Hi Everyone!

 

I was looking for a good place to discuss candles and find better vendors than Yankee Candle and it seems like I found the right place!

 

I've only gotten into candle burning recently, but I enjoy to have one burning in the evening while I am home. It makes the apartment smell good and feel more homey. The few candles that I have are from Yankee Candle (Fresh Mint & Juicy Cherry), but I find them a bit too strong to burn for more than a few minutes. The one that I do like is Snow Currant from the Pottery Barn. It's a sandalwood, pomegranate, raspberry and vanilla blend and smells awesome without being overpowering.

 

I look forward to learning more about scents, vendors and candles.

I had a lovely brown tiger cat named Cinnamon when I had chosen "Cinnamonkitty" as my internet tag. Unfortunately, she passed away over a year ago, but I kept the name. My other cats' names just don't fit quite as well as user names. We currently have a long-haired black cat named Odin, a cream/black tiger named Lily and a calico fat cat named Pixie. Thankfully, all three leave my candles alone.

Welcome! Hope you find some great places to start your "smelly" collection. For some great earthy scents(sandalwoods-etc.) try Can Do Candles-she has a great one called Lessie's Prim Wishes-it would be right up your alley.

Yes, yes they do. I have one that thinks my computer chair is the best place for a nap, one that enjoys sitting on my keyboard and one that likes chasing mouse pointers across the screen. Between the three cats, they have all bases covered to prevent my computer use.
