Intro To My Soy Wax Melt Review
It’s that time of year for me to start thinking about what holiday wax melts I’ll be using in my home for an annual Christmas bash. I’m always on the search for scents that will be perfect for the occasion without offending scent-sensitive guests. With that in mind, I was more than excited to see that Shortie’s Candle Company offered the Mistletoe Moments scent in their 100% phthalate and paraffin-free new soy wax melts.
First Impressions of My Soy Wax Melt
Mistletoe Moments came in the fallen leaf clamshell packaging that’s the norm for these new soy wax melts. No difference there. The picture on the outside reflected the ever cute mistletoe plant, hovering just above. 😉
I was sold on the cold sniff. It was fresh and green and smelled soooo incredibly realistic! This smelled like fresh pine needles to me with just a little bit of earthiness – wow! Looking for the scent description:

I couldn’t quite get the berries out of the cold sniff, but I figured that might come with warming the wax. In any case, I was off to a good start!
How Did My Soy Wax Melt Perform?
I used one piece in a 24W bulb melter in my large, open living space. I wanted to test this out to see how it might fare during a holiday gathering. The scent didn’t take long to start filling the air with merry goodness. It smelled so fresh and pine-y…it made the house feel inviting and festive! I still wasn’t getting any berry-like notes, but it was still a good scent.
The scent was fairly strong but not run-you-out-the-house strong, which was perfect for what I was looking for. The scent traveled well throughout the house – it filled the open living area and wafted on down the halls. I could tell I had this scent melting throughout most of the house. It lasted for hours before I decided to change out for something else. That was par for course with my other Shortie’s soy wax melts I’ve tried.
Closing To My Soy Wax Melt Review
I loved this holiday wax melt from Shortie’s – it was festive, fun, and lasted a long time. It’s certainly in the top running for what I’ll be melting this year with a house full of guests. I can’t wait to try some of their other scents to see how they fare compared to this one.
