The Summer Tour for Evoke Candle Co. is full on, and we’ve already reviewed their Heavy Metal Candle on this website. Next up is one of the cutest in the newest collection, their Flower Power candle. It is absolutely gorgeous and has a groovy vibe to it. While I enjoyed the beer scented candle, flower scented candles are more my normal cup of tea, so I was anxious to see how this one would fare.

Packaging/Presentation
The Flower Power candle was a joy to handle from the very beginning. It was in a bright green gift box that had the company name and scent name clearly displayed on the front. There were no other markings or adornments on this box.
My candle was nestled inside and wrapped with some colored tissue paper. The candle vessel was green, similar in color to the box. The label was TO DIE for! It had that groovy, flower power vibe to it with a burst of colors that gave me instant joy. The label was a sticker on the vessel and would be easy to remove, if that’s what you wanted. However, the label was a large part of the fun for me for this candle.
The Flower Power candle was 13.5 ounces, a coconut blend wax. These vessels are keepsake items and I can see this one’s having a future at my makeup desk. There was a thick wick that was fairly well centered in a sea of creamy white wax.
Authenticity
I’m late to the party, but I am definitely a floral loving fan these days. I especially like white florals, like jasmine, as they tend to be strong and heady. On cold sniff with this candle, I did get those sweet, white floral notes, but they were gentle and soft. Almost powdery-like. It was beautiful! I did look for the scent description and found:
Put some flowers in your hair, turn on some good vibes and let Flower Power take you back to late 60’s. Groovy, Man!
Once I started burning this candle I started to get the full appreciation of this scent. Sometimes jasmine can have a “dirty” kind of smell to it, so I am cautious whenever I’m trying a jasmine scented candle. This Flower Power candle was anything but, though. There was a sweetness to this floral that was breathtakingly real. There was some headiness to this scent, but it was not overpowering or too much. I still got some of those powdery kind of notes that softened the scent and made it just lovely. No green notes here…just floral petals and that was a-ok with me.
Scent Strength & Scent Throw
I did burn this candle in a medium sized bedroom, trying to be mindful of both the candle size and my white floral expectations. Every time I came back into this room, I was greeted with the beautiful floral notes coming from this candle. It was fabulous! I could smell the candle all throughout the bedroom and into the adjacent bathroom. It was a lighter type of scent, but it traveled well. It was a great scent strength/scent throw combo, because sometimes white florals can trigger my migraines if they are too overpowering.
Burn Performance
I was able to get a fairly full wax melt pool with this candle, nice and even. I had just a small bit of wax on one candle wall, but even that melted as the candle burned down about halfway through. What I loved most was the low-maintenance wick. I trimmed it once before burning and then in between 3 and 4 hour burning sessions. I never had a reason to stop mid-burn and fiddle with the wick. Such a pleasant relief!
This candle had a super slow burn, too. I was burning it for 3 and 4 hours at a time and it took about 10 burn sessions before I even got halfway through! I think that places it right in alignment with the stated burn time, so bonus points for that.
Conclusion
I absolutely loved this Flower Power candle from Evoke Candle Company, and I think it’s probably one of my favorites from here. The scent is soooo incredibly realistic and is beautiful without being overpowering. I think this candle would work well in small and medium sized rooms. If you have a large, open room, it would probably be best to use two of these at a time.
I have yet to be disappointed in a candle from Evoke Candle Company. They make such high quality, luxurious candles that are very affordable…it’s been fun to try them all! We still have British Invasion and Disco Fever to chime in on, so stay tuned.
