  1. Good morning all and Merry Christmas Eve, Debra, I am having that same feeling... What am I forgetting? Unfortunately there are answers to that question! I'm very happy that all of you will be together - that's the best present of all!! And to you and everyone else who is hosting, making a dish, or preparing to hold your tongue with those *certain* relatives, may your day be as peaceful and merry as it can be. Tonight we will be going to DH's niece's house for dinner, and tomorrow we will be joining a wonderful gathering of my son's friends as we have been doing every year. We are bringing a dish to both events so from a preparation standpoint, my duties are light. Today I am seeing my best girlfriend, who I call my sister, for lunch and we will exchange presents. So this morning it's: Yankee Cranberry Chutney wax melts - the little cubes - and this is so strong and beautiful. BBW Blueberry Pie - I'm glad another one of these is arriving today because the crust note is just perfection. Have a wonderful Christmas Eve everyone and a very Merry Christmas!
  2. Good morning everyone! I hope everyone is doing well. Countdown to Christmas is coming up quickly! Susan, I also love that 'Tis the Season candle. Well today it's: Southbound Nog Cream - Lush Yog Nog type - caramelized brown sugar, clove, ylang ylang, cotton candy, vanilla, musk. Delicious! Vintage Road Yog Nog type - slightly different but very similar to the SB - caramelized brown sugar, strawberry, clove, ylang ylang, cotton candy, vanilla, musk. I guess the strawberry is the only different note and they do smell different. Is everybody ready? Are you hosting, visiting, or both this year?
  3. Good morning everyone! Very lovely to be home and in my own house. DH has to work today and was apologizing...I tried to act sad. "Oh, that's a shame, sweetheart... I'll manage here in the peace and quiet somehow..." Also the shortest day of the year, so Happy Winter Solstice! Tomorrow the days start getting longer, which always makes me happy. Susan, if you are in Virginia, perhaps we could have a coffee sometime...I am there almost every week...DM me if you like. I love your beautiful state and we used to camp along Skyline Drive years ago... Only saw bears a couple of times and always hope to again. Maggie!! You're actually on break now, will you have some time to relax? You made me laugh when you said I'm social... When it comes to our group, yes... Wax provides a common ground and I don't know, scent people just seem to be a lovely crowd... At work I am regarded as a bit of a hermit, staying 40 minutes away from everyone else in my little mountain hotel... I need space. Debra, you will need a break from cat wrangling. Is everybody finished with shots now? I salute your excellent care of your pets! Michele, I hope you will have some downtime over the holidays because soon The Year of the Weddings will be upon you. I hope you're not hosting New Year's again this year. Honeybear, now that your DD is home, how is she doing? And I hope your DH is feeling better! Yesterday I had the eye doctor who said my eye thing is stable, and that my job is to continue using the cream and drops, so yay!! He says that airplanes are terrible for eyes because they have no humidification, and asked did I travel much? Well it's been: Southbound Sugared Spruce - cassis, Spruce, fir needles, sugar. Gorgeous. Vintage Road Berry Balsam - balsam, cedar, sugared berries - really like this. BBW Fresh Balsam - this candle will finish in about an hour and I'm sorry to see it end. Homeworx Amaretto Pumpkin - oh this is just lovely, although he wants to get too hot and soot, so he is one you have to not let burn too long and keep trimming. Nonetheless this is a beautiful scent and throws very well. and as a little treat, BBW Rose Water Meringue - from the new spring collections - Oh. My. Goodness. Scandalously delicious. A gentle rose with perhaps a bit of berry in there, and a tasty creamy background.... Ohhhhhhh. Another War and Peace posting, will she ever stop talking?? Enjoy your Saturday...Countdown to Christmas, so Stay Calm and Enjoy!
  4. Fireplace - not yet - when we downsized three years ago, we gave up the huge WBFP we used to have in our former home. But in a few months, we will be completely debt-free, so a gas fireplace is on the list of home upgrades on the (short) list. I love a fireplace so very much (and I hope the person below me has one as well). The person below me gives Christmas presents to the mailman and garbage man.
  5. Good morning all! Back in Virginia, lovely clear day and colder at 27F. I got in to my hotel around midnight last night and the lady at the desk said that a black bear, around 250 lbs, had just lumbered through the parking lot. I just missed him/her. This is why I stay by my mountains. I had the great fortune to meet a lovely waxie friend in Houston yesterday - she has a YouTube channel which I've been enjoying for some time. I mentioned this board and how wonderful all of you are, so perhaps she will poke her head in here and say hello. I continue to be stunned by the delightful people in our little wax community. Susan, I hope you enjoyed your wax chopping. There is something about creating all those little pieces which is very satisfying! Debra, i wonder how many OOB vendors you have seen over time... It has to be so tough to sustain a small business, especially when there's so much competition out there. Sharon, your melts sound lovely. I try to imagine Christmas in your village and think it must be beautiful and less commercial than here. If that's not true, just leave me in my ignorance. Well last night while unpacking it was: BBW Fresh Cut Lilacs - this one has a greenery note, so lovely. And this morning it's: BBW Blueberry Pie - Oh. My. Goodness. The fruit! The crust! Can't I take this to work with me? Enjoy your Wednesday all! Home tomorrow night!
  6. Greetings everyone, I was very lucky yesterday and had no travel problems, despite numerous flights being cancelled from the snow. I seem to have brought colder weather with me, though, as it is 41 this morning in Houston and it was 70 yesterday morning. This hotel turned on the furnace for the first time this season, and it had a little trouble getting started, which set off the fire alarm. So we all piled out into the street at 9 last night...I thought my candle was to blame and kept a low profile... Maggie, I believe you are in the throes of Christmas parties at school, aren't you? Updates please!! And I hope all of the teachers will buy up your beautiful wreaths again this year. Michele, a work colleague of mine is really struggling after his knee operation and again I am thrilled at how well you are doing with your recovery, amazing! Debra, you are truly the Cat Wrangler. Three at once to the vet, no no no!! I can't even imagine! Are you all back on speaking terms yet? I stand in awe! And your orange peel melt sounds divine. Susan, the Apples & Cinnamon scent sounds lovely. I'm happy to be enjoying apple again after we had our falling out earlier this autumn...apple overload. Honeybear, I'm thinking your DD will fly home soon and I know you will all be greatly relieved! Safe travels to her! Sharon, are you getting any snow? And are there any holiday traditions at this time of year which are uniquely Welsh? Well I did bring along a couple of candles on this trip - I needed a break from all the Christmas scents: BBW Fresh Cut Lilacs - just glorious - we have a huge old lilac bush in the side yard and this candle does it proud. BBW Beachscape - Sea Breeze, Cotton, Lotus Flowers - so fresh and beautiful. Enjoy your Tuesday everybody!
  7. Greetings all, It snowed with intent last night and there is a lovely white blanket outside. Not sure what that will do with flights today but we shall find out shortly. Debra, yes this week does involve travel to two different locations, but hopefully I will be home Thursday night for two and a half weeks. I am very eager to be home! I love the sound of your Berry Rosewater scent. Well it's been: YC Cherries on Snow, wax melt - love, love, love this scent. ST The Santa Clause - the last of the breakaway bar - eggnog, cinnamon, pine, delicious. BBW Apple Cardamom Crisp - one of my favorite candles of the season, despite its desire to soot, with the apple delicate and not overly sweet, and an exquisite cardamom note. Backup(s) may have been purchased. Homeworx Amaretto Pumpkin candle - beautiful scent! although the four wicks need diligent trimming, and we have had to review the sooting expectations. Making a good dent in the wax melts, and should be able to complete the Christmas melting basket. The candle collection, however, continues to grow. I suppose it is hopeless and I should just enjoy it. Happy Monday all! Be careful out there!
  8. Yes to cherry cheesecake!! I meant was there any special pie at Christmas (pecan, cherry, apple, mince...). But I have also done cherry cheesecake on numerous Christmases like yourself and now that you've mentioned it....hmmmm.... Blinking lights... Yes, and I would say I prefer twinkling lights best of all, where individual lights twinkle on and off. I don't like so well when entire trees, or entire sections, blink on and off as a group. The person below me has a Christmas creche.
  9. Hello everyone! Well the rains played havoc with flights last night, but I finally arrived home at 1 AM and fell into bed. It is so blissful to be back in my house with DH and the critters. Susan, I'm sorry you and the BF broke up, but I think it's his huge loss. You sound like a kind, hard-working, nurturing person and I believe there is something better in store for you. Still I'm sorry you've had to go through this and am sending you a big hug. As for candles, I totally agree with you - no matter how much stronger the wax melts are, there is something about a flickering flame that is soothing to the soul. I'm glad you can burn them again and that they bring you peace and joy. The medium WoodWick sounds beautiful...I will try a bigger one next time on your reco. Maggie!! I'm glad the concerts were a success, and that they are done for this season. Now on to the parties and goodies!! And LMAO, I really doubt it was your DINNER causing an off smell, booo to that nasty wax! . How was the Wax Workshoppe? All of mine is gone, and she has sold her shop, right, or is she OOB?.... Your Dessa's sounds great - I love anything with candy cane and cookies together. Debra, I must admit, I was worried about you and kitty at the dentist/vet, So I'm glad to hear that that is all over with. Of course, a grudge will be held for some required amount of time! And yes...I am a big fan of both rain and snow, unless cold rain like we are currently having just drags on and on, and then I wish it would go ahead and kick over into the beautiful whiteness! Well I've just been melting and burning right and left today: TBG Sleigh Bells - Sugared pines, orange, peppermint, clove, apple. Another fabulous Christmas scent from this vendor. YC Cranberry Chutney wax melts - How this company can make such fabulous little cubes of wax, yet turn out huge unscented candles, is a mystery to me. BBW Fresh Balsam - If I should keel over suddenly, please burn this at my wake... So fresh and strong and beautiful, and it is not offering to soot at all. Right up there at the top of the list of holiday candles for me. BBW Spiced Gingerbread - also wonderful and smells like the real thing. Again a wonderful burn with minimal soot. This is very gratifying after weeks of smoke monsters, to finally have some that are burning cleanly. Slatkin Homeworx Enchanted Peony - the last of this magnificent candle - I had to cotton ball it the other day when the wicks started drowning and I used that for pocket wax all week - it finally started smoking and turning dark at the very finish, and I had to blow it out... But this was a jewel and fear not, I have backup(s). So the Velcro Cat and I are chilling and I guess I will tidy up a bit, although DH has been keeping things in much better order lately when I am away. Have a lovely evening everyone.
  10. Good morning all! Greetings from New England, colder and snowier and very pretty up here. Maggie, I have thought about you all week and hope the concerts have all gone beautifully. I imagine you have some stories to tell! I'm sorry your BHG Frazier Fir was a soot monster... So annoying. I'm glad everything else burned clean for you. Debra, how did you and kitty fare with the dental work?? Fingers crossed that everything went smoothly, let us know! Susan, your scents all sound festive and beautiful, and you have been busy at the melter/flame! How was the WoodWick? How many wicks was that one, and was it very noisy? Michele, so happy about your knee. So far yours has been one of the smoothest recoveries I've seen, not that it hasn't been painful, but you're like The Little Engine That Could and just got on with the job. . And ohhh that VRC Cinnamon Peppermint Cream! Well yesterday was a whirlwind and last night I just fell into bed, but this morning it's: Zeep Christmas Tree - two years ago, this scent was one of the first wax melts I had, from a Zeep mystery box that Maggie had recommended. I remember opening that box and seeing all the beautiful, fragrant shapes inside and just being blown away....a fairyland. That was the beginning of a long and happy rabbit hole of melts and good smells and even better friends. I will always cherish this beautiful scent. Happy Friday everyone!
  11. Good morning all! Well it has snowed here in Virginia, very pretty on my mountain. Not the Storm of the Century that the news was going on about, but I'm glad to have some snow. Maggie, I'm so glad the concert went well! I'm sorry two of the little ones caught the flu, no fun at all. I'm thinking about you as you continue through the Christmas shows!! Yes... Honey can indeed be troublesome... But your Spruce scent sounds heavenly. Debra, cat dentistry....I do not envy you trying to keep her away from breakfast...I will be thinking about you this morning, yikes!! And PNW rain... Oh just so lovely with the mountains and the sea... Well the Christmas scents continue and I'm enjoying them so much: TBG A Snow Globe World - buttermint, candy canes, salted caramel, brown sugar, roasted chestnuts. One of her classic scents and I'm in love. I bought all of these a year ago and the cure is beyond wonderful. Also, such a pleasure to enjoy the buttermint note... Maybe it's just my nose, but in some other vendors, that buttermint oil smells like fish. Not here, though - it's just like the soft pillowy candies. TBG Tinsel Forest - orange zest, pine, cinnamon, pomegranate, clove. There is something about the orange and the pine together which fills my soul. Not the same as BBW Winter at all, although the notes sound similar. I will be needing more of this next year. I should buy it now and let it cure for a year but that could set off a spending spree so I won't. WoodWicks Petite Candle in Fireside - still sputtering along without a lot of fragrance, but he's doing his best. I have had another day trip tacked onto the end of this one... Will return home late Friday now. One more week... Have a good Hump Day all.
  12. (love your Christmas specials, totally agree, Charlie Brown is first.) Oh that's tough because I deeply love all the Christmas scents... All the trees.... Cranberry... Mint of all kinds... Puddings...ohhhh i love it all. I have to say that the OPT Tinsel Tree was way up there, and oh my goodness, TBG has something similar that I'm melting tonight, Tinsel Forest! It's that same pine and citrus.... Just love! And YC Balsam & Cedar is always a big favorite. The person below me has a most loved Christmas pie.
  13. love this question so much I wasn't familiar with Dominic the Donkey so I YouTubed it and yes, it is now firmly engrained as today's earworm....I share your enthusiasm for this song... To me, the most lethal Christmas song is Andy Williams' Most Wonderful Time of the Year... I can hardly bear to type those words...If you love that one please forgive me...To me it is such in-your-face, smile-or-die, forced happiness...I can't change it over quickly enough. "It's The Most Miserable Song of the Year," and I may have to listen to Dominic again to get it out of my head. Most hated scent....Yes....That had to be a Rosemary Cotton blend from a vendor who shall remain nameless. From the second it hit the melter, it filled the room with waves of Clorox... chokingly strong....the Rosemary nowhere to be found. I ended up tossing a large quantity. Happily, that doesn't happen very often! (and yours?) The person below me has a favorite Christmas special on TV.
  14. Hello all! Maggie, I will be thinking about you at your concerts and hope the children will enjoy themselves! Soon you can relax a bit...I hope! The CC Sage Leaf sounds so beautiful. Debra, yes, it was tough to avoid the last Wonderberry sale last week... Sadness! I think you have been more rigorous than I have on this ban.. I've done well with the vendor wax but candles are another story! The Strawberry/mint/shaving cream sounds amazing. Well here in the hotel it's been: OPT Tinsel Tree - a big fav from last year and my last piece - never did get all the scent notes but there is grapefruit and pine in there. Amazing and of course she is going OOB. YC Balsam & Cedar - in the little wax cubes - Soo strong and beautiful. I had forgotten how much I love this one. WoodWicks Petite Candle in Fireside - honestly not much scent but it is coming to the end. Enjoy your Tuesday all! Looks like colder weather is coming.
  15. Good morning dear all, A rainy day in Ohio and it looks as though it will get much colder this week. Back on the road for this week and next, then the holidays! Maggie, congratulations on completing your decorating! I hope you can now enjoy them and relax - once the concerts are finished!! So many vendors going OOB, it's too sad, and I think caused by our collective low-buy... And it's not just us.... On social media it appears that many people are on a vendor wax ban of one kind or another, after massive overbuying....gee... Not that I ever did that.... Debra, thank you for the reminder, I have been neglecting my CFTKR. Once we get into January, I must re-focus on the wax baskets. Sharon, a curry?! I'm on my way. Your Bluebell/grassy scent sounds lovely. Michele, I continue to be thrilled about your knee. And that VRC Peppermint Marshmallow is one of life's gifts. Well it's been: ST Christmas Vacation - Christmas tree and spearmint - lovely and strong. TBG Sleigh Bells - sugared pine, orange, peppermint, clove, apple - very different... love, love, love. BBW Fresh Balsam 3-wick - spectacular and fresh. One of the wicks broke off when I was trimming, but with a bit of candle surgery, DH and I have fixed it. Homeworx Enchanted Peony - 4-wick - continuing with this beloved candle. Keeping the wicks very short and limiting burn time to two hours has resolved the extreme heating issue. Have a lovely Monday all!
  16. you "don't hate it" Yes, I keep a small spray in my car... At the moment it is BBW Hot Cocoa & Cream which I am obsessed with. Also love that Balsam & Cedar! The person below me has one Christmas song that she will change the channel to get away from.
  17. Well good morning all! I hope everyone is enjoying the start to the weekend. Happy to say that I decided to forego going in person to BBW Candle Day and successfully ordered the two candles I hoped for online. I'm glad you ladies enjoyed the trivia questions...I just hide my head during some of the sections... Maggie, I'm glad you enjoyed the work party! Also the Pumpkin Friendship Bread sounds delicious. Debra, anything with Cozy Cabin in the name is going to get my vote, especially from Cheryl's. Susan, I like that BBW Spiced Apple Toddy... How was the throw from the smaller candle? Sharon, the Bluebell scent sounds interesting...I must admit that I am looking forward to the spring scents. Well it's been: Colonial Candle Snow Day - my beloved soft wax in the little oval clam - luscious and so strong that I had to turn it off. Eucalyptus, juniper, mint. Southbound Winter Palace - pink sugar, plum, cherries, oranges, peppery woods. I love this one so much and after a year it was very strong. ScentSationals Iridescent - I had high hopes for this one, but to my nose it was too heavy on the pink sugar. Waaaaay sweet. It says spearmint and vanilla woods but I'm not getting those notes. BBW Hot Cocoa & Cream - absolutely delicious. Huge wicks that must be kept very short or it burns violently. And the star of this week, while granted it has nothing to do with Christmas: Enchanted Peony four-wick candle by Harry Slatkin off QVC - bought on clearance "as is," not a thing wrong with it - Oh. My. Goodness. Such a beautiful fruity floral, and I love it so much that I reordered the scent. Gorgeous heavy hobnail jars. Again violently huge, hot flames and must be kept severely trimmed, so hot that I couldn't touch the candle without a mitt. Last year I guess they had wicks that would drown and not stay lit, so they went completely to the other extreme. In any case, I want to smell this scent forever. Enjoy your weekend all!
  18. Good morning all! Maggie, LMAO, I'm glad you actually sat down for five minutes. You have been moving children in and out of houses... Teaching... Helping your father, endlessly....You always have so much going on and it's no wonder you are exhausted. I see you turning wreaths out right and left on Instagram... those didn't just make themselves. Sometimes the couch is the answer and I'm glad you took advantage of it. As my mom used to say, "Even God rested!" Michele, I'm joining Debra in cheering about your knee!! I think you have a great attitude about it, just getting on with the job. I saw the trouble you were having before and am so glad this is working out so well. Valerie, it's good to see you!! I know your daughter is disappointed, but hopefully she will still have some good memories about the experience, or at least good learnings. There may be things that will play out in wonderful ways down the road that she has no way of anticipating now. In any case, I know you've been terribly worried and will be relieved to have her back on this side of the ocean. Debra, my trivia category...Well, history and geography are surely not it... Not too bad with Authors.... But they really haul me along for the Rhyming section. Every answer must be two words that rhyme. For your pleasure, here are three clues, followed by their three answers: Clues: 1. Instruct Students in Elocution 2. Frumpy Doody 3. Faux Gateau Answers: 1. Teach Speech 2. Dowdy Howdy 3. Fake Cake This is so useful and necessary in life, which is why I can do it. Just don't ask me which US state is closest to Bermuda. Well I'm going home today! So this morning I'm melting more of that ST Santa Clause snap bar - the eggnog and cinnamon one, fabulous. Also burning: WoodWicks Petite Candle in Pumpkin Butter, very nice. A little sputtery towards the finish. Enjoy your Thursday all! And, since I know this is eating you up, the US state closest to Bermuda is.... North Carolina. And yes, we got it wrong (Florida? South Carolina? Puerto Rico? Wait, that's a territory...).
  19. Good morning all, Michele, I'm sorry your wax had you coughing, that is simply unacceptable!! Hope you feel better. Last night was Trivia Night with the work group at a local restaurant. We didn't win but it was a blast. Each of us has our stronger categories (history not being mine) so everyone is needed. So this morning it's: TBG Mrs Cratchit's Christmas Pudding - ohhhhhh, just exquisite - cake, plums, raisins, carrots, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla brandy. This clam is a year old and cured to perfection. I must write this one in the To Repurchase list. Today is very full. Have a good Wednesday all!
  20. Good morning all! Traveling again so just a quick note. Susan, your combination of scents sounds amazing and I'll bet it did smell fabulous in there! I do love all the holiday scents. Deb, "lockdown," I love this description. Sharon, snow on the mountains - it sounds so beautiful. And yes - plum scents are among my favorites! Well last night I arrived at the hotel and popped on one I had forgotten completely about: Super Tarts The Santa Clause - eggnog, cinnamon, nutmeg, peppermint, sugar cookies. Oh my goodness, but this is wonderful. This one is in a breakaway bar, which I remember buying after enjoying her Christmas sampler last year, so I must have liked it then too, but I surely had forgotten how much! Delicious! Have a good Tuesday all!
  21. We have no snowblower. Frankly I would welcome enough snow to need one... The person below me loves fruitcake.
  22. Good morning all, It's so lovely to see so many of us on here! (Ahem, Valerie? Cyn? Aria, are you lurking? Our other Michelle?) This morning I am procrastinating packing... Yes, I will do it soon... Maggie, the board is not the same when you're not here, so lovely to see your name, and now you have me rummaging through my coffee melts for some to take along... Susan, I'm so happy that you had a pleasant stay with your family, and that you are still glad at the END of the visit that you live nearby. Thank you for the reminder that I also have votives that need chopping! Debra, isn't cardamom just one of the loveliest scents? I love cooking with it... and coming across one of the little open seeds when eating is always a delight. You mention Scentsy... I also think they have some spectacular scents and would purchase again someday... Do you have anything newer than 2018? I'm hoping they resolved their older issue with the leaking oils. Michele, I am beyond delighted with your progress with your knee and that you can use the stairs sometimes now. Kudos to DH for learning to clean out your melters - truly, he is a keeper. And the good news about your brother is the best of all. Also, yes you are melting all sorts of interesting scents these days and inspiring the rest of us!! Sharon, are you getting any more snow to go with the cold weather in Wales? My beloved Evergreen candle is glad that Maggie and Debra have been enjoying his story, and he is proud of his clean burning progress. He simply must have the shortest of wicks but then happiness abounds. It's also been: BH&G Incense & Evergreen - very nice, a sort of pine/patchouli combo, heavy on the latter and kind of a Hippie Christmas vibe. BBW Frankincense and Myrrh - just started this this morning and I really like it. I love Frankincense - there is a historic restaurant and gift shop in Lebanon, Ohio called The Golden Lamb that we went to every year when I was a child, and the store always smelled of this. It was like stepping back in time, and my mother loved it. Very nostalgic scent. Isn't that one of the best things about fragrances, that they can take us instantly back to beautiful memories? Well I hope everyone will have a fine start to the week. Take care, all.
  23. Greetings all! Michele, my heart and prayers go out to your friend, terrible news but let's hope they've caught it in time. Also sending you big hugs as you begin the healing from the knee operation. Maggie, it's good to see you!! You have had such a year, taking care of your dad, moving your DD's... It just never stops and I salute your perseverance. The Pumpkin Pancakes do sound tempting... Yes... Where is the batter mix... Debra, you are so kind to your little feral kitty... I'm sure he is grateful for his warming pad and his house, so much better than being exposed to the elements! Susan, enjoy what's left of the OPT...I also have very little remaining of that vendor. Sharon, I hope it will be a bit warmer in Wales this weekend for you. Well it's been: TBG Elf Morning Blend - coffee beans, candy canes, milk chocolate, marshmallow, peppermint bark. Thankfully the peppermint bark is a lesser note here....I can't explain why I love to eat anything chocolate mint but don't care for the smell. BBW Grateful - Cardamom Apple Crisp - and I'm really enjoying that cardamom note. BBW Pink Petal Teacake - one-wick, in the bathroom - rose petals, strawberry poundcake - no words. I absolutely adore this beautiful scent. My beloved BBW Evergreen, which was burning so cleanly and beautifully until the halfway point, suddenly turned into a chimney yesterday, sooting merrily away, so despite trimming the wicks, he will be going on the warmer tonight. UPDATED - I love this candle very much, so he and I had a little heart-to heart. I trimmed his wicks back even more and restated my position on sooting. I am pleased to say that we have now had one hour of a clean burn. This week went by so terribly quickly and travel begins again this week for three weeks. I must put my head down and get it done. Enjoy your Saturday all!
  24. Good morning all! I hope everyone had a beautiful Thanksgiving! Michele, I'm so glad you are home at last. I hope the knee will show steady improvement for you. Sharon, stay warm over there in North Wales! Susan, I admire your tenacity in working through your OPT!! Debra - yes, stuffed - I was quite full yesterday. Your pumpkin Souffle melt sounds divine. Well today I will retire The Enchanted Pumpkin warmer for the season and give the spotlight to Gnome For The Holidays. The latter has been in apprentice mode the last few days and I hope he will behave properly. So I've been a melting fool the last few weeks and I have the Christmas melts down to 26 items, perfect from now until Christmas, so hurrah, I can relax a bit and continue to enjoy the candles as well. I have reduced the total number of warmers going in the house to two and am enjoying it much more. As usual I had overdone... Well it's been: ScentSationals Mixables - Cranberry Chutney and Spruce, in one longish clamshell - a beautiful pairing. TBG Russian Ice Bath - peppermint, menthol, spearmint, eucalyptus, lemon, vanilla - so gorgeous. BBW Evergreen - continuing in the living room - I adore this. Perfect clean burn, no sooting - why, why don't they stick with these wicks?? Perfection! Vintage Road Candles S'mores candle - in the kitchen - lovely scent. Thick wicks that make larger flames so I am keeping them trimmed. I hope everyone will enjoy Friday, especially if you don't have to work today. Enjoy the leftovers!
