    Hey y'all..It's been such a great low humidity week here in Indiana. I've been trying to grab a little sun in the afternoon. I'nm tired of looking like a red headed ghost... [smilie=th_WE1summer013] I've been melting TDc-peace, love and patchouli and a dupe of Forever Alice from Blue Gecko(remember them?. Doc from Busy Bee, duped this last year and I don't know if they added it to their regular list, but it is SO good and a very true dup. Well, I'm heading outside to water, so have a great weekend.

    Did you mean that for me (the Pink Monkey Kisses)? I didn't see Aria mention monkey scent - anyways, I liked it! It's described as Pink + Monkey Kisses, which is described:

    This unique complex fragrance begins with top notes of fresh bananas and juicy grapefruit, middle notes of kiwi, juicy bubblegum, and strawberries; and a hint of vanilla as a base note. I thought it was a fun, summery scent

     

    This sounds like something I'd REALLY like - I once made a big *wish list* for AMS but then I read people having lots of trouble with their orders, is this a vendor you regularly order from, She?

     

    Funny you should mention this, because I just noticed the vanishing-scent-on-rewarm phenomena myself. So strange!

    Today I am melting 2 from Kristen's Kandles. I got a couple of her Melt Medleys recently and I was really impressed with the cold sniffs and the way the tarts look, so I'm trying to melt a few to gauge the throw because she has a BOGO going on until tonite. I'm teetering on a reorder. I searched on the Forum to see what others said and it seems to be "hit or miss" so I'm out to see for myself (in a hurry! lol)

    I have Tropic Breeze in my living room, which is good, but I've been having a hard time getting good throw with this HORRIBLE humidity, so it's hard to judge

    and Water Blossom Ivy in my bedroom. I threw it on, hopped in the shower, and when I got out, it just looked like a deformed waxie - not sure the wax content, but it may not melt in the lower temp back there - gotta go check it again.

    This late afternoon it's LSC Buttermint. I love this scent..I think our 22nd. day 90 and above here... I'm doing some cleaning out of some stuff today. Also, I think my keyboard and mouse are about shot, so on the hunt soon for a replacement. I should just get a lap top and not worry about replacing this stuff, but watching my funds. so this will work for now. Have a great evening and I hope to check in a little more this week..

    Thanks Aria: You are a very perceptive gal and hugs to you...just got a bad case of the blues, I guess. This morning I am melting LSC Raspberry Mint Preserves. My house is smelling very good and invigorating. Getting ready to go for a therapeutic massage. I'm sure this will help me feel better..I hope y'all are having a good week. It's a little cooler here today and I am loving this.

    I have the same issue Gail, with my melts for the past few weeks. The ones that usually pack a great throw and scent are just not quite doing the job. But, I am melting Grandpa's Pipe from County Line Candles and it is really doing a very nice job . I just got back from my chiropractor monthly adjustment and going to break some green beans for dinner. Stay cool and have a good afternoon.

    Many of my melts are not throwing worth a [smilie=crap] during this heat wave the past couple of weeks. [smilie=grrr] I am melting Grandpa's Pipe from County Line Candles and it is doing very well in my LR. I love this smell too..I've been watering outside flowers, but we just need a good soaking rain. I'm trying to muddle through this anniversary date of my Dad passing 4 years ago. He was just my buddy and I miss him more each year.

    One of my BFF was passing through with her daughter on their way home to Canada. I brought out my boxes of stash and told them "It's time to go shopping at Kim's stash" They were awe struck at all of the tarts, B & B perfumes,soaps. We sure had a great time and I hope they enjoy their goodies that they are taking across the border with them. This afternoon I am melting a new vendor for me County Line Candles-Cowboy.. The tarts smell really good and is just the kind of scent I was into for today. I think this is going to be another great company as they are very nicely scented. Kinda reminds me of Southern Star Scents. Have a great weekend y'all.

    I tried the cake shaped tarts from Candleberry. I have Carolina Sugar Cane Mist and Kentucky Bourbon. They both are really nice scents but the throw is probably medium in my house. I don't think I will order again. I haven't been melting the last few days. My friend's Dh passed away. DS has been having very painful neuralgia or what ever in his jaw and ears and tons of other things. I do think a DGF and her daughter will be visiting me this week on their way back home to Canada. This makes me very happy!!I will be starting the day with Luna Bleu Patchouli Dreams. This is a new scent from here for me..I will report in later on it. Aria, I love your avatar. Is this from your home? Well need to get gong thinking of you all.

    I hope you all can stay cool and all your wax is not melting! I had some interesting shapes at the end of last summer after tarts had been stored in a hot upstairs closet!

     

    Tonight has been Apple Mint from Huckleberry Layne, I think that is spelled right?

    33745.gif I'm melting... Oh my, it is so hot outside today! I know there are places much hotter too...it's like 94 degrees here right now. The sun was shining, but it is getting dark...think we're in for some strong storms this afternoon. ththunderstorm.gif

     

    Anyhow, I started a new tart for the afternoon...Carol's Spicy Kitchen "The aroma of the kitchen comes through with hints of oranges, cinnamon and spices can be found in this unique scent"...love the description of this scent and on cold sniff I can really smell the oranges.

     

    Did a quick run to Walmart and completely avoided the candle aisle! Can you believe that?? :o

    It's hot here too, something like 98 degrees. I'm a heat lover though, so no complainin' here.

    Yes Gail it sure is..I love this beautiful bush. They used to grow in my grandparent's yard in South Carolina and I am so glad I found some hardy for our climate in Indiana.

    Yes, Summer is here. It's county fair time, and so it goes...I am melitng Luna Bleu-Chergui and LOL American Dream. DR painted the DR and kitchen on Friday. The color is called Sea Salt Blue. It's very calming. Next, onto painting our old kitchen cabinets that are varnished wood? Any tips or suggestions on this project. I think it's going to be very involved. I hope y'all are staying cool and hydrated..and enjoying the summertime.

    Good Morning..Wow another HOT one today and with my HOT flashes not a good combo. [smilie=th_dd5]

    Shelia, I also love LB Chergui and the tarts are to die for. If anyone knows of another source that has this scent in a tart, please let me know. Lathers and Lights has a very nice lotion and EDP in Chergui.

    This morning I found a tart that was hiding in my stash. I have forgotten how good LOL Wood Coffee smells. It's been a long time since I have placed an order, so maybe it's time to check out their great scents again.

     

    DH is taking off Friday and finally paining my dining room and kitchen. This project may be done by Christmas. I hope y'all are staying cool and I need to venture out side to make sure my babies have plenty of water. [smilie=th_catkiss]

    I hope everyone had a good holiday weekend. This morning I am melting CBV French Quarter..I've been watching the Casey Anthony trial off and on..it sure does tear at my heart what this precious little girl went through.

    I have one more room of window washing to go, so I hope to work on them today. Have a wonderful Tuesday y'all...
