  1. (love that squeaky guinea pig sound!) Where we live, it is a rural road so we don't get any trick-or-treaters...everybody goes up to town. But long ago, in a different house, I did buy candy - candy I loved - and I'm afraid the children didn't get all of it. The person below me likes salsa on baked potatoes.
  2. Good morning all. I hope everyone's staying warm with the cooler temps, lovely to really see Fall. Michele, continuing to send prayers and encouragement for your brother and your entire family. Maggie, that box system sounds perfect - easy in/out at the change of seasons! I'm glad you're enjoying the new seasonal scents, and your low-buy has inspired me this year. Sharon, I'm so glad you're feeling better. The Cleaves rainbow sherbet sounds beautiful. That really is great wax. Melting the last cube of ScentSationals Pumpkin Sugar Cronuts. Enjoy your Tuesday, all.
  3. Good morning all! Oh, it's lovely to see so many posts. Maggie! You changed over to fall, yay! When you say they are organized in boxes, is that by vendor? And were there any "Oh...you again..." moments? Your fall scents sound delicious! Michele, you and I are always at the airports... Someday this will ease up and we won't know what to do. I'm glad you found your post. And yes - TBG White Pumpkin is so great, along with many others - love her Halloween collection. Valerie, I'm glad your daughter is feeling a bit better and I'm sorry you've been on duty at all hours with the time difference. When does her teaching begin, or has it already? Debra, the Night Owl Iced Orange Chiffon Cake sounds so tempting... Actually I would like some of that to snack on. I saw that vendor having a flash sale and forced myself to look away. Well yesterday it was the last of a big fav of mine: Scentsy Casting Spells - pear, apple and spices - the pear is so juicy in this one and next year I shall have to find some on eBay, because this scent is discontinued. and Vintage Road Strawberry Nilla Wafers Vanilla Smoothie - the first one I I've melted from her Strawberry Sampler - and gaaaaaaah it's gorgeous. I love her wax so much. Authentic and creamy and long-lasting. Just a general comment, I've been using some of the lower-wattage melters for everything but paraffin, with much better results. The Ashland warmers are great for CFTKR and Spotted Hog, but seem to blow quickly through the scent on the softer melts. The Glade, Colonial Candle and Scentsy bulb warmers seem to give me longer-lasting throw with the parasoy (and certainly the soy). Have you found this? Thoughts? Have great Monday all!
  4. (The orchard sounds so wonderful!) Yes I do use a teapot. I have an electric one and I also have a cast iron one that has a little filter for the tea leaves. The person below me has had a guinea pig or other small furry animal as a pet.
  5. Good morning all! It was 38F this morning, brrrrr! Finally the leaves are changing in Ohio. I want to clean the house today!! Maggie, love that Bell Bottoms... You really are a great blender! Debra, you are so right... Without GPS I would be a goner! This morning it's: TBG White Pumpkin, which is wonderful and I had forgotten how much I love this one from last year. Better Homes & Gardens Crisp Fall Leaves - and actually this is very beautiful. Have a great Saturday everyone.
  6. Hello all, Stressful drive to the airport this morning, which took an hour more than usual, due to multiple crashes on the highway (not mine ). I took back roads and listened to candle reviews online. This is why I leave extra extra early.... Yesterday I walked into a meeting room and several people exclaimed, "Cinnamon!" I think the culprit was my beloved Cronuts melt. Last night was WoodWicks Lavender Spa melt and I don't know... At first I loved it and then it kind of changed into a household cleaner smell. I was eating popcorn at the time, so maybe that messed it up for me. I will try again because two days ago I loved it. Have a good day all and Happy Friday!
  7. Good morning all! Gorgeous cool morning. Very uplifting. Maggie, it's good to see you, and your scents sound very spooky and delicious. Debra, that Bloom sounds right up my alley. I also like the sound of that Aubrey Marie with the rose and lemon. Is it like rose jam? Michele, I'm glad that your brother will get his surgery soon. I'm also happy that you'll get a new knee soon!! You have so much going on but you seem to keep your cool throughout. Sharon, I'm sorry you aren't feeling well and that the weather is miserable. I love that CFTKR Sea Grass. Well it's been: ScentSationals Sugar Pumpkin Cronuts -my guilty pleasure. I think I like pumpkin. WoodWicks Petite Candle in Coastal Sunset - sweet floral sea air - not my usual kind of scent, but I really like it. One more day! Enjoy!!
  8. No...I actually had the heat on in the hotel last night. Just to 68...it was in the low fifties outside and the bed is right by the balcony. Brrrrrr. The person below me likes a certain kind of apple cider.
  9. Good morning everybody! It's awfully quiet on here...I think the cooler weather has overcome everyone and you are all burning nice fall candles and nodding off. Is this correct? More likely, everybody is just extra busy. Very foggy in the mountains this morning which made for a beautiful sunrise. At lunch now, so here are the recent melts: SEMO Smoldering Embers - a year old and extra strong. Like this one a lot, not tooooo smoky, I think vanilla in there as well. BH&G Chilly Autumn Evening - and this is a beauty - apple, clove, eucalyptus, woods, and musk - light on the apple, thankfully . Really enjoyed this. Maggie's OPT Blue Coconut - her own creation - and you hit another home run here, the blueberry so juicy and nicely balanced with the coconut - oh, I love!! Almost as good as Peace in the Grass. Almost. Have a good Hump Day, all.
  10. Debra, yes, I LOVE Mountain Man from ScentSationals, beautiful scent. And guess what - when the Cronuts one wore out, I changed that melter to WoodWicks Humidor, which is a tobacco scent, and ohhhhhhhhh the two paired so beautifully. As for work, today was much better!! The drama llamas worked out their differences...I saw a Zen Meme this morning of a great herd of alpaca all standing peacefully together in a field.... That was our plant today. Until the next time, I will take it. Wildflower Blooms sounds beautiful! I am actually enjoying floral scents this year. What are the notes?
  11. Good morning all, Michele, I am thinking of you and your brother this morning. Prayers for a complete and speedy recovery, and I'm sending you a big hug. And I'm thrilled that your dad had a wonderful 90th birthday!! Maggie, I love those coffee/tea scents, even more so with the cooler weather. How is school going? Debra, your drive through the wine country sounds fabulous. Isn't it great to be truly into fall? Such a beautiful time of year, and I can only imagine how gorgeous the PNW is right now! Susan, I hope this is the start to a better week. You've had a lot going on at the same time. Honeybear, Cyn, sending greetings to both of you. What's new with you? On the road and yesterday was rocky at work. 50 pounds of potatoes in a 30-pound sack. So I've been melting: ScentSationals Mountain Man ScentSationals Sugar Pumpkin Cronuts .... Both wonderful! And three gifts from generous CF pals: CFTKR Blueberry Muffin (ohhhhh) Flower Finery My Neck, My Back, My Anxiety Attack - which I would have purchased for the name alone, but also smells wonderful - coconut milk, lavender, vanilla sandalwood, chamomile Bunny Sisters Merman - in all its blue sugar wonderfulness. Thank you all so much!! Have a lovely Tuesday, all!
  12. Yes I have decorated! This consists of: Putting out my pumpkin and acorn melters; sticking a sparkly pipe cleaner ghost and pumpkin on the window sill; putting out a few other cloth pumpkins. Done! The person below me know how to cook zucchini blossoms (and if they do, I would like them to please teach me).
  13. Good morning all! Just came in from feeding baby carrots to the horses next door. Two of them are Clydesdales and huge. One is a mini horse and the most cheeky of the bunch. All four are fond of carrots. Michele, I continue to send prayers for your brother. The Grapefruit Rosemary Mint sounds amazing. Maggie, how wonderful to see you...I miss seeing you every day on here. I love that HR Rocky Mountains. Debra, your pomegranate clove scent inspired me to buy a pomegranate to eat! Love, love, love them so much even if those juicy little seeds must be earned... No easy packaging there. Well I've been melting away, and I will say that I'm enjoying this pumpkin scent: ScentSationals Pumpkin Marshmallow Cream - a fav from last year - so creamy and comforting. DH is also a fan. Hayden Rowe Bye Bye Summer - Autumn air, sunlight (what does sunlight smell like?) and burning leaves - gorgeous. Cantaloupe Cake - a Maggie OPT creation - cantaloupe, birthday cake, marshmallow - absolutely delicious! Golden Willow Waxes Bear Creek Comice - pears and vanilla sugar - again I have neglected this excellent vendor and will repurchase next year. And I broke open the Vintage Road Lavender Sampler after two months of curing - if they are all this good, I will keel over from so much happiness: VRC Beauty - French Lavender, Rosemary Mint - very herbal, very strong, just wonderful. I decided not to travel until tomorrow. Enjoy your Sunday, everyone
  14. Evening all! Home again, wonderful. Susan, I'm glad you're back with your regular client. And I'm truly sorry for this difficult time with your BF. I'm thinking about you, sending a big hug. (((((Susan))))) Sharon, glad you survived the wet and wind! It sounds as though fall is finally arriving for some of us. Well I thought I had melted all the apple scents, but I was wrong.... And sometimes it's lovely to be wrong because this one is just fabulous: Southbound October - golden nectar, Mac Apple, and spiced berries. The spicy berries are winning here and wow!! It's one of the best fall scents I've ever smelled. It didn't smell like that on cold - I had no clue!! I would buy a bag of this. Someday. Have a good night all.
  15. Good morning everyone, Michele, I'm very sorry to hear about your brother's diagnosis. I have known people who were cured of lymphoma so many prayers for a complete and speedy cure. Big hugs and I'm sorry for the worry your family is going through with this. I hope your friend who is retiring to Florida will love it down there, such beautiful beaches, and you can go visit her there. Maggie, I hope your cold is much better. I remember loving that CFOW Sea Hag. Debra, isn't that the truth, with peach? I love to eat peaches, but the scents can really be hit or miss. And welcome back from the 90's, lol! Hard to believe we weren't always fixated on a screen. Speaking of peach, Honeybear, it sounds like you found a good one in the Swanky melt! Next year I will buy a few things from that lovely vendor. Happy 80th birthday to your mother! I hope your daughter is getting settled a bit oversea. Hi Susan, I hope you are well. How is the client with the broken hip doing? Will you be able to care for him again soon? Cyn, hope you are doing well and Happy October! Well, some lovely scents the last two days: Ava's Dreamy Lavender - this is an herbal lavender, absolutely gorgeous. SGA Clementine - I put this sample in the hotel bathroom and it blew me out of the room and onto the little balcony. So. Strong. I love this scent. TBG Pagan Moon - apple and strawberry, and I finally brought myself to melt the adorable moon face. Today is the last work day, traveling tomorrow. . Enjoy your Thursday everybody!
  16. (Yes! The shampoo bar, actually a disc, is perfect for travel and lasts a loooooong time. Various scents but I have been enjoying Godiva, which is a Jasmine scent.) Yes! I love dog parks! There are some cool ones in Cincinnati. They person below me likes both herbal and sweet lavender.
  17. Hahahaha Maggie, I love this month's title! Cool and rainy here yesterday. Debra, I hope you get your computer fixed soon, missing you here. Two great scents going: Savannah Blue Long December, a lovely minty blend, and yes it's a bit early but still. Rocket's Peach Pie - Oh. My. Goodness. This was a sample and let me say, it's on Day 3 with a tealight, I like it so well. I am not the biggest bakery fan, especially if there is a lot of buttery background involved. But this is soooooo good. The peach is authentic and tasty, and the pie crust note is always present and delicious, golden brown and fresh from the oven. Absolutely beautiful. Have a good day all!
  18. Good morning everyone! Maggie, I'm so glad you are feeling better. That was a rough start to the school year. Let's hope the bugs stay away now. Michele, prayers that your brother will get good news. On the road again, and the leaves are starting to turn where I'm staying. Very uplifting to see the mountains and the trees in the morning. So last night and this morning it's been: TBG Banshee Dreams - frosted pumpkin cupcakes, espresso, coconut, vanilla, marshmallow. I had two cubes left from last year and this one is delicious. I think I like pumpkin better than apple. Maybe I am just burned out on apple. Cleave's Black Plum and Rhubarb - a generous gift from a dear CF friend - this is spectacular, so juicy and tart. Thank you, thank you! I hope everybody's week gets off to a good start.
  19. I do like waffles. I like the thin ones though, not the big fluffy kind. Waffle House pecan waffle. Ohhhhh that sounds good... The person below me has used a solid shampoo bar.
  20. Good morning all! For those of you with cooler weather (Debra - frost?? Sharon, cool walks? Michele, Maggie, cool rain?), I am indeed jealous, as we have several more days in the 90s coming in Ohio. Maggie, I hope you are feeling better. Last night we went to a retirement party for a work colleague and it was lovely. It is sad to see friends leaving, though. So yesterday and today it's been: TBG Haunted Hayride - granny Smith apple, caramel, cinnamon, pumpkin, hay. I do enjoy this one with the hay note... Reminds me of feeding the horses. VRC Looney Bin - cinnamon apples, barn wood, pine, pinecones, amber. Lovely with that barn wood changing it up a bit. Southbound Sweater Weather - juniper berries, eucalyptus, sage, woods, spearmint, dew. I love this scent. But the prize goes to: CYS Lemon Flannel Sheets -lemon, cotton, linen - fresh and strong. When I am ordering again, will need more of this. In fact, I may need a few things from CYS. She has an extensive list of fresh scents. Have a fine Sunday, all.
  21. Michele prayers have been sent for your brother. I'm sorry and hoping for a great outcome. Happy happy birthday to your father, 90 years young is spectacular. Enjoy the happy celebration! Big hug for you Michele.
  22. Good morning all! Susan, so happy you got your car back! A few scents over the last couple of days have been: Golden Willow Song of Autumn - leaves, spiced apples, clove, pine cones. Beautiful. Woofwix Warm Vanilla Nutmeg & Sugar Cookies - just lovely and very strong. A ghost shape from last year. Hit or miss throw from this vendor last year, but this has cured out beautifully. Vintage Road Vanilla Latte - from the fabulous Coffee Sampler - strong and delicious. And the last three were gifties from sweet CF pals, thank you!! Dessa's Karamell Kitchen - from the Disney Sampler, wonderful. Cheryl's Blueberry Vanilla - scrumptious! I love her perfectly sized melts. Melted Confections Bubblegum Pomegranate - loved this, very kicky and juicy and fun. Melted Confections Rushmore - sandalwood, violets, peach. Lovely! Enjoy your Saturday, all!
  23. Hmmm! No I haven't heard of that... Will check it out... The person below me has a favorite fall sweater.
  24. Good morning all, Maggie, I'm so sorry that you have a terrible cold! I hope the doctor can help today. Cyn, I agree with Susan that Hayden Rowe is a wonderful vendor. Some favorite scents are Cohiba tobacco, Rosemary Basil Lemonade and Christmas Sweater. I think I have finally exhausted most of last year's glut of caramel apple scents and am moving into smoke and pumpkin varieties. Some good ones the last couple of days: TBG Charred Jack O' Lantern - pumpkin, smoke - one of my most loved fall scents Golden Willow Grimoire - smoky pumpkin apple butter - again I have really neglected this wonderful vendor Kae's Scented Melts Patchouli Linen - what a great combination, very clean but mysterious. Cyn, you may know this already, so sorry if repeating, but Debra is locked out from the forum - computer issues, so trying to log in from phone, can you help? Happy Friday All!
  25. Good morning all, At the airport and delayed by two hours. I will be happy to arrive home. Last night was: TBG Illusions of the Labyrinth - Mandarin, musk, sugar, Violet. I had a scrub in this last year and it's a delicious scent. Susan, I'm glad it was just the starter, but still no fun to have a car break down. Have a great day all!
