a long time vegetarian, a sprouts, salad, basil kinda gal, so you can have my share of Polish sausage for as long as we both shall live! I've been so curious about your meditation room. It must be wonderful. Ahhhhh! Sweet, my daughter's been up in northern California, which is a nine hour drive. Santa Barbara is only three hours, so . She's happy too because it's #1 on her list of favorite of places to live. It's a dream come true for her, lucky girl. I'm melting LSC Cinnamon Vanilla, a big fave of mine, although it's not as strong as I remember last fall. Gail
  17. TJ'S Mom, I hope your day improved a ton! Katz, yes, it's the sister who lives across the street. We're very close, in more ways than one. :D Enjoy tonight's game! Aria, here's wishing your DH a speedy recovery! Shortygal, I sure hope you dear little one feels a lot better and really quickly! I haven't been home, so nothing's smelling good around here unless you count DH's polish sausage. I'll wait until the stink of it dissipates before melting anything. Gail
  18. Aria, It's always great to be here! Today I'm enjoying LSC Autumn Morning. it's helping ease the drudgery of scrubbing baseboards. Gail
  19. Oh Sweet, your memory is amazing and your thoughtfulness unparalleled! Thanks for asking, and for just being YOU! Brucie got a clean bill of health! His eye is all better just in time for his move. He and my DD are settling down permanently in Santa Barbara. I didn't finish the last bit of LSC Moonspice today. It just keeps going and it's too good to toss. Lucky, lucky me. Gail
  20. Sweet and Maggie re my sis's wedding. I'm savoring the last bit of LSC Moonspice this morning. What's up next? but no doubt I'll figure it out shortly. Gail
  21. Hi friends, Katz, big congrats on your DSon's engagement! My DSister got married over the weekend, her first marriage. She married her college professor and they are over the moon. I'm melting LSC Moon Spice today. Gail, too darned busy these days
  22. Hi everyone, I'm enjoying Haley's Caramel Vanilla today. It's the perfect blend, not too heavy on the caramel. Have a terrific rest of the weekend! Gail
  23. Laurie, wishing you all the best with your dental troubles. I'm melting Cinnaberry from Candle Dippers. Perfect! Rain's a comin' tomorrow. I hate rain but we sure do need it, so I'll hush up. Happy weekend, friends! Gail
  24. Christy, Maggie and Sweet, for the well wishes for Brucie. So kind of you! I just got home. Our boy is all healed up from surgery but does have a minor infection in that eye. A change in antibiotics should do the trick. You guys are so funny about the bugs! I'm not a big fan of the creepy crawlies either but I'd take 'em any day over what showed up in my DD's kitchen several years ago. It was a Mojave Rattlesnake, widely regarded as one of the most (if not the most) poisonous snakes in North America. Yikes, what a day that was! DD's photo was even on the front page of the local newspaper. I'm still enjoying Can-Do's Cinnamon Spice. It's such a lovely sweet little tart, nothing too sharp or pungent, yet plenty strong. Have a delightful evening, friends! Gail
  25. Good morning! I'm enjoying Cinnamon Spice from Can-Do. Always fun to read what everybody's up to. What a bunch of busy gals! I'll be heading out in a bit to take Bruce, my DD's Bulldog, down the hill to the eye vet for a post-op check up on his eye ulcer surgery. Fingers crossed for a good report for him! Have a great day, everyone, and happy smellies! Gail
