We’ve been fans of S-Scents Handcrafted for a while now, so we couldn’t wait to try out the adorable Raspberry Lemonade wax melt. It put us in a patriotic mood with the themed coloring and the scent was perfect for this summer heat!

Packaging/Presentation
The Raspberry Lemonade wax melt was the perfect addition to our July 2021 subscription boxes, as the theme was Party Like It’s 1776. The cupcake style wax melt was triple layered in colors of red, white, and blue. It was topped with a white “whipped cream” with red and blue sprinkles. Adorable!
It was shrink wrapped to help preserve some freshness. The circular label on top helped easily identify the company and scent names. For me, it was a bit of a struggle to get the shrink wrap off to get to the goodness.
Authenticity
It was hard to get much in the way of a cold sniff from this wax melt. I did smell some tangy notes that I thought were a part of the lemonade fragrance.

After I started melting the wax, that’s when I could really smell the delicious scent notes. I smelled the juicy raspberry notes first and foremost. After the wax started melting more, I could smell the tangy lemonade – tart and slightly sweet. A wonderful combination! I couldn’t smell any musk notes, but it was fine by me as I thought the scent was perfect as-is.
Scent Strength & Scent Throw
I used a 24W hotplate melter in a large bedroom for this wax melt, using the entire Raspberry Lemonade wax melt. I found the fragrance on the lighter side, but it did fragrance my room really well. The scent stayed in the area it was in – I could tell it was going when I entered the bedroom, but it didn’t creep on down into the hallways or elsewhere.
Melt Performance
I had no issues with this wax melt – the entire thing melted well and gave me such a beautiful wax melt pool. I was able to enjoy the fragrance for several hours over the span of 2-3 days, turning the melter on and off every few hours.
Conclusion
S-Scents Handcrafted has done it again for us. This Raspberry Lemonade wax melt was a beautiful work of art and it smelled oh-so-good! I do wish it were a tad bit stronger, but I think it would work well in smaller spaces. I also think it would work well for gatherings where you don’t want the fragrance to steal the show or be troublesome for scent-sensitive people.
