I think those of us with teenage daughters need to form our own support group forum, lol. Or at least start a similar topic under Off Topic here. I am liking Nene's Christmas wish. It is melting in my 12 watt burner, which doesn't throw as strong as my 24 watt burner. The scent is light but refreshing. Hard to compare it to YC's version because I've never tried that one. They may not even be the same mixtures. The description for Nene's says: A unique blend of light citrus, pine, and cedar wood nestled in a warm, rich vanilla cookie base. Just what I want my house to smell like for the holidays But I also have Christmas Wish by Crosscreek and its description is a bit different from Nenes': a delightful Christmas blend of fresh pine, orange and spices

Tonight it's Crosscreek's Eggnog, Brown Bag's Holiday Sleigh Ride, and YC's Balsam & Cedar.

Boogie, How do you like Nene's Christmas Wish? Better than YC's version? I love Yankee's scent and am as always looking for a good dupe...I've found that the dupes are often better than the originals. After reading about your Xmas adventure I'm gritting my teeth when I think ahead to the next couple of years...my daughter's only 11 but judging from her mood swings now I can see what's coming...

Cat, waving right back at'cha ! How fortunate that your husband didn't break the oil warmer. He would have been in the dog house, for sure, LOL. Christmas was nice except for the meltdown my 14 year old had because she didn't get the camera she asked for after I had done all of the shopping. She wanted one of those high mega pixel digital cameras, which irked me because I have one of those 2 mega pixel cameras and feel that she should get my "hand me down" while I get the new one. For some reason, my husband decided to get ME a new digital camera and when I opened it up, my daughter became quite the little witch. Since it was Christmas, and since I am a mother, I gave her MY new camera. Then she started to cry because she felt she didn't deserve it after being so ungrateful.. SIGH.....Well, the IPOD speakers I got her were not compatible with her 3rd generation Ipod Nano, so since that was being returned, it helped decide who would get the camera. Of course when I went to take Christmas pictures with my "old, sorry" camera, the batteries had gone dead and we didn't have batteries for it in the house. more sighing...... Aren't you glad you asked ? LOL

This morning it is YC New Zealand Wild Berry--I really like this one--haven't decided what this evening will be--will see how the day goes.

It's the last two cubes of my Apple Crisp from PI--you can even smell the topping--yum!

Fleur, not only do I remember Maypo, but I have it in my pantry ! I prefer Cream of Wheat or Farina( with lots of butter), though. :)

Us ladies have been busy ! Today is Nene's Candy Cane Cocoa in the kitchen and Nene's Pecan Caramel Crisp in the living room.

I plan to burn the rest of my Christmas tart stockpile this weekend (OK, most of it anyway...I've got way too many to burn them all) :) The trees and decorations are still up until New Year's and I might as well still enjoy the Christmas scents while the season lasts... Tonight it's going to be Gingerbread Village and Eggnog from Crosscreek, plus YC's Christmas Wreath. I might even dig out that extra burner and throw on some PI Vanilla, which is one of the best vanillas ever! (IMO.)

I have been in a fruit and bakery mood this week. Have burned Christmas Cookie from YC as well as Colonial's Fresh Baked Bread and YC Sparkling Lemon. I've been putting one on early in the morning and switching out about 3 PM for the evening. Still have some Christmas ones to finish up. I plan to put Brown Bag's Hot Orange Danish on for this evening. Brown Bag has some really good scents. Have a great day everyone!

Still working on my Christmas scents, too, but I am craving bakery scents the past couple of days. Melting Nene's Coconut Cream Pie in one room, and Hot buttered rum in the other. I had a gingerbread on yesterday, and realized that I still have several of those to get through. Also have a mistletoe that needs melting, but I'm not in the mood for it, lol.

Today it's Brown Bag's Holiday Sleigh Ride and Crosscreek's Hillbilly Homebrew. I'm trying to use up my Christmas inventory as the holidays wind down. Gotta love those YC sales! I avoid buying the jars (too sooty etc.) but I bought a bunch of tarts and votives online plus some cute accessories. IMO their prices are too high so I only buy when there's a sale. We'll see if I actually get my entire order - I've had them cancel items before on me without notice and from what I've read I'm not alone.

Debra, is your Rosegirls' Old Fashioned Christmas from last year? I don't see that on her website anymore. Just wondering if her tarts will maintain their scent after a year in storage?

Melting Crosscreek's Christmas Splendor, which is rich and wonderful. Also trying to use up a Peppermint and Pine tart in my kitchen, so I can put something else in that warmer later on. Must get rid of these Christmas tarts !

Debra, I guess she didn't advise me to switch to another scent because she felt as if she had improved on her pink sugar, lol. Why put it on your scent list if you don't like it ?

Nene's Cocoa Noel today, which I just want to eat up ! It's a very cozy scent. Yesterday, I tried DreamTarts Pink Sugar and felt it was too strong. I've tried Pink Sugar from every tart maker and this is the only one I have not liked.
