Stunned by the pandemic, we found ourselves spending more and more time indoors, stressing over issues of health, finances, and the worldly state of affairs. We did take the time to get to know several more indie candle companies, particularly those that promoted health and a sense of well-being. That’s exactly the premise behind The Mind + Vibe Company, and definitely what drew us in during this time of need. The specific Girls’ Night In candle was just what the doctor ordered this time of year, and we couldn’t wait to put it to good use!

Packaging/Presentation
My Girls’ Night In candle was the 8oz candle size. Mind + Vibe Co. also sells this particular candle in a 5oz size and as wax melts. The candle jar had a nice decorative label on the front with clear notations of the company and scent names. The label did wrap around most of the jar. The lid was gold and fit well on top of the jar. The wax itself was white (100% soy) and adorned with orange peel embeds and some gold glitter. Very pretty!
Authenticity
I loved the cold sniff of this candle. It was bright, citrusy, and cherry. I could definitely smell the sweet orange scent on cold sniff.

I lit this candle in a small bathroom and noticed the sharp citrus notes from it almost immediately as the wax warmed. It was definitely a lift-me-up type of scent. I was nice, light, and bright. The floral notes were there, but I really needed to be closer to the candle to pick those notes out. It was an absolutely beautiful blend that lifted my mood immediately!
Scent Strength & Scent Throw
The scent from this candle was on the lighter side, but it was perfect for the “mood.” It did well in the bathroom it was in, filling that area with a good amount of scent. I thought that was good for this sized candle.
Burn Performance
This was a nice, slow-burning candle. It took a couple of hours to get an almost-full wax melt pool. I loved how the embeds and bit of glitter floated around in the melt pool. It made for such a pretty burn! The burn itself was clean – no black soot noted. I burned this candle for a couple of hours at a time, trimming the wick in between.
Conclusion
I loved this Girls’ Night In candle from Mind + Vibe. It was the perfect candle to set a bright, cheery mood while having to stay indoors. The zingy citrus notes with the delicate floral notes made for a beautiful combination. I think this would be the perfect candle to light while soaking in the tub.
