Debra ~ That Apple Harvest Patchouli Passion sounds so interesting. How was it? Maggie ~ I bought my CandleAires from the website and I’m pretty sure they have a one year warranty. I’ve never seen them in stores, but if it’s less than a year old, I’d call them directly. Amy ~ In the 20s?! Way too cold for me! Aria ~ Love that Christmas Wish blend! I’m going to have to search my stash to find some. Super Tarts had a really good one a few years ago in their Advent Sampler, if I’m remembering correctly. Happy Halloween! ???????????? I’m super excited for Halloween tonight! I realized that we haven’t had trick-or-treaters since 2004! That’s because the house we built after that one was in a more rural area where the houses were far apart. We never had any trick-or-treaters and I always missed it. LOL Personally, I used to leave all my warmers on most of the time, but after hearing a vendor say he saw a wax hot plate smoking, I make sure I turn everything off before I leave the house. However, I will sleep with a hot plate in my bedroom because I figure if it starts smoking, I’ll be right there. The bulb kind made me nervous for some reason. Good morning! Debra ~ l’m giving the candle another try today, and if it doesn’t perform, back it goes. I have my receipt and I’ll go swap it for something that I know does well! I’m missing the cinnamon one I burned a lot to help get our house sold. And, I know this will sound crazy , and I don’t know how on earth it took so long for me to find it, but last week when DD#1 was here, we found an outdoor mall that’s only 10 minutes from here! Gosh, Carolooni. That sounds awful! So sorry that happened! I know a little about that, and also, my mom fell last summer and broke her shoulder. Only one month earlier she had a stroke. No fun. My experience with an attempted break-in was back in ‘96 when my oldest daughter was a little over a year old. The doorbell rang about 9 in the morning and I didn’t answer it because we had just woken up. It rang again and then knocking on the door, but I didn’t recognize the car in the driveway so I thought I would ignore it. He proceeded to kick the door in. I screamed at the top of my lungs and he took off. Clearly, he just thought he was going to come in and help himself to whatever it was he wanted. Terrifying time for sure! Carolooni ~ I prefer the hot plate warmers, but I have a lot of tealight ones as well, just don’t use them as often. I haven’t counted my warmers lately, but I can say I am in the double digits. I don’t use them all at once, of course, but they are out and about throughout our home. This new house is just under 3000 square feet, so there are lots of nooks and crannies to fill. And yes, I do make my own melts. Way back in 2006, I learned how to make candles, then started making tarts (melts). My intent was to start a small business, which I kind of sort of had for a while, but never really wanted to make it too big of a thing because I worried that I wouldn’t enjoy it anymore. Let’s just say it’s been an expensive hobby. Amy ~ Little Heidi Pie has been the easiest kitten ever! She’s already so much a part of the family, It’s like she’s been here for a long time. Neither Lila nor Kitten hiss anymore. Maggie ~ How was that Pumpkin Pear? I can’t say I’ve ever heard of that combination before. Debra ~ Good job on getting your stash organized! DH left this morning on a business trip to Orlando, Florida, and DD#1 comes for her first kitty visit on Wednesday. He’ll get home Friday morning and she leaves Friday night, so their time together will be short, but he’s going out to visit them next month for a weekend. Lots of coming and going!!

Fall break flew by too quickly! DD#2 had an early morning flight back to Albuquerque. As expected, she fell in love with little bit, too. We’ve all decided to call her Heidi Pie. I worked at a cute little pie shop/restaurant called Heidi Pies when I was in high school, so it kind of makes the name extra special for her. Suki wasn’t working, and DD#2 has a professor with blue hair this semester who she is not fond of named Sophie. So Heidi it is! Debra ~ Gosh, I’m sorry it’s such s long time without internet for you. Michele ~ How nice that one of your DD’s is hanging out with you and DH in Ohio.
