  1. I hope they are home before you know it, Maggie! Will you be back to school by then? Honeybear - funny that you have a forgotten stash of the ones you made! After all that work! I peeked at TBG...but that was all! I have not weakened yet. I hope I can stay strong! Tonight it is a B&BW candle that I need to use up - Tiki Beach.
  2. I have not been brave enough to go look at TBG site. My weather will be cooler in a few days so there goes my willpower! ;) Maggie - what a wonderful dinner! They may have second thoughts about leaving! Tonight it is Me Time - Strawberry Pineapple Parfait.
  3. Home again! What fun it was, so nice to see people that I have not seen for years and years! It was a class reunion - unofficial, but some people were coming to town from far away so we rallied the troops! I went to my elementary school best friend's house - and she had Scentsy melting. So, you know what is next, dontcha? I was lucky to have a couple extra FP tarts in my overnight bag that I gave up for the cause! I will be sending her a goody box soon. That is a good way to reduce stock! Tonight I am trying another YC - Black Sand Beach. It is a nice scent and fairly strong!
  4. Hi candlebuddies! I am out of town at a reunion and there have been so many activities I have not been near a computer. I did, however, bring a wall plug in and some SGA Pink Serene Waters! Honeybear, glad to hear DH is healing nicely! Miss Kit finally started eating somewhat normally the day before I left. Good news as I was pretty sure the pet sitter was not going to hunt her down and hand feed her kitty treats so she had something in her tummy! Maggie - my Lilac Scentsations have been mixed. They are getting elderly and I find if I use a tealight the are fine. The plate melter has not had as good of results. Have a fun time at the shower, AmyJo. I don't seem to go to as many of those as I used to. I must be in an in-between age - everyone is married and has kids! Off to the dinner! We went to an antique fair this afternoon and while everyone was looking at the wonderful chests, I was thinking about them as wax storage!
  5. Just a couple free minutes in between things tonight, so I am popping in to post my scent - Lilac Scentsations, Nantucket Briar.
  6. mpfand - sometime when you are heading out here to the coast we will have to connect! We have a lot of forest fire smoke/haze in the air. There are poor air quality reports and the news suggested a couple of things you should do to keep air cleaner inside right now. 1. Don't burn candles. 2. Don't vacuum. Finally! A reason I should not clean the house! AmyJo - what a list. Reading this while I try to cut back on ordering is similar to me reading cookbooks when I am dieting! Tonight - Lilac Scentsations - Red Maple Leaf.
  7. Wowie, Cat! It has been awhile! Nice to see you! You have returned to enablers central! Tonight I opened the back door and thought someone had gone crazy with the bathroom spray! As I walked to the back of the house it got stronger and stronger...I was pretty sure a can exploded. Welp...it was my tart! In case you ever wondered what the scent combos are is those "remove the odor" sprays - this was Gain type with Lemongrass. Biolaeagles - what a trying time you have had! The quarters must have been pretty scary! Funny, Maggie - I tend to "check" my timers off and on to be sure they are still working. They have not let me down yet! Good work, AmyJo! Those sales are sooo tempting!
  8. AmyJo - Miss Kit is about the same...acting completely normal, but only eating a couple handfuls of treats each day. I think her taster is broken. Maggie, I hope you enjoy the timer melter. I have loved just having timers. They come on just before I get home in the evening so I open the door to scent. mpfand - your evening sounds lovely! Tonight is CYS - Pink Champagne.
  9. You can do it, Michele! You can do it AmyJo! I get out my wax from the vendor that is having a sale and look through it - that makes it easier to not give in- I see how much I have! Mpfand - they showed your thunderstorm on our news! That was some amazing lighting! There must be a lot of back up generators on the Strip! I went to an out-of-town wedding yesterday for one of our Brunch Bunch. They had been together for 20 years, decided it was time...so of course we had to go celebrate that with them! Miss Kit has rallied a bit - we were getting to the xrays to look for foreign bodies and she ate a few kitty treats. The problem is now - she is not very hungry and only wants the treats. Odd thing, something similar happened with another of our cats 2-3 months ago. She is just now eating a regular diet. Maybe a bug? Today it is FP = Lavender Cranberry - it has been going all day!
  10. Miss Kit is still not eating...vet beginning to worry about her eating something that is not edible, plugging up the works. Tests tomorrow unless she eats by the morning. AmyJo - those little needle claws hurt! Tonight - SGA - Strawberry Shortcake.
  11. AmyJo - envious that DH likes the melting! I melt away from the area mine watches TV...fewer comments that way! I have not ventured into the world of pretzels. I don't care for the bread scents so I am a little afraid! Well, the kitty had a vet visit this evening. She threw up 4 times and still won't eat. Waiting to see how she does with her anti-nausea meds and her Pepcid! Hopefully this will take care of things and she didn't eat something like a rubber band causing fits. Tonight is LSC - Tuscan Herbs. Wowie, it is a strong one.
  12. Saag Sisters! I like it, AmyJo! This is our 23rd day this summer in the 90's...this is not the weather we are used to at all! I have one kitty with no appetite - hope it is the heat, not something else to worry about. I do that worrying business really well. Really good? Both sound odd right now, LOL! This heat, and now unusual-for-us-humidity is making me chase my scents around the house again. I have melted several things that I have not been able to smell this evening. Now it is Tea Time - Lavender Mint Dreams, another one I still have to chase!
  13. Hello! I'm on the mend, thanks for the get well wishes. Michele, I hope you enjoy your Halloween scents. I like that she has so many scent combinations besides the Halloween usuals = pumpkin and patchouli! I am going to have to see the Pooh movie, it sounds interesting except for the teary stuff. Honeybear, I still have a few HHS left. I am slowly working my way through, on purpose. They seem to be holding up fine. AmyJo - that is my bestest food ever - saag paneer! We are lucky to have several Indian restaurants in our area. The problem is most offer the lunch buffet which is my ticket to eat too much! Tonight - Swan Creek - Gingerbread.
  14. Good evening! A tummy bug has taken over our house, not much interest in melting just yet, but fun to see what you have been up to and melting. Hoping to be all better tomorrow!
  15. Interesting scent combo, Aria! Michele, I hope you enjoy your order - I am now eyeing the site again - like I need more, LOL! Sounds like a fun time, Honeybear! I often wonder if your DH is in one of the jets I see above me heading back and forth to our Intel campus! Seems like they do some very nice things for employees. Today we had our Brunch Bunch - a very nice time at Fort Vancouver in Washington. An old fur trading location, much rebuilt over time. We had breakfast and a history lesson! While I was gone, the mail lady came. I had ordered some pet supplies and for some reason they shipped in separate boxes. She brought them to the door, my husband answered - and said, "she got a lot of packages!" The mail lady responded - "yes, but for some reason none of them seem to be candles!" I have no secrets here... Tonight it is SGA: Beach Nights type.
  16. Yep, AmyJo, explain THAT to the officer! They would probably haul you off one way or another, LOL! Michele, how did you get away without ordering from TBG all these years? I thought we were better enablers than that! You have had great restraint! And Honeybear?? Tonight it is Penn's Woods - Fruity Volcano.
  17. Thank you for the description, Susan. I am not so sure it is my kind of scent, either! It is almost the weekend! I get to meet with my brunch group, I am looking forward to that! We have been meeting for about 3 years. I see L3 is having a "specials' week" for their birthday. I would look further, but it could be dangerous for my credit card. Tonight it is a YC that is pretty strong - Tahitian Nights. Also playing, S&S Birthday Cake which is also a strong one.
  18. Good title-rescue, AmyJo!! It is cooling off a little here, finally - but hot again next week. I better do some ordering fast, LOL! Aria - it sounds like your summer is going to fly by! Tonight is an old one from LOL - Tropical Pear. It is a yummy one, one of the many of hers that I miss.
  19. Susan, what did you think about the chocolate/leather combo? Biolaeagles, nice to see you! Sounds like you have been through a lot, lately. I hope it is all turning around for you now! You guys are energetic! I am overwhelmed thinking about moving wax. I would have to face how much I have stashed away... Tonight it is Tea Time Tarts - Bed & Breakfast - a pecan waffle blend.
  20. I did not cave on L3 - yet - I have waaay too much in my "L3 box". But, looking at the chunks I always tell myself there are a couple scents that I don't have and I probably can not live without! ;) We will be down to 75 degrees in a couple days, and AmyJo I am jealous of your rain! Anyone go to Costco yet and try the new Food Court items? So all the talk about TBG made me look for my stash. I must be a fan of her Halloween scents because that is what most are! I settled for Faerie Bonfire.
  21. Welcome home, Maggie! What a time you had on your vacation! It is true - there is no place like home! mpfand - I think our brains are geared toward smellies! I do have a B&BW Merlot wallflower that smells pretty good, so I see how your thoughts went there! About the ice cube trick - if your wax is the sticky type, the ice usually will not loosen it. Susan, it must have been a very good book! Try as hard as I can, it hits 11, my eyes close! I am going through vendors that have been in business awhile this week - today has been Sugar and Spice - Pink Fantasy
  22. Another hot one today, not 112, but high nineties - enough for me! We had to remove a hornet's nest from the little deck that I just spent so much time decorating. They are tenacious! They keep coming back to be sure it is gone. Good for you for being strong, AmyJo! I also held out! The super hot weather is helping me. Assistant enabler here - CBV has a free loaf with a $50 purchase... Tonight it is Tuscadero's - Montauk Point, another "old reliable" favorite vendor!
  23. Thank you AmyJo - we sure worry about our candlebuddies! About the ice cube trick...when cool, before bed, I set 2-3 cubes on top. Often the wax "puck" is floating in the water when I get up! OK, now you have me looking at the VCS list...sheesh. I have no bizness going there...and L3, one of my favs as well... mpfand - I agree - I think dogs (especially other people's dogs :D ) are as much work as toddlers. They understand just about as well and listen about as well, too! Honeybear, what in the world to you do when it is that hot? Can you stand to be outside at all? Tonight I am going with one called Beach Bum. It is one of the vendors with Fox in the name, but I can't find the wrapper right now!
  24. LOL, Aria! :D It has been close to 100 degrees for several days, so I come home and spend the evening watering! Silly me - this is the year I went crazy with flower pots. AmyJo - you asked about Miss Sophia kitty - she is doing fairly well - really holding out for the spendy food. Guess that is OK, as long as she is eating. Hope it doesn't make a dent in the wax budget, The other one just sat on the remote and turned off the TV volume, and I can't figure out what button she stepped on. This could take awhile! Tonight it is Cheryl's China Rose. Rose is always such a strong one - even after 3 years!
  25. Maggie, hope to see you soon! AmyJo - tough choice! Dontcha hate budgets? Honeybear, I would love to see your Baja ledge! There are some interesting ideas when it comes to relaxing in the pool. Tonight is another old favorite vendor, OOB - Can-Do, the scent is Pink Skies.
