Thanks, girls! Now to get through the inspections! These people want in on the 28th, so it will be a mad dash. When I heard they had cash, I wondered why they would be so unreasonable, but then I realized the market is so much higher in California, that this house there would be a couple million at least. Maybe they really didn't have our asking price, so they needed to come in lower. I also heard they sold their home with everything in it, leaving only with their clothing! Anyway, we will be out of here on the 27th, and it will be a family affair with the girls and kitties driving out there with us. I don't envy those of you getting snow. I'm actually looking forward to getting out of the cold weather. Good Morning ???? Eight long months ago to the day, we put this house on the market for the second time (just six months previous, it was taken off the market after 2 years 4 months with one showing). And today is the day we get to put a sold sign up. It almost feels surreal. Am I completely satisfied? The answer lies in my hope that these people come to appreciate the amazing deal they got, and more importantly, take good care of and love this house, the house we literally built from the ground up. But something good has come out of it because now my girls are getting an apartment together, which will help make the process of us leaving the state just a little bit easier for them. They will have each other, as well as many of the items from the house as furnishings and housewares and stuff...a little slice of home away from home. We should know something this morning. Sent our final counter offer yesterday to pull out a few extra items for the girls' apartment. Got a text late last night from my agent saying they were signing everything including the exhibit. Hi there. :-) Michele ~ Enjoy that shower! Debra ~ I don't have a lot of wax blobs around. Only occasionally by my Presto Pot when I make my own tarts. Back home and again waiting on these people. They have proven to be, let's say, "difficult". And so is their agent. So much so that our agent went to his broker, and won't deal with him alone at all (also plans to file a complaint when and if this is all said and done). They are clearly not interested in a fair deal whatsoever. They want to steal our house with everything in it. We'll see. In the midst of this, DD#1 just broke up with her boyfriend and is heartbroken. I haven't even changed out my melters. Whatever was in when I left last week is what's going now.

Debra -Yep, you and me both! I do believe we are getting closer. We're working with our lowball offer to bring it up and all these new showings are helping with that! We're just about in the place where we can meet in the middle, but we have another showing at 9:15 this morning (after having two yesterday). I have a 5:50 am flight home, so will be there to get ready for this one. Gotta board...

Yesterday was his birthday and we had a nice day amidst the house stress. We did get the offer Friday afternoon after a long wait, but it was a low ball. We countered and are waiting to hear back, but also have another showing Monday. Crazy! Hello Girls! :) I've missed you all! I've been so busy since Thanksgiving. My mission with DH home was to get our 2 large storage rooms cleaned out and that we did! I also did a few more Feng Shui things with the house and by Sunday night, all looked beautiful. We sent a very strong message to the universe that we are ready to go!! Amazingly, I got a text from my agent at 6:45 am the very next morning that we had a showing at 11:30. Later in the afternoon, another text for a showing Tuesday at 3:30. Heard back shortly thereafter that these people were very interested (specific questions about well depth and such). A couple hours later as I am FaceTiming with DH, the agent says we have ANOTHER showing with a different agent Wednesday morning, quickly followed by a text saying we have an offer coming from the Tuesday showing. Ron and I are floored! Then, just as I am about to leave the house for yesterday's showing, she texts me to say we have one at 12:30. I was confused, thinking maybe the 10:15 got pushed back, but nope, it was a totally new showing. Four showings in three days, during the week no less, and in what tends to be the slowest market of the year?! I had a 2:45 flight to Arizona, so it was going to be tight. Turns out the 12:30 had a time constraint and had to cancel last minute. Maybe they'll show up today. But seems we don't need them. Our agent has been keeping us posted and looks like the offer is in the works with the Tuesday people from California. They are aware of all of the interest and don't want to get into a multiple offer situation (feedback from the Monday people makes us a strong consideration, and yesterday's looked good, too), they want a 30 day close, and want some furniture, so we are hoping for a good offer. So...last I heard late last night was they were headed back to their hotel in Sacramento to sign the offer. And now we are on pins and needles. At this point, all prayers and good thoughts welcome!! I'm melting ST The Office ~ some kind of coffee blend and really yummy. Michele ~ Sorry you're missing your DH. I know that feeling all too well. The ST site is a bit wonky. I'm excited to get my Advent calendar today that was delivered to the apartment office the other day. And I haven't forgotten about getting some Blank Label samples to you. If you saw the tiny tree I put up, you would laugh. It is the top part only of a smaller tree we used in the apartment while we were building our current home years ago.
