Holiday Trapp Luxury Candle Review

Brand: Trapp
Type: 7oz luxury candle
Fragrance: Holiday
Scent Strength: Medium
First impression of Holiday from Trapp:
I have been in luxury heaven this week reviewing candles I received from Candles Off Main, my favorite website that carries pretty much every luxury brand you can imagine. Why do I like this site so much? Aside from their large selection, I can purchase several different brands in one transaction and get free shipping, a huge bonus for an online shopper like me.
For this series, I decided on all Christmas themed candles to review. I’m still fairly new to the world of “luxury brands” and haven’t really tried many holiday fragrances so I was so excited to really dig in and try a few.
For this review, I’m centering on a candle called “Holiday” from Trapp. As soon as I put my nose up to the wax, I smiled from ear to ear. Oh my goodness did it smell amazing. The label on the box listed three fragrances that make up this scent… Cinnamon Stick, Gingerbread and Bourbon Vanilla. Mmmm!! I’ll take two please!!
Here is the scent description for Holiday:
The Trapp Holiday candle blends cinnamon sticks, spiced raisins and gingerbread to make this a vibrant and spicy blend.
Hmm? I don’t see Bourbon vanilla in that description but it clearly says it on the box itself. Smelling the wax, warm cinnamon and vanilla wafted all around my face. It was sweet, warm and full of bakery goodness. I couldn’t wait to light up this candle and wait for the magic to begin.
Time to find out!
I decided to go all out and burn this candle in my master bedroom. It’s a huge room and was hoping this candle would hold its own there…. Once lit, it took a good 20 minutes before the candle reached a full melt pool and once it did, I ended up moving it to a medium sized room where it performed much better. Why? Because this is definitely a scent you’ll want to maximize the scent throw and savor… it smelled amazing! The aroma – a creamy and smooth gingerbread vanilla. It was spicy with the perfect touch of sweet cream to smooth it out. I never really did detect raisins listed in the scent description but I was perfectly fine with that. The scent was perfect “as is.”
Strength – on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this candle a 6 in a large room. 8+ in a medium sized room and 10 in a small room. This fragrance was definitely a little more subtle than I’m used to with this brand but vanilla scents do tend to give lighter scent throws so I’m not going to ding this candle for strength because of that.
How did my candle burn?
This candle burned perfect. Zero wick issues. Clean burning from start to finish.
Closing to my review:
Mmmm!! That’s what I thought of my “Holiday” experience from Trapp. After burning a few Christmas tree and pine scents in a row, a creamy gingerbread vanilla was a welcome change of pace and one my entire family enjoyed.
In closing, Holiday from Trapp is a perfect candle to burn if you love spicy bakery scents. Just imagine warm gingerbread with vanilla swirled throughout. A mouthwatering experience all bakery lovers like myself yearn for.
Happy candle hunting!
