Intro To My Wax Melt Review
Looking for strong wax melts? You’ve come to the right place. I’ve been a fan of Dessa’s Homespun Scents from the very beginning. She has always made high-quality products and some of the most ah-mazing scent blends you can imagine. I look to her company often when recommended strong wax melts, as there are many of hers that fall into that category. I’ve been out of touch with Dessa since her company has gone to an open/close model, so I was thrilled to get some of her newest wax melts to try.
First Impressions of My Wax Melt
This wax melt was in one of Dessa’s oval tart cups. These are a full 2oz of wax and she doesn’t skimp on that at all. Once I lifted the lid, I was in love. This. Smelled. Amazing! It was a delicious waffle cone scent and I declare I smelled some caramel-y notes. It had that freshly baked kind of smell to it. It was super strong on cold sniff and super good.
I love that Dessa keeps the site open with scent descriptions still available to peruse even when she’s not open – especially since she has so many house blends. I don’t know about you, but I love drooling over a scent list and fantasizing about my next order. So much fun! As far as this scent description…

Mmmmmm – yes! I didn’t read anything about caramel, but I definitely smelled it in there on cold sniff.
I decided to melt this one in my master bedroom with a 24W bulb melter. I actually had work to do out in the living room and forgot I had even put this one on…until I started smelling it. Oh…my…goodness! It was soooo incredibly delicious! It was warm, slightly sweet, and oh-so-creamy. I wanted to grab a spoon!
How Did My Wax Melt Perform?
I could smell this strong wax melt all throughout the home. It was amazing how well this scent wafted throughout the air! It lasted a super long time, too. I had it going for several hours before I turned off the melter. Then I kept using it for several days in a row…never missing a beat! I know some people who cut these wax melts in half, but I used the whole cup. Perfection!
Closing To My Review
This was by far one of the strongest wax melts I’ve used in a long time. It reminded me of Pumpkin Pecan Waffles from Bath & Body 
Works. Only this scent was more creamy and smooth, slightly more sweet. If you’re looking for a strong wax melt, this one is a winner. You have to be a bakery fan because this is a heavy one. It makes our coveted Editor’s Choice cut, that’s for sure. I can’t wait to try my other melts from Dessa’s, so stay tuned!
