  1. Why? Here are a couple of reasons. In honor of Karen (Jesuschick) reaching her 300th post. Laurie (Nautilique) had a great idea a while back about a RAOW swap (Random Acts of Wax). Clearly, we're long overdue for a group swap. This swap will be a little different than the original RAOW, but Laurie, your idea is the inspiration and I hope you will like this swap. So, Candlefind buddies, let's have a SWAP! Here's how our Melt it Forward swap will work: This swap is NOT a time to get rid of melts you don't like. Those kind of round robin swaps are fun too, but that's not what this swap is all about. This swap is about gifting melts from your own stash that you think the recipient will like. Here's your chance to share those favorite fragrance finds so your swap buddy can get hooked on them too. Each swapper will have one person's name that they can customize their gift package for. We'll use a medium Flat Rate USPS box, or the equivalent sized package, so the maximum shipping expense would be $11.35. Ship however you like, just keep that general medium box size. There will be a shipping deadline announced so that we all ship packages out at around the same time. This will ensure a quicker swap to avoid the hot summer months. I'll open another thread for swappers to list very general scent preferences to give your Melt it Forward buddy an idea of what you might like. Email me at Julia@Candlefind.com with your Name and shipping address. I will use random draw to select who ships to whom. The person who ships to you will most likely be different than the person whom you ship to. This is all about Melting it Forward, building friendships, and sharing our favorite hobby. To participate, email me before Friday, May 18. I will do the random draw on May 19.
  2. You're almost at 300 posts, Karen. I think we should have a spring Round Robin swap to celebrate your access to the swap section. See you there.
  3. That's a good scent for the supermoon tonight. This morning I put on Creamsicle by Country Kisses and, hooray, I can smell it. My sniffer is starting to work again.
  4. Any opinions? Recommendations? The blackberry Cotton Candy soap caught my eye, but it's sold out. How are the scrubs and bar soaps?
  5. I find the melts to be medium strength, usually not super strong. I prefer her fruity and floral scents. I love bakery, but haven't had as much luck with CD's bakery blends. As you know, the B&B products are amazing. I did find a new favorite melt scent called Wehi Lani. It's a blend of cranberry, mulberry and strawberry. Awesomeness.
  6. Beautiful order. Thai Coconut. I love summertime scents. How is the texture of the cream soaps? Is it a whipped cream consistency or a more dense, scoopable type?
  7. Thanks. The Pina Colada smells like summer in a jar.
  8. How'd I miss this thread? Cabana Boy sounds good...and so does the scent. Ba-dum-POW.
  9. Thanks buddies. Everyone's scent sound so good today. Waaaaa.
  10. I felt a cold coming on yesterday and today I can't smell a thing. Stuffy head, soar throat, headache. So bummed that I can't smell anything. All I can do is burn this big ol' Creme Brulee pillar candle I got from Sears years ago. Hey, I can't smell the wax, but at least I can play in it. Congratulations, Mala, on your first melting day.
  11. Aria. Time to light 'em up! Operation burn off the candle stash is a go. Tonight's mix: Spotted Hog - Vanilla Cake Colonial - Sandcastle Shayz - Coconut Shayz - Mango Mandarin (mmmgood)
  12. Candledippers - Lemon Verbena cream soap and Cocoapink Blackberry Sugar scrub
  13. Nothing wrong with that. Last night was courtesy of Hormel entrees. Tonight's a different story. DH ran an errand down near the beach today and brought home some fresh Gulf shrimp. What a treat. Mpfand, your dinner sounds good too. I'm getting hungry.
  14. Love Basmati rice, Maggie. Would you mind sharing your Coconut Curry Chicken recipe? I bought coconut milk but don't have a recipe for it.
  15. I MAY need more. This morning I'm melting Tara's Candle Cottage - Toasted Pink Marshmallows and burning a little Voluspa poured votive candle - Linden Blond Tabac. (smells green and fresh)
  16. Hi Mala. Welcome to the group.
  17. Love this month's title. Thanks Lonegirl. This morning I'm melting Tara's Candle Cottage - Sweet Corn Pudding and Vermont Maple Syrup. Also, Ten Digit Creations - Butterscotch Creme Brulee Happy May!
  18. My Candledippers order arrived so I snapped a few pictures. Here is the whole shebang. I got 10 melts, two scrubs, and a cream soap. Notice the little box filled with three free sample melts. A closer look at the scrubs. Pina Colada and Toasted Marshmallow. These were still warm from the mail truck. I put them in the fridge for a cool-down. Here is the cream soap scented in Honey I Washed the Kids. mmm Tha-tha-that's all folks.
  19. I've been burning candles like crazy this weekend, to make room for my BBW order. Currently burning: SH Piggy Munch Slatkin - Pink Sangria (LOVE) Slatkin - Jungle Kiss Slatkin - Marshmallow Fireside Morenci - Kiss Me Candles by Victoria - Midnight in Macon
  20. I'm making a marinade for tonight's Chicken Tikka Masala. The best part is cutting the fresh ginger. Man, fresh ginger smells GOOD.
  21. I'm so sorry Michele. That is such sad news. Honeybear, get well wished for your mom.
  22. CFTKR - Sugar Cookie Zucchini Bread Tara's - Sugar Corn Pudding and Vermont Maple
  23. Mornin' Melting: LOL - Candy Apple Cupcake Candleberry - Vanilla Crumb Cake Burning: Buggytown - Sweet Strawberry LOL - Pink LIme
