Jules - I'm just glad it still had scent. Sometimes, candles get shoved to the back of the closet and "lost" for ages. :) I'm jealous of you all who are finding autumn waxies at Walmart. I have checked several, and struck out at each one. I'm melting Apple Noel from CFTKR in the living room, and Pumpkin Crunch Cake from Kim's Tart Candles in the kitchen. Starting to smell good in here!

Tonight I'm burning a large oval two-wick candle from Colonial Candle. The scent is Winter Pine, and it really does smell like the forest! I had stashed this candle away in a closet for about 18 months, completely forgetting about it. When I found it, the fragrance was just as strong as the day that I bought it! I love shopping in the stash!

Tonight we're making homemade pizza. Tomorrow night I'm doing a spicy chicken alfredo pasta dish with garlic knots.

No melts yesterday - we were in and out of the house all day long, so I never got the melters changed over. Today I'm melting Pink Fruity Loops from Haley's Heavenly Scents. One of my favorites, and it never fails to please me! I'm also trying to finish one of my candles that was left over from LAST summer - Slatkin's Island Colada. Yummy!

Trep- the employees at my closest Walmart are like that, too! I think that they randomly stock products wherever they have an empty spot. This spring, they put the new fruity BH&G jar candles on an end cap in the AUTOMOTIVE section. This was weeks before the other springtime waxies started showing up. So random!

Hey everyone! Life has calmed down a bit, so I'm back! Last night's melt was Wildberry Cheesecake from BH&G. I also melted Winter Pine (mystery vendor) in my son's room. No melts yet for today. Burning a candle from BBW, Black Pepper Bergamot. I love it.

My earlier melt did die down, so I just cleaned out the warmer. Now melting: one cube of 'Cafe au Lait' by Scentsationals, and two cubes of 'Warm Vanilla Creme' from BH&G. Makes for a nice blend.

I'm starting out the day with 'Pumpkin Crunch Cake' from Kim's Tart Candles. This is such a delicious scent, but from previous experiences I know that it'll be strong for a few hours and then die down. Have a great day!

Good morning all! I'm melting "Pink Toasted Marshmallows" from Tara's. This was a gift from a swap buddy, and I love it. What a knock-out scent! Very strong, and true to scent. I've been melting it for three days straight, and it isn't done yet.

We're having a few slightly cooler days, so I'm in the mood for soup. I'm going to make a potato and corn chowder for tonight, with cheddar and bacon on top. Always a family favorite!

Today I'm melting 'Strawberry Noel' from a mystery vendor, and 'Strawberry Cheesecake' from CFTKR. Smells delicious!

Hi all! I'm burning a large MVP jar candle called "Lemon Pound Cake" and I have been melting "Berry Bewitching Brew" from Haley's Heavenly Scents. This tart has been going for three days, and I don't think it is anywhere close to done!

Nothing melting right now. We had a ton of smoke in the air from some fires that are burning north of us, and it is making everything smell off. Have a good night everyone!

Maggie, Sweet, Shortygal, and others: Thanks for all of the nice words regarding my latest sweater project. I'm about two inches into the lace part, past the yoke. No sleeves and no "body" yet. I'm hoping to have it done by fall - which sounds like a long time, but isn't. It's already summer here, and I can only stand to have that much wool on my lap for a short period of time. At that rate, what would take a month in the winter will actually take three or four months. Laurie: Nobody has seen "my" sweater yet - there's not enough to photograph. :) The link goes to the pattern designer's blog, and has pictures of that mine will (hopefully) look like when I'm done. Today I'm melting "Pine Noel" from Haley's Heavenly scents. Janet custom mixed Pine and VBN for me, and I really like it.

Hi all! I've been MIA for a bit, with just a few scattered posts, and I'm sorry. We had some internet connection issues, and then some family obligations came up and were taking up a lot of my time. I haven't been melting much, since I haven't been home for more than a few hours at a time. I've been able to keep up on reading using my phone's browser, but it is hard to post on such a small screen. It is finally looking like things are back to normal (more-or-less.) I'm melting Haley's "Gooey Temptations" in the living room, and it is very sweet and caramely. I'm spending the rest of my afternoon at home, working on a new sweater for next winter. (This pattern, done in a dark teal color. I haven't taken pictures of my work yet.) I hope everyone else has a nice relaxing afternoon!

Today I melted BH&G "Wildberry Cheesecake". Always a favorite!

I cooked a few chicken breasts in the crockpot with some broth and half of a packet of trader joe's taco seasoning. I'll shred it - some of us are having chicken-taco salads, others chicken and black bean burritos. Yum!

Yesterday, I melted Yankee's 'Beach Plum' throughout the house. Good scent, but not very strong. I can't remember when I bought these tarts, so maybe they are old? I don't know. No melts yet today, but I'll update later.

Today we're melting Haley's "Black Raspberry Vanilla" and "Ginger Peach." Summer is here, I'm afraid. We've had temps in the 80's all week, and it looks like it'll continue.

For the last few days, my allergies have been killing me. No melting. But I'm warming some eucalyptus essential oil - hoping that my sinuses open up. Laurie - I reach and grab two at a time, and then pick one of the two to melt. I can usually find something that 'smells right' out of the two.

Today I'm melting "Apple Corn Pudding" from CFTKR, and it smells GREAT!
