It’s been a minute since we’ve posted any reviews of Kringle Candle products. They have some fantastic scents that we love, including Spa Day and Lemon Rind. They had some tremendous sales just before the height of the pandemic and I managed to get several items, including this Blushberry Frosé wax melt. The scent caught me first by name and then by heart once I noticed it was pink! I love Kringle Candle products – there are some fantastic scents that they carry and the customer service has always been top notch. I was excited to try this new-to-me scent.
Blushberry Frosé, Kringle Candle
The clamshells from Kringle Candle Company are the typical rectangular-shaped packages. It was really hard to tell exactly was in the photo of the Blushberry Frosé wax melt – it looked like some type of frozen drink, pink in color, with a spoon and some pink & white straws also in view. The company and scent names were clearly displayed on the front label. This particular scent was in their Country Candle line. The wax melt was a pretty pastel pink color. Overall, it set the mood that this was going to be a fun, girly scent.
The cold sniff was fruity and sweet – similar to how expected. It had a pretty good cold sniff and was fairly strong cold, so I was hopeful on this one. Looking at the scent description:
Blushberry Frosé is a sweet and icy scent that’s good enough to drink! Sparkling pink grapefruit and golden pineapple is blended with a blushberry and currant accord, offset by soft woody notes, anise and basil for an unexpected twist.
I used 2 cubes of this wax melt in a 20W hotplate melter in a large, open living area. It started melting right away and I was getting scent right away – sweet and fruity and YUM! It was incredibly beautiful and hard to describe. The citrus fruitiness was there…I wasn’t quite sure that I could say specifically pink grapefruit, but there was a sweet/tart kind of smell to this Blushberry Frosé wax melt. The scent was like a mix of zesty, juicy pineapple and some tangy notes, which must have been the grapefruit. The sweetness was a natural, fruity type of sweet – not cloying, not sugary or bakery sweet. There was a bit more to this scent, though. A depth and warmth to it as it continued to melt. Woody? I’m not so sure about that, but I did detect herbal, leafy notes. It really helped round out this scent, keeping it from being ‘just another fruity scent.’ The sweet fruitiness was definitely the most prominent, but the added depth and warmth of this fragrance made it even more inviting to me.
Scent Strength & Scent Throw
My Blushberry Frosé wax melt was sooooo strong. It was amazing! I could smell it in the living area and on throughout the lower level of the house. The scent itself was really strong – not enough to run me out of a room, but enough to make me know it was melting and to make its presence known.
I was able to get a lot of use out of my Blushberry Frosé wax melts. The two cubes that I had going lasted non-stop for 6-7 hours. It still had scent left, but it had just started to fade enough for me to want to change it out. I used 1 cube in a wall plugin melter and it completely filled a smaller room without difficulty for a couple of days. This one little package could scent up my space for days on end, making this an excellent value.
I was super impressed with the Blushberry Frosé wax melts. They would work well in a medium to large space without a problem. It’s a fruity, sweet type of scent that does have some additional warm, herbal notes to round it out. I don’t see this offered on the website right now in wax melt form, but the candle is fantastic…it even makes the list for one of the best scents for Valentine’s Day. It’s just a beautiful scent from start to finish. A new favorite around here at Candlefind and an Editor’s Choice!
