First impression of Cranberry Apple:
Cranberry Apple is a new scent from Madison Valley and smelled like a perfect holiday scent on cold sniff. The moment I popped off the lid, a spicy apple/berry wafted all around my nose and Mmmm!! It smelled so warm and cozy!

Tangy cranberry and juicy red apples combined with just the right amount of sugared cinnamon spice. Perfect all year around!
I wasn’t smelling a whole lot of tangy cranberry at first but if that makes its presence known once the wicks were lit, bring it on!! Most cranberry apple scents I’ve tried in the past have been sweet and fresh with no spice, so Madison Valley’s version intrigued me. I was loving the added spiciness of this candle. It made it very cozy and a perfect scent to burn on a cold winter day.
I’m happy so far. Now let’s see how this candle performs!
I lit my Cranberry Apple candle in my master bedroom to start out and that’s where it stayed till the last drop of wax. This candle easily held its own in a large room and that put a smile on my face. The aroma… it changed on me, just as I hoped it would. When I first lit the wicks, the aroma immediately permeated all around the candle. A good hour in and the fragrance was everywhere – my entire bedroom, open bathroom and the aroma was even spilling outside into my great room. LOVED the strength! Just sniffing the air, I smelled tart cranberries the most with the apple a slight note in the background. Up close to the candle, the cinnamon spice was strong. Away from the candle, it was subtle with a hint of spice floating in the air. It was like two different fragrances at the same time. Far away, tart cranberries and sugar with a touch of spice. Up close, a spicy cinnamon cranberry. 😊 I also agree this scent is perfect to enjoy any time of the year. I could breathe this candle in all year long.
Strength – I would rate Cranberry Apple a 9 out of 10 in a really large room. 10 in medium to smaller rooms. Great scent throw!
How did my Cranberry Apple candle burn?
This candle burned perfect. No wick issues. Clean burning from beginning to end. I just had to stay on top of wick trimming before each lighting, which is pretty common with most brands.
Closing to my review:
I thoroughly enjoyed Cranberry Apple, although the apple in this fragrance was minimal, which surprised me. At least to my nose anyway. Cranberry and cinnamon definitely dominated overall and you know what? I loved it just as it was. It was a perfect combination of tart berry and
cinnamon. One moment, I smelled cranberries and the next berries and spice. I loved it! Definitely give Cranberry Apple a try next time you shop with Madison Valley.
