The Evoke Candle Co. Summer Tour of candles includes a fabulous lineup, including Heavy Metal, Flower Power, Disco Fever, and this British Invasion candle. They all have their own fun vibe to them, and this one was no exception. The candle was a tea-based fragrance, which seemed fitting. I don’t drink tea (coffee for me, please), but I love tea scented candles and wax melts. I was thrilled to try this blend out!

Packaging/Presentation
There is an instant giftable quality to all the Evoke Candle Company candles, including this British Invasion candle. It was in a decorative blue-green box with some amazing artwork on the box. Aside from the company and scent names, there was an artistic representation of a guitar. It was all very well done and ‘electric.’
The candle included inside was wrapped carefully in colored tissue paper. The vessel was that gorgeous blue-green color with the wax inside the exact same color. Beautiful!
The candle was 13.5 ounces in size and was made of a coconut wax blend. The wick was fairly thick (no lead!) and well-centered. The vessel was heavy in the hand and of obvious good quality. As mentioned earlier, the label art mirrored that of the box and could be easily removed if desired.
Authenticity
On cold sniff, I got a whiff of a citrusy tea smell. There was a little bit of earthiness to the sceent on cold sniff. Looking at the scent description:

I decided to burn this candle in a guest bedroom, which was a medium sized room. The candle did not have to melt all the way across before I started noticing the scent wafting through the room. I could get the distinct smell of a cup of freshly brewed tea, a little earthy and with the zing of some citrus notes. There was a bit of green sweetness that came out as the candle burned longer. I’m going to assume that was the cucumber notes kicking in. It blended in well with the stronger tea notes and made for such a remarkable blend. I found the entire scent relaxing and soothing…just like sitting down with a hot cup of tea!
Scent Strength & Scent Throw
This particular candle did really well in the room I had it in. Every time I walked into the bedroom, I could tell I had this candle burning. The scent was moderately strong and quite distinct (mostly the tea notes). As far as the actual throw, I smelled this British Invasion candle all in the bedroom and on just a little past the doors.
Burn Performance
This was another clean-burning candle from Evoke Candle Company. I got a full wax melt pool in about an hour – nice and even. The melt pool was beautiful! It was that deep, blue-green color and it was simply mesmerizing. The flame stayed fairly large but manageable. I did need to make sure to keep this wick trimmed fairly short in between burns.
My candle vessel was clean throughout the burn – I never had any black sooty buildup on the sides, which is always a good sign. The slow burn of this candle was another bonus, meaning I got to enjoy it for a super long time.
Conclusion
The British Invasion candle turned out to be one of my favorites from Evoke. Even though I don’t drink tea, but I find the scent enjoyable…especially freshly brewed tea. This particular candle gave me that scent and more. The added cucumber in the mix made the scent even more interesting and relaxing. The scent strength and throw on this one makes it perfect for small and medium sized rooms.
