  1. You know, I have never thought to do that and it sounds like a beautiful idea!!! The person below me likes dip cones.
  2. Hello everyone, Ahhhhh I drove home early last night because we finished early. WFH today and it's so lovely to be in our own home. DH blood sugar is doing better and his business is picking up a bit - I'm sure the two are related because he is less anxious and not eating cinnamon rolls. Sharon, everything ok? Where have you been, if not home melting? *Details please* Mag, the cantaloupe sounds good! As for ordering too much.... It's a constant battle, isn't it? Make a dent... Fill it up....*ban*... Rinse, lather, repeat!! Michele, I know you are extra busy dealing with your dad's house and so much going on with the kids... I'm glad the melting brings you some pleasure in the midst of all of that! Susan, you always make steady progress through your melts! I'm glad that both you and your clients are doing well in what has been an upside-down year. Honeybear, I hope the house/moving plans are coming along and not causing too much stress. That's a lot to deal with. I hope you and your family are all holding up well. Well today it's: ST White Walkers - peppermint, spearmint, fresh mint, and VBN. I absolutely adore this scent but I think it may have faded a tad since last year in the clamshell. Hayden Rowe Strawberry Sky - such a beautiful fresh strawberry scent. Bunny Sisters Grape Soda - Oh. My. Goodness. This is so strong and juicy, just love it. I got it in a sample a couple of months ago and liked it so much that I bought more of it, hard as that may be to imagine. I didn't think I liked grape but I was wrong about that. It's thundering and crashing about outside, which I totally enjoy, but Clemmie is hiding under the bed. Take care all!
  3. (I'm sorry about that bad experience on the water slide, yikes!!) On domestic flights, never - steerage. For international work flights, we have been allowed to fly business class, and I have sometimes - but not always if the cost was just ridiculous. The best part was being able to lie all the way down. When I retire that will be a thing of the past. The person below me does not like using the weed whacker and leaves that to the menfolk.
  4. Hello everyone, DH has been struggling a bit with his blood sugar this week. We are keeping an eye on his diet. I bought him a Rosegirls donut sampler for his shop in hopes of satisfying his craving for sweets. . He and both our mothers were long known as the Bakery Squad. Michele, this must have been a tough week going to your dad's house and I all sending you a big hug. Mag, I'm sorry about the peanut scent....... Especially when you were hoping for creamsicle! Good for you, to burn some candles...I have been neglecting mine... Kind of goes in cycles... Susan, hello!! I like that BHG lavender lemon. I hope you are doing well and that your client is having good health. Well today it's; RG Shark Bite - peach, mango, and strawberry, very nice and fruity. Southbound Cotton Candy Creamsicle - beautiful (Mag, you put that in my mind, Lol) Have a good evening everyone!
  5. (You were the one who always could draw in school, weren't you?! How wonderful that must have been! I was the very worst in art... so pitiful... The teacher forbade me to use the kiln...I have a negative amount of ability...) My favorite subjects were math and music. The two are actually closely related but they also balance each other out and I need them both to this day. The person below me likes to slide down the tallest water slides.
  6. Good morning all!! "Mom Jeans" You are all cracking me up. Mag, your Honeysuckle candle sounds so beautiful and I love the smell of those bushes so much. Which vendor is that? Michele, I am also out of room, it's 50 lbs of potatoes in a 30 lb sack... Melt More, Melt Faster! LOLOL This morning it's VRC Berry Preserves, which is Blackberry Jam and Blueberry cobbler, very juicy and making me very hungry. And last night it was a new vendor I tried, since we are always chasing that original high: Wicked Wax (Etsy) - A Horse With No Name - cactus & sea salt and patchouli - nice! It could use perhaps some vanilla to soften it a bit, but I like and the throw is good. Have a great day everyone. I am ready for winter.
  7. Yes I would LOVE to keep bees. I have long admired people who do this. Also, bees are having a tough time of it with pesticides and over-mowing and I would love to help them out. Perhaps during retirement... If I ever get there. We shall see. The person below me has a set of good china that she loves.
  8. Well hello everybody! And Susan, everybody - I love you all too. The friendships we have here mean so much to me. Mag... You are too funny... I'm sorry I was MIA. This last week I've been sorting out some life decisions and while they are good ones, I've been, shall we say, a bit distracted?! More to come but feeling very positive. All of your melts sound so good, and with so much variety - Susan, I love CFOW and got a small order of the bubbles recently and had forgotten how many samples she includes!! Mag, I'm so eager to try my Empire Alchemy, really unique blends. And Michele, I'm glad some of the older SGA still throws, and I'm sorry for the ones that don't, grrrr! Today it's: TBG Sea of Tears - creamy floral, aquatic jasmine - beautiful but also light as this was from a destash last year and not sure how old it is. Have a great day everyone!
  9. (Yay on the ice cream maker!! That sounds delicious! My dad had one when I was little and I remember putting the salt in it... Then it made a grinding noise... Always tasted really good. What flavors have you made?) No I haven't planned anything for two years... But I am plotting. I want to do a garden again, but just a little one. As with everything else, I overdid my garden some years ago and it was madness trying to can everything. The person below me will take a road trip this summer.
  10. (I also adore poached eggs, especially on avocado toast. ) I can't say I really like to lie in the sun for very long, unless I've been swimming in the ocean and then yes, to warm up and to dry off, but then under a tree I go. I burn fairly easily, unfortunately, so this was never a great idea for me. The person below me has an ice cream maker.
  11. Hello all! Michele, lovely title! And yes, summer came in with a bang... It's hot again here in West Virginia and DH says it's hot back in Ohio as well. Mag, I love Strawberry and fresh cut grass together, ooooooh! Sharon, anything with plum gets my vote! Well tonight it's a gem: The Bunny Sisters Pistachio Ice Cream - it's Just. So. Extremely. Delicious. The ice cream makes it so smooth and creamy and rich... Once again I want to eat this wax but I will restrain myself. I love pistachio ice cream in real life... It seems that previously in vendor wax, I have gotten pistachio melts that were mixed with cherry, and that was not my favorite. But this ice cream blend is just extraordinary. It is *possible* that I have ordered a loaf in this scent. Have a good night all!!
  12. Hello dear everybody! It has indeed been heavenly to be home... Sleep a little choppy because this cat of mine insists on patting my face with her soft little paw during the night...pat, pat...but she is so sweet that I can't get upset about it. Awwww, Mag, I'm glad that at least you got to wave to the children! It's good they got to keep their crafts and at least got some closure to the year. Well done!! I didn't realize Ten Digit was going OOB too...ugh, a tough year for quite a few vendors. Michele, I hope you had a chance this week to see the water at the shore! Will you spend most of the summer over there? Well last night it was: Rosegirls Raspberry Sauce - ohhhhhh so tart and juicy and delicious! That was the end of the bag . And today it's gifts from a sweet CF pal - a new to me vendor and wow are these strong!! Rainbow Melts Rain & Sunshine - very fresh and a hint of lemon Rainbow Melts Strawberry Gain - I love this scent and pow! Throwing me out of the living room even with the windows open. There *could* be a New Customer Sampler coming on the 5th of June from this vendor... Not that I would be suggesting that we try that out, not at all. Happy Friday to all!
  13. (I'm so glad you have helped a snake...I actually think they are lovely. The Shadow in the Water is blackcurrant leaves and buds, and rose. To me I absolutely cannot pick out the rose, although I suppose there is a minor floral note.... it's all about those tart blackcurrants and their greenery. It has a strong bite to it. To me, just heavenly.) Hmmmm I love both. That's a tough choice. In Italy, I nearly lost my mind over those gelatos... but I do love chocolate mint ice cream also. The person below me likes to cook eggs in a variety of ways, but has a favorite.
  14. Greetings all, Very steamy here in SW Ohio and the rain continues on and off. We have had the annual onslaught of ants which come inside, so I have put out the little bait boxes (out of dog reach) and this is helping, but I have to put new ones every week. I also must admit to turning on the AC. Michele, your coffee scents sound delicious. I like Hazelnut in wax. Well since I'm home, I'm making some progress through some smaller bags. I added a couple of warmers in the office - not the threatened 25, just two - to help. So it's been Southbound: SB Lavender Vanilla Ice Cream - a pleasant scent but very light. SB Red, White and Blue- Strawberry, Blueberry and Birthday Cake - now that's more like it, lovely and throwing well. Have a good Thursday everyone!
  15. (I haven't smelled Alien but now am very curious about it! For me, I have fallen in love with Diptyque The Shadow in the Water, but I can't really wear it in the plant. ) Well, I think I have a pretty good understanding of Clem's vocabulary, but I'm not sure if she speaks Generic Cat or some special language of her own! I can tell the difference between her "I'm hungry" meow, which is more insistent, and her "Please hold me" meow, which is quiet and sweet, and her "Well hello, what are we doing next?" meow, which sounds more chatty. The person below me has held a snake.
  16. Hello everyone! I'm sorry I was MIA for a couple of days. While taking my walk on Sunday, I must have hit the right combination of buttons on my phone to completely reset the whole thing to factory settings. It's also my work phone so I managed to really tie myself in knots. But it's all straightened out now. Michele, I saw that Times article and am thrilled that your father was named. That is beautiful despite the terrible sadness of these times. And you melted VCS Grandma's Pearls, ohhhh I love that one so much. Mag it has been raining nonstop here as well and finally the sun came out today. I've heard wonderful things about Empire Alchemy and am eager to try it!! Susan, I'm so excited for you, to have finished your online classes! Were they at all enjoyable? Well done, congratulations! Your CFOW melts sound beautiful. Valerie, let us know what that GC mystery candle turns out to be! Well yesterday and today it was: Southbound Americana Smoothie - Pink sugar, orange sherbet and Lush American Cream - a perennial favorite which I've enjoyed for three summer in a row now. So creamy and gorgeous. Have a good evening, all.
  17. I do love storms....I love the thunder and lightning... They used to be tough because my sweet big dog Montgomery was so terrified of them that the whole time was spent holding him and singing to him. I miss him more than I can say, but I'm grateful every time there is a storm and he doesn't have to suffer through it anymore. Clemmie also is not a fan, but she doesn't tremble... She just dives into the closet and snuggles down into the laundry basket. When it's over, she comes out and eats like nothing has happened. So I don't fret so badly over her. I think a big storm clears the air and reduces the pressure and just calms people down... Plus they are beautiful to me in nature's way. The person below me has a favorite personal perfume, which is her signature scent.
  18. Good morning all! One call this morning and then I'm heading home. We finished early. Also, I can work from home next week so pretty happy about that! The first four hours of driving, I have no connectivity so it's quiet time. Mag, yes! The winds! Everywhere I've been lately, I'm blown around, both in the car and on foot. A strange year in so many ways. How are you liking Empire Alchemy? Michele, I am happy that you are headed to the beach! Oh that will be relaxing after all you've been through. Last night it was: The Bunny Sisters Berry Gain - wonderful with the berries taking the lead. Strong all night and still this morning in my hottest warmer. This is paraffin wax so no curing! Vintage Road Strawberry Rhubarb - so delicious - from the Strawberry Sampler with the darling realistic little strawberries. Have a beautiful day everyone!
  19. (I'm sorry about the long waits! And I'm with you...I abandoned my contacts about 8 years ago, just couldn't do it anymore... made my eyes tired and I'm already tired so enough already! Lol) New wax?! Um, well, hmmm, let's see... There could be a little, yes... Bunny Sisters... Kae's... Ava's... L3... VRC...There might be a little Rosegirls in there too... The person below me likes to sit and listen to the rain. (Not that the person below me gets to sit very much...)
  20. Well good morning all! And a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our Debra!! I hope you will have a glorious day my friend! Mag, I cannot believe you have been moving furniture down three flights of stairs... And with car breakdowns?!?! This sounds dreadful and I can only imagine how sore and tired you are!! I'm glad that is behind you! And yes, that happens to me when I can't remember what was in the melters when I return home after travel... Yes it smells good.... But what on earth is it?! The Blueberry Cobbler sounds like a beautiful choice! Michele, I'm glad the haircut was a success and I'm sorry your hair cutter is worried about her business. It's a tough time for so many people. Also this year's version of CFOW Carnival by the Sea is much stronger - I had heard that she increased her fragrance oils and this seems to be true to me. Sharon, you made a good choice with that short haircut, LOL! Glad you can get out to exercise. Your Darley Lama Carrie with the patchouli sounds lovely and mysterious. Well lovely as this is to visit with all of you, this isn't getting me on the road, so I am off. Have a lovely day and stay safe however that works by you. Hugs to all.
  21. Good morning all! Well, it has rained for 40 days and 40 nights, and warmed up, so the grass is growing before our eyes, and the wildflowers in the field are starting their color displays. I do love the changing of the seasons. Michele, I'm happy that you scored a haircut, lol. I'm not sure what to do with mine... Maybe we'll go for more of a Rapunzel look this year... Valerie, the dinner in the bird sanctuary sounds so beautiful, just so they don't fly over the table, lol! And I'm glad the car thieves were caught. Your land purchase sounds so exciting... New adventures. So this morning it's one I buy every year: CFOW Butterscotch Coke Float - oh this is so delicious - and it filled the house within minutes of hitting the warmer, no curing. I love her new little bubble shapes and they stay intact in the bag better than most of the breakaway bars do, at least for me. I rearranged all the wax again yesterday, back to by vendor. I had had it by scent family, but I was having trouble finding things. I think it's just an excuse to get it all out and play with it. There has been some upward creep in terms of quantity. I hope that everyone is safe and healthy and able to start enjoying the out of doors!
  22. No and I consider myself lucky.... I've been using the Pickup service at Walmart, because it is closest to our home... You schedule a time, they text you when it's ready, and you just pull up and they bring it out. I had actually started doing that before this virus hit because I hate grocery shopping. (Do you have to wait a long time by you?) The person below me uses eye drops.
  23. Thank you Valerie for the birthday wishes! And I'm so sorry your daughters car was stolen, ugh. Good luck on the property search... Sounds exciting but I know these things are always a little scary at the same time. Well this week is very busy at work so I fell into bed early last night. This morning it was: ST Jack Frost - herbal lavender, fresh mint leaf, and lemon curd. I love this so much - the lemon curd is just delicious and I would like to eat a lemon bar now. Have a great day all!
  24. (I didn't think about Halloween but I didn't wear a crown there either... And no HC Queen here either... guess we weren't the crown type, Mag, thank heaven! LOL) Yes I have chargers in every bag, and of every type, but I still can't find the thing half the time, or it is intertwined with my earplugs or caught in the hairbrush... It's hopeless but yes. I do have at least two! The person below me has been unable to purchase at least one grocery item at the time she wanted it during the quarantine.
