I am continuously amazed at how many wonderful indie shops there are out there these days. It takes a lot to run a business, and even more to run it well with high-quality products and satisfied customers. Yet that’s exactly what Jess Dickey of The Scented Squirrel does, and we couldn’t have been more pleased to learn about her business and products. The product up for review today is one that is in our July subscription boxes (Party Like It’s 1776) – Firework Fizz scoopable wax. Perfect for the theme of the month!

Packaging/Presentation
The Firework Fizz scoopable wax was presented in a small 4oz plastic jar with a screw top lid. The label on the front was adorable and demonstrated the company and scent names clearly. The wax itself was smooth-looking and was adorned with a little bit of glitter for a touch of bling. My wax was a pretty blue color and the glitter was a pretty red.
Authenticity
On cold sniff, I thought I smelled a citrusy sweetness – mostly some orange. It was funny because I did not see orange listed in the scent description.
Blue Raspberry Slushie, Rock Candy & Fizzy Soda
I scooped a small bit of wax out and placed it in my 24W hotplate melter. It started melting right away and ohmygoodness…I was totally in love! The scent was fruity and a little candy-like sweet. I still thought I smelled orange notes, but I think that was the citrus component of the rock candy. There was a bright, bubbly note that seemed to come out the more that it melted. This fragrance kept me energized and in a good mood all day long!
Scent Strength & Scent Throw
I had this melting in a large bedroom and the scent was strong and true. It filled the bedroom without a problem and I could smell it wafting down the hallway when I had the door open. Amazing from such a small amount of the wax!
Melt Performance
I used a small portion of my Firework Fizz scoopable wax and was able to enjoy the scent for most of the day. I kept it in my melter overnight and fired it back up the next day – it still had some scent, even though it was not as strong as the first day. That’s to be expected and, in fact, is really good. I think this small jar of wax could last me a really long time if I used it as I did for testing. What I will most likely do is place a bit of this wax in various melters throughout my house and enjoy the vibrant fragrance all over!
Conclusion
I was impressed with Firecracker Fizz scoopable wax from The Scented Squirrel from start to finish. The company is fun and easy to work with and the products? Out of this world good! Love the scoopable wax, love the scent, love this company…that about sums it up!
