This candle was a bust for me. The price was right at $3.00 but with no scent, it wasn’t worth the full effort to burn this candle to the end.
First Impressions of My Hazelnut Cream Candle
I am so bad burning candles I’m reviewing in a timely manner. I just have so many to burn, I get bogged down. Good thing, bad thing? It’s a toss up.
I picked up a Hazelnut Cream candle spur of the moment at Walmart. I’m not really a fan of the Mainstays brand but they do have a diamond in the rough every once in a while, so I figured… what the heck.

A sweet, creamy vanilla scent with hazelnut that creates sheer warmth.
First impression, I couldn’t smell anything with my nose up to the wax, but not passing judgement till I light the wicks. Which happens right now!
I stuck to a small bathroom to start out and that’s where this candle stayed for a full day. Once the wicks were lit, it took a good 40 minutes to reach a full melt pool and the scent… nonexistent. There was virtually no aroma to this candle, even with my nose up to the wax.
Bummer! ☹
How Did My Candle Burn?
This candle struggled a bit in the beginning to reach a full melt pool but eventually did correct itself. Other than that, great burn.
Closing To My Hazelnut Cream Candle Review
This candle was a bust for me. The price was right at $3.00 but with no scent, it wasn’t worth the full effort to burn this candle to the end. I ended up throwing it away after day one. Oh well… you win some, you lose some I guess.
