With the summer heat in full force, I have been looking for something cool and refreshing to scent up my home. The Strawberry Prosecco candle from HomeLights seemed to fit the bill. This was a new-to-me company, and boy, am I already impressed!

Packaging/Presentation
First let me say this…this Strawberry Prosecco candle is HUGE! It came in a gorgeous gift box with a hand-drawn design of Chinese ancient flower and bird elements. It was a very interesting box and would make for great gift giving as-is. Inside, the amazing candle set nestled inside. It was obviously hand-blown glass of pretty high quality. The coloring was several shades of rose, consistent with the scent. The wax was white and there were three pretty well-spaced wicks inside. The name Strawberry Prosecco was on the outside of the jar. If you wanted more info like the company name, you’d need to turn the jar over and look at the bottom.
The jar was wide and the glass curved up towards the top. I thought that design was pretty ingenious, as it would allow some of the heat to stay “inwards” to make sure the wax melted all the way across. They obviously thought of everything!
Authenticity
On cold sniff, I smelled a slightly sweet, fruity scent with a little bit of warmth. It smelled wonderful!

I lit my Strawberry Prosecco candle in a large, open living space and almost immediately got the depth and complexity of this fragrance. It was soooo delicious! It did smell like a sweet, sparkly strawberry wine, but not too sweet. It had some other warm elements that grounded it a bit and kept it from being cloying or sticky sweet. I’m not sure I got much of the bubbliness that I expected, but it didn’t really matter to me. This scent was so yummy, I was in love!
Scent Strength & Scent Throw
I will say that this scent was on the lighter side. It did carry well, though. I was able to smell the fragrance and tell it was burning in the large, open space without difficulty. If I moved it to a medium sized bedroom, it pretty much filled that space with scent.
Burn Performance
It did take me a really, really long time to get an almost full wax melt pool with my Strawberry Prosecco candle. As in, I did have to burn it more than my usual 4 hour cut-off time because I wanted that full wax melt pool. While I understand the design of the candle vessel, I think it might have actually hindered the development of my full wax melt pool. Nonetheless, I did finally get an almost full pool, with just a couple of areas of wax hang up on the sides. The burn was super clean, even after such a long burning session. I never noticed any black sooting and my flames never got too wild and crazy.
Conclusion
Overall, I was more than impressed with my Strawberry Prosecco candle from HomeLights. The candle is gorgeous with a lovely scent to it. The vessel can be repurposed after all the wax is gone – it would look lovely on anyone’s shelf. Given the fact that the candle was so huge and that it burned forever, it seems like this brand is quite the value.
