Happy 4th of July! (not my personal favorite holiday, as the fireworks scare my pups something awful!) Today is Cedar, Sage & Blackberry by YOCC all through the house. May add some candles later on.

Can't believe it's JULY already! My month-long house guests have departed, and I'm trying to get back to business around here. I reorganized my stash and am determined to melt through some of my old stuff so I can get started on trying some exciting new stuff. In that spirit, I have pulled all my TDC tarts and gonna blast thru them in the bathrooms since I really didn't have much luck with throw anywhere else. I started with: Bergamot and Terragon by TDC that was the only one that even had a cold throw in the bag. I don't know what the problem was with these, admittedly I did buy most of them on clearance, but most were very faint or outright duds. In the rest of the house (6 warmers) I have Sea Blossom by CSFH. I have had pretty good luck with these, and she has an awesome deal right now with BOGO on some GIANT bundt tarts. Good Morning! to the Birthday Girls!! Been a crazy week so far with kids off from school on Spring Break . . . my husband went back to Mexacali after his 3 day *visit* so back to holding the fort myself. I planted some peppers and tomatoes over the weekend, and then yesterday morning was a hard freeze. ugh They are all dead - - boo Melting RainKissed by ScentSational (Walmonster) . . . it's got quite a punch! Not sure if this is supposed to be a dupe of the BBW scent, but it's very "springy" (unlike the weather here) Have a great day!

Good Morning and TGIF (and last day of school before spring break for us) I had 2 of my daughters in visiting from out of state, so I have been AWOL, but they are safely home now. :D Tonight my husband gets home for his 3 days out of month *visit* - every time he comes home it storms and I need help with yard work!! ugh ^_^ Anyway, re-running Linen Extreme by Front Porch this morning, will change it out later. Sun and Sand (sample) by Orchid Lake in my room was a dud - I don't even know how I got this since I never ordered anything from them! :huh: I hope you all have a wonderful weekend B)

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. It's chilly and windy here. It's also really quiet, all my kids are off someplace except one, so it's just me and Zack. (and his Xbox) lol Today I am melting Winter Garden, I think it's from Haleys Heavenly Scents. It was uber strong (almost eye watering) when I put it on this morning (it's going in 6 melters, I wanted to use up the whole bag) but I stuck it out, and it's mellowed nicely.

It's been dreary and rainy for 2 days now, and you know what that means . . . MY HOUSE SMELLS LIKE WET DOGS! lol Not really . . . thanks to some tarts from Cheryl's, I didn't like this vendor at first, but now that I've dug them out and giving them another go, they're pretty nice (we'll see how they last) Beach Walk Fusion Sea and in my room my Beach Front from Nene's is about dead after 2 days. I love this scent! It's really unusual. Does anyone know if she ever has sales? I haven't bought anything in so long, but I'd really like to have more of this before it goes away, I've never seen it anywhere else.

I'd like to know, too. I wanted to try the turquoise one, but they were out online so I figured the store would be too, and I didn't want to drive all the way to the mall since I have found a lot of YC tarts to be pretty dud-ish (is that a word? it is now)

It's dreary and windy here today - definitely a candle day! My son & I are watching the Walking Dead marathon, the season continues on tonight after a hiatus. In fact, I keep the TV on all night now that DH is not here and the zombies were walking all night! lol Candles for the day: Beach Garden by YC Beach Blue by YC Sandy Beach Aromabeads candle I picked up at Walmonster for $4 + change, it says "Hannas, Fayetville AK" on the bottom, so not sure really who makes it . . . it's actually throwing very nicely! Sand Dunes by ScentBeads - this one I picked up during a BOGO sale at the grocery store and in my bathroom, I have Angel Whispers by Glade (that's gla-day!) This morning is a re-run of yesterday's Red Currant & Thyme Tea by Can-Do I had a whole bag of this and put it all around the house - yesterday morning was hideous - fog and rain and more rain, so it seemed like a "tea" kind of day. It wasn't super strong, tho, I'm wondering if most of these oldies I'm using these days have lost their "umph!". I'll change things up when I get back from grocery shopping this morining

Good Morning! UGH to the alarm interruptions you guys have had going on! (but now I am wondering if I am the only one without a CM Monitor? Maybe I should look into that!) :huh: Last night around 11, I heard a huge "boom" that shook my bedroom door and all the dogs started barking. Got up to investigate, and couldn't figure out what happened, but noticed that some plastic chairs that were leaned up against the garage had fallen over (absolutely NOT the cause of the sound, as the garage is WAY away from the house) never did figure out what happened (anyone remember "sonic booms" from WAY back in the day?!) Still don't know what it was, but it was intense! I can relate to the missing DH syndrome (like last night when the boom went off, not that he would have heard it - lol) since my DH started working in Mexico, he's only home for 3 days every 4 weeks! I am definately holding down the fort and sometimes it makes me really nervous! :unsure: :( Today I am re-running yesterday afternoon's melts: Southern Comfort by LSC in 2 warmers (these are really old, I looked thru old threads and they are like end of 2010 beginning of 2011 old!), not a huge thrower, but a nice citrus-y smell Fresh Fruit by Sniff My Tarts (I think this was a RAOW cause I don't remember ever ordering from them - are they still around?) not a super throw there either Valencia Vanilla Verbena by Cheryl's (I remember not being overly impressed with my one and only order from there and threw them in the back of the cabinet - yep, I'm getting down to the rejects in some cases! lol) :blush: I think I need something fresh and strong once I get the kids off to school and morning errands done. Have a great day! [eta] from the Pensacola News Journal: We've gotten several calls about a loud boom that shook homes in the Milton area and in the Ten Mile Road area of Pensacola. We have confirmation from authorities that the noise and vibrations are due to training maneuvers being conducted from Eglin Air Force Base. There has been no report of an explosion or other incident in the area. mystery solved!

Good Monday morning to everyone (is that an oxymoron? lol) Survived a weekend of six 12 year olds camping out in my backyard, complete with bonfire and smores. My DH (who is home from Mexico for his 3 days out of 30) stayed up until 3:30am keeping the fire going for the boys! whew! I'm glad it's over but they had a blast-a party to remember. Over the weekend I melted Merlin's Forest by CFTKR (one of my DS faves, for his party) I just changed out to Midnight Embers by CFTKR (from a sweet CF friend) and Home For The Holidays (I think this is a last year's leftover) also by CFTKR Wishing everyone a wonderful week
