Review Service Basics
Our standard reviews will always remain free. However, due to time constraints and the increasing costs associated with review production & design, we have had to make some changes and limits to our free review service.

If we have never reviewed your products before, our free review will be a Shining The Light
feature.

Repeat Review

If we have previously reviewed your products, additional free reviews are available as single product

Candle
Collections
We are able to review more than one product at a time as a part of our Collections series. Please note this is a premium service.
No Prior Candlefind Review
If we have never reviewed your products before, our free review will be a Shining The Light feature. This type of review is an overview of your company, what you offer, as well as a brief review of a handful of your products. This is a great way for consumers to get to know the face behind the candles!

Repeat Review Requests
If we have previously reviewed your products, additional free reviews are available as single product reviews only. This is an in-depth review of a single product, focusing on things such as packaging/presentation, scent profile, throw, and burn performance.

Candle Collections
If you want 3 or more products featured in the same review, we offer a Candle Collections review as a premium feature. Examples of this type of review would be for your holiday collection, new spring scents, floral line, and more. Also consider this type of review if you have a new product launch or you are rebranding.

Premium Services
We offer a number of different upgrades to enhance our basic review service. Select the premium services that make the most sense for your company. Contact us for additional details, if needed.

Expedited Reviews:
We are able to expedite the posting of your review for a small fee. We charge a $25 fee per week to push up the posting of your review. For example, if the posted turn-around-time is 6 weeks, there would be a $25 fee to have the review post in 5 weeks instead. For the same review to post in 4 weeks, there would be a $50 fee, and so on. This fee must be paid at the time product is sent and is non-refundable.

Social Media Promotion:
Our basic review service includes a post on our website and one post on our Facebook page. We may choose to promote the review again, but this is not a part of our basic review service package. If you would like additional promotion on any of our social media pages, please contact us for availability and pricing.

Candle Collections:
This is a premium review service. See above for details.

Sponsored Posts:
We do offer Sponsored posts in a select few circumstances. Our rates start at $100 and are dependent on a number of different factors. If you’re interested in this type of post, please contact us to find out about availability.

FAQ

Who can request a review?
Anyone who makes scented candles, wax melts, or other home fragrance products can request a review. If your company is based outside the United States, we will consider your review request only if you ship internationally or your products can be purchased in the United States.

Do you review any other products?
We review any products that would be considered related to the home fragrance industry. We do review unscented products and candle/wax melt accessories as well. We do not currently review scented bath & body products.

I am involved in direct sales. How can I get a review?
We do not perform solicited reviews for direct sales products. We sometimes review these products independently, but we do not tie those reviews in to a specific representative. If you are a sales representative for one of these companies, you can request a sponsored post review. There will be a link to your sales page within the sponsored post.

How much does a review cost?
Most of our reviews are free of charge. The only cost to you would be the cost of product sent, including shipping. We do offer some fee-based reviews and upgrades. Please contact us if interested.

Why does it take so long to get a review posted?
At Candlefind, we believe in thoroughly testing your product from start to finish. We also spend time researching your site, reading any submitted product materials, and shooting our own photos. After all this is done, we then sit down to design your review. As we all have outside jobs, these efforts take time in order to create reviews that are up to our high standards. If you are in need of a faster turn-around-time, please ask about our expedited service.

How many products am I able to send for review?
If you have never had a Candlefind review before, you may send a maximum of 4 products for a Shining The Light review. Please note, this type of review also requires a minimum of 2 products. If we have reviewed your products before, you may send one product per single review. If you send multiple products, they will still be handled as single reviews unless you purchase our candle collections package.

I’m in a rush! Can you post my review next week?
Note that our review turn around time begins the moment your product arrives at our office in good condition. We are able to expedite any review for a fee of $25 per week. A single, standard review posts in 5 weeks. In order to have this type of review post in 1 week instead, the fee would be $100 ($25 x 4 weeks). Please contact us before attempting to expedite any review to make sure we have scheduling availability.

What if you don’t like my products? Will you post a negative review?
If there is a problem or issue with your product(s), we will reach out to you first to explain what the problem is. If there is an easy fix, we will try to employ that in our additional testing. If it is necessary to replace a product, we will pause our testing timeline to await arrival of the replacement.
If the review is going to be very unfavorable, we will allow you the opportunity respond and determine how we should proceed. If you opt to not have your review posted, we will honor that request and remove the review off our books. Please note, any associated fees that have already been paid are non-refundable.

Am I able to see my review before it posts?
We do not allow previews of our reviews before they go live. However, if we have any questions or need clarification before your review posts, we will reach out to you for further information. If it appears the review may be unfavorable, we will reach out to you to decide on next steps.

Am I able to use your photos of our products?
Sure! We love to see our photos on company websites and/or social media pages. Just please be sure to give us credit for our own photos.

Do you use do-follow links?
The company links that are provided in our free reviews are all no-follow links. This is due to our interpretation of Google’s outlook on product reviews. We’re sorry, but we do not make any exceptions to this for the health of our website. If do-follow links are important to your company, please request a sponsored post.

Please note: We take all review requests on a first-come, first-served basis. In order to make sure we give dedicated time and attention to each and every review, we work with a limited number of active requests at any given time. This means you may need to be waitlisted for a short period of time while we wrap up prior commitments.
