About Goose Creek Candles

Goose Creek Candles is one of our standby’s here at Candlefind. We’ve written about them many times before and their super-duper sales just keep us coming back for more.

First Impression Of  Tropical Daydream:

Summer is well underway, and a vacation is nowhere in my future. I needed something to take me away…to transform me to a beach far away, sippin’ on a little somethin’ somethin’. The photo on this wax melt sure gave me hope – the sunset…the palm trees…the water. Oh, the water! The scene was serene and exactly what I was hoping for.

Once I popped open the lid to their round clamshell wax melt, I was Blown. Away. YES!!! This scent smelled like a pina colada in a tall glass with a little fruit on the side, served up on the beach. It was pretty strong on cold sniff and made me even more excited to get to melting!

I tripped on over to the website see what I was supposed to be smelling.

Escape to a lush tropical paradise. It’s truly what dreams are made of.

Yep. Got that vibe for sure. I love that Goose Creek includes so much detail about their scents. Further reading let me know the top, middle, and base notes:

Top: Juicy Fresh Pineapple, Fresh Pear

Mid: Star Apple, Guava, Palm Leaf

Base: Soft Bamboo, Tropical Woodlands

Now I didn’t get all that on cold sniff, but I wasn’t too alarmed. The wax generally blossoms once warmed, but I knew I was going to be pleased with this one.

Tropical Daydream Wax Melt Review

Melting Tropical Daydream:

I used two cubes went in my electric melter (24W) and I immediately noticed the scent fragrance. I could have sworn I smelled sweet coconut, even though that’s not in the scent description. The juicy pineapple was definitely present and helped carry this scent on through my house. Ohmygoodness was it good!

Once it melted more, I got some of the green notes that were present. I think that helped keep this scent from being just a super sweet, sticky scent. It wasn’t. It was kind of creamy (part of why I thought there was some coconut) and refreshing at the same time. The scent strength was moderately strong and the throw was super fantastic. I took this wax melt with me on a business trip and could smell it behind the closed doors of my hotel room. I had to keep turning it on & off while in the hotel to keep from “disturbing” others.

As far as performance, this melt was excellent. The cubes I had lasted such a long time. I melted them for several days for hours at a time. It seemed like this one would never give up! I do think I’ve found a new favorite from Goose Creek, but sadly…they are currently sold out of this scent in wax melt form. I do see some candles available and I just may have to snag a few of those for my next few quasi-summer vacations.

Scent strength I would rate as 4/5 and throw was definitely 5/5. Performance & authenticity? Solid 5s all the way. If you love tropical, fruity scents, I think this one is a great one to try.

Happy melting!
