We actually celebrate two anniversaries in a row (thanks to leap year) because it was this day 27 years ago that we met, and well, we’ve basically been married since that day in our minds. LOL Tonight we’re going to a Wine & Wheel class at a pottery suture in Downtown Chandler. We took DD#2 there last time she was here, and now it’s DD#1’s turn. Hi, CF friends! Debra ~ If you’re asking why my iPad is so slick, I’m not sure. I guess it’s just shiny and that makes it kind of slippery! I’m hoping having a cover will help me to hold onto it a little bit better. Thank you for the anniversary wishes! Technically it’s not until the 21st, but we just wanted to get early presents for each other. They are also kind of Mother’s Day and Father’s Day presents since this is the first year we won’t have our girls with us on those special days. I’m not really used to it yet, but I think I’m really gonna like it. AmyJo ~ I think I’m good on the CFOW and Zeep wax. I have thought about doing an OPT order since I’ve never ordered from her. Yesterday I did a Gold Canyon order because they’re having 21% off of everything for the next four days.. Hello, my friends. I've missed you all. :wub: I've been catching up on all of your lives and I really do love our little community. Sounds like overall, everyone is doing well and that's something to be grateful for. Michele ~ I'm sorry to hear you're having problems with your knees though. Have you ever heard of Dr. John Sarno? DD#2 just left yesterday afternoon and DD#1 arrived in Prague today. I'm missing them both. DD#2 was coughing for a majority of her post-trip stay with us, but we still enjoyed catching up on our Gilmore Girls. I need to get back into my normal melting. Today I've got Zeep The Library and Lilac Scentsations Buttercream Sugar Cookie, both gifts from sweet CF pals. I'm really loving this Library one! I'm also one who melts my wax until all of the scent is gone, unless I really don't like it much (which is rare). I am so bad that I switch to different melters. Our master closet is rather large and I had an outlet put in there so I could have the same melter I had in my last house in there. So many times I put older wax in there or in the laundry room to use it up. All this talk about iPads and guess what DH and I have decided we're getting ourselves for our upcoming 26th wedding anniversary?

Sorry! I posted my last post in the wrong month earlier. ???? I sniffed my CFOW order earlier. All smell amazing! Especially I like one of the Barbershop 1920s blends, the one with ocean breeze or something like that. It smells soooo good! I'd check now, but I have a kitty cat on my lap.

Hope everyone had a relaxing weekend. DH and I had a few projects to do, watched War Horse (I'd never seen it, but he had) and bawled like babies, then played Scrabble in the Arizona room (aka back patio). This morning I had a furniture delivery I've been waiting on. Finally, my Canadel stools for the island are here! I don't know why it took so long for me to decide, but they are perfect. :wub: Maggie ~ That OPT blend sounded so good! I checked it out, but I was hoping for more of a sampler of all of those chunkies, instead of full bags. Besides, I guess I missed the sale, so a first-time OPT order was not to be. AmyJo ~ Don't you just love days like these?! I got my CFOW shipping notice last night. I need to watch the mail closely to make sure it doesn't sit in the box for any length of time. Our mailboxes are around the corner and the temperature is rising this week. Debra ~ I'll bet that was beautiful and I love baby ducklings. DH and I have decided a baby kitten is in our near future. ;) Mpfand ~ Yes, every year I get the same lecture from DH about the meanings of Memorial Day and Veteran's Day. So hard to leave DD#1 and her sweet kitty cat, Louise. :( DD#2 will be home early Wednesday morning. It feels like she's been gone for six months! :wacko: I spoke with her earlier and she informed me she has plans to study abroad there for a whole semester next Spring (She was supposed to graduate in December, but realized she is going to be one class short.) I'm happy for her following her dreams, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't very disappointed she won't be moving here like she had planned. I came home to a nice surprise in my mail from a sweet CF friend, so those are the melts for the day. Thank you! Debra ~ Have fun at the beach! I always have a hard time deciding which melts to bring, too. This time, though, I didn't have to worry about bringing any because the girls have a nice little basket full. I'm intrigued by this VCS Grandma's Pearls scent. I'm going to have to go check it out. AmyJo ~ I had my cart full with FP the other night for several samplers and a few four-packs, to the total of about $100, but I didn't pull the trigger. Decided to wait until morning, and now I'm too worried because of the heat. That is a softer wax than normal, and I also remembered her wax doesn't hold up well for me in the way I melt. If you don't melt them all right away, they all end up having the same odd smell. Michele ~ Yes, I know exactly how you feel! I just told my DH tonight that I have too much wax, that it makes me anxious, that I feel guilty. He said, "No, you need more." He doesn't know what he's talking about. He's such a nice guy though, and he has his hobby (motorcycle), so he lets me enjoy mine. Thing is, I have so much wax that it has become hard to decide what to melt. Because with everything so neatly stored, it is difficult to mess up my stash...if that makes any sense at all. Here in New Mexico today, I had my dental cleaning, met one of DD#2's old friends for coffee, and then took my mom to dinner and Costco because DD#1 is working tonight. I thought it might be an early night since I'm tired, but the neighbor's decided Tuesday night was a good night for a party. Hello ???? I'm with DD#1 in Albuquerque finally...after a delay due to mechanical issues, then having to get off the plane because of another mechanical issue, and then having to wait for another plane altogether. It was all good though. I made a friend and it was probably best to give the thunderstorms a chance to move their way out of the area anyway. ST Luna ST Harry will start in the morning (My daughter is melting GC Amber Vanilla, so Harry will have to wait til tomorrow.) I realized the one thing I forgot to do was leave a mailbox key for DH. I have two and somehow misplaced the third. Hoping CFOW holds off shipping my Mother's Day order. Maybe I should see if the post office can hold my mail, just in case ????

Hello girls :) Thanks for all of the condolences for Zoe. It's been a whirlwind of activity with a new (used) car for DH and getting DD#2 off to France, on top of losing our fur baby. I hardly feel I've had the time to really grieve yet. And then yesterday we had a scare with DD#2's over three times the normal trip from the airport to her hotel...with no contact. DH and I were in a panic, and DH never worries. I think I can safely say I've never been more frightened in my life...ever. Somehow I've got to get a handle on this, or this will be me end of June. After DD#2 gets back end of May, DD#1 heads out for her European adventure. AmyJo ~ late!
