Candlefind Says

I admit, I was a little disappointed with this candle. It smelled decent and it was adorable but it just didn’t product enough fragrance to justify the cost.

First Impressions of My Butterscotch Oatmeal CandleButterscotch Oatmeal Candle Mrs. Fields

My next installment of Mrs. Fields Cookie Candles…. Butterscotch Oatmeal….. YUM!!!!

Mrs. Fields candles are just too cute for words!! The glass vessel is in the shape of a cookie jar with a matching metal tiered lid fitting right into that yummy bakery theme. The color of the wax was a deep burnt orange and my candle had one wick. The red label on one side was small and simple showing a picture of Butterscotch Cookies with the Mrs. Fields logo above.

First sniff… hard to tell. I smelled bakery of some sort but it almost had a synthetic/plasticy vibe to it. I’m hoping that changes once the candle is burning.

Time to find out!

I lit this candle in a small bathroom to test it out where it remained from beginning to end. The scent throw was pretty light, even in my small power room. The fragrance itself… a light cookie scent. The plastic note I was detecting at first did go away so that was good… the scent was just a little too light to really enjoy it. With my nose right up to the candle, I could smell the scent loud and clear and it smelled really good… a delicious and sweet bakery cookie. Just a bummer it wasn’t a tad stronger.

Strength

On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this a 2 in a really small room. It was that light.

How Did My Candle Burn?

My candle burned okay. There was wax left in all four corners of the jar where the wax never melted but it wasn’t too bad. This candle did produce a bit of soot around the mouth of the jar so I had to really stay on top of keeping the wick trimmed each day. Other than that, it burned pretty good.

Closing To My Butterscotch Oatmeal Candle Review

I admit, I was a little disappointed with this candle. It smelled decent and it was adorable but it just didn’t product enough fragrance to justify the cost. I paid close to fifteen dollars for this candle. So, I probably will not be purchasing this one again anytime soon.

Now, where to purchase Mrs. Fields candles should you want to try one? My local Safeway store carries this brand so that’s where I pick mine up. You’ll have the best luck looking locally where you live. I’ve seen these candles at a few different grocery stores. Or, a quick internet search will give you a few results as well if you prefer purchasing online.

Happy candle hunting!
