Sweet, awww thanks so much for the kind offer but my current cat has already done quite a number on my carpets as it is :D Burning B&BW Applewood Bonfire in the living room and Illume Mulled Wine in the bedroom. The Illume smells amazing, but the wick drowns easily and the wax cracks when it hardens and pulls away from the wick and sides :huh:

Soaked the black eyes peas and chopped veggies for the hoppin' john tomorrow. I'm changing up the recipe this year in hopes that 2014 turns out a little bit better than 2013 ;) A friend of mine is in the hospital with pleurisy, so I went to keep him company for a while today, poor guy! It's sad to be so sick on a holiday :( Burning B&BW Winter and a tin candle of Illume Mulled Wine that someone gave me for Christmas. Smells spicy and festive around here! Happy New Year, everyone!

biolaeagles, that's awesome! I was running regularly in the mornings but started slacking off when my kitty got sick in the fall so I have to get back on track. My plan is to go out early New Year's morning and start the year off right I am a boring old fuddy duddy who can't stay awake past 10pm :D so we usually watch movies or some of the Twilight Zone marathon and then off to bed Tonight burning B&BW Fresh Balsam in the living room and YC Jack Frost with a tiny chunk of Sparkling Vanilla added in the bedroom melter.

I had a YC Ginger Spice tart going earlier in the day. It always reminds me of my grandmother's bedroom when I was a kid Just switched to YC Vanilla Oak in the living room and using up the last of the Wylde Ivy Pumpkin Masquerade in the bedroom melter. Have a good evening!

debra, I'll be visiting my two brothers and SIL, and meeting my new nephew for the first time I hope he's feeling better now! Thanks, sweet! Burned the very last of my Glade Fall Hayride candle this afternoon, and just swapped it out for B&BW Winter. When the White Barn Winter started drowning its wicks again a few days ago, I poured off the melted wax into a leftover tart cup and it made a fabulous Winter-scented tart that lasted for a couple days in my bedroom warmer. Will definitely try that again if I get any more WB/B&BW duds!

sweet, it's a soft musky vanilla--very kittenish :) There is something a little bit sour about it--maybe the musk--and I guess that's what was reacting badly with the marshmallow. aria, that outfit is adorable! We need rain here in Nor Cal, too. They're saying it's the driest year ever so far in San Francisco since they started keeping track biolaeagles, hope it's just a 24 hour thing and doesn't spread! Oh no, debra! The mail carrier better be there bright and early today Sweet, Winter is the only one I've gotten so far that has a Slatkin counterpart, and I haven't noticed a difference in the scents. The only reason I got the WB version at all is because I liked the label on last year's Slatkin so much, I didn't want to use it up too fast and this year's isn't as nice :D MaggieMae, you might be onto something! I think the only other WB I have is a Cranberry Woods. The last one I had did ok, but will definitely keep an eye on the current one. Starting the day with Sweet Fixations Lemon Noel. Happy Friday, all! Burning B&BW Winter this evening. It's the White Barn version and right at the halfway point, so though it has been burning very well until now, tonight the flames are struggling and the wax has turned a yucky brownish color. I didn't have this problem with the other version, so we'll see. I'm tempted to return it, but who wants to brave the mall right now if you don't have to? On the bright side, Fresh Balsam in the bedroom is burning wonderfully and smells lovely. Good pair with Winter!

DC, it hasn't been very strong at all for me. I tried it in my tea light warmer the first time and only smelled a bit of sweet marshmallow, but last night I had it in my 17 watt warmer and definitely got more of the toasted note with an ok-but-not-great throw. (And I'm not a fan of nose-hair singing strength, especially in my small apartment, so if I think it's light, it's pretty light :D) Tonight burning Diptyque Pomander, a mini candle I got in a holiday set ages ago. I liked the others in the set better and they are long gone, but want to use this up. B&BW Fresh Balsam is going in the bedroom.

Sweet, the 3-wick spring test scents are out and they're all priced at $22.50. I think one of the YouTubers said the new sale prices will be 2 for $25. Hate that! I can't understand why B&BW quality is so inconsistent, even if different suppliers are making the candles. I've had to "cotton ball" a few of them lately when the wicks started drowning after the halfway point. Hope they improve the quality now that the prices are going up <_< I woke up with some congestion this morning, so decided to try my new B&BW (speaking of ;) ) Twisted Peppermint. I was afraid it would be too strong, but it turned out to be a pleasant, buttery mint. Switched over to Pumpkin Carving a little while ago.

Ugh! The husband of the family that used to live next door to me smoked occasionally and I used to be able to smell it when the heater went on.
