    I had ScentSationals Ginger Peach on the hot plate all day, and just started YC Lake Sunset in the living room. It seemed very floral on cold sniff, so we'll see...

     

    ETA: Has anyone else noticed the new category labeling on Yankee's candles? I just looked at the Turquoise Sky I bought for my friend and it has a little "Fresh" icon next to the name. My Harvest has a "Food & Spice." Haven't seen any other categories yet.

    mpfand, I hope your sister's visit goes well. I'm 10 and 12 years older than my 2 brothers, and while I've always gotten along very well with the younger one, the middle one and I have definitely had our issues! We've become a lot closer in the past few years and put much of the bad feelings behind us. Holiday dinners are a lot more pleasant now ;)

     

    Not much melting this week, between long hours at work and going to the A's-Mariners game last night--lots of fun, but I was SO tired today! The weird muggy weather isn't helping much.

     

    Tonight I have YC Turquoise Sky in the tealight burner. Time to relax!

    Ack! Know how you feel--most of my books are in storage offsite and it seems like those are the only ones I want to read ;) Hope the craziness is over soon and you love the new kitchen!

     

    This evening I have YC Black Coconut going in the living room and B&BW Watermelon Lemonade in the dressing area.

    Hoping to make it to the mall tomorrow to check out both B&BW and YC. I remembered to print out the coupons AND put them in my purse this time around. Usually I only remember coupons when I'm halfway to the mall entrance [smilie=th_Skratta_Bankabordet]

     

    Tonight it's YC Oceanside in the living room and B&BW Watermelon Lemonade in the bedroom. Needed something light this evening, as it's warm and a little humid out.

    I took the wax out of a mini B&BW's Smores candle & am melting it. It's a good sweet marshmallow/smokey scent.

     

    This is one of my current obsessions--I can't seem to get enough of it lately. [smilie=th_slider_flirt]

     

    Rivercat, how was Juan's Burro Ride? th_FULL_O17.gif I'm trying to imagine the scent description.

     

    The name certainly could indicate a whole bunch of things, right? [smilie=th_Skratta_Bankabordet] It's one of Streetman's coffee scents: "fresh brewed coffee, cinnamon and cream." It's probably the least creamy and sweet scent in their coffee lineup.

     

    Tonight it's B&BW London Calling.

    Rivercat, did your friend get to have her BBQ? Weather has been rainy here in the Denver area each afternoon, too. It's definitely hard to plan outdoor events during monsoon season!

     

    Candlefan, yes, thank goodness! Right around noon the clouds disappeared and it warmed up nicely. Such weird weather this summer :huh:

     

    Trep, I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. It's a great idea to get fall going now--it's my favorite season [smilie=th_LOVE]

     

    Aria, glad you weren't seriously hurt! I'm always stepping on cat toys in the dark and thinking it's a dead mouse or something [smilie=th_thanimeomega_emoticon

    Rivercat - just a little word of caution if you turn your minis into tarts - the saleslady at the store warned against setting the container on a melter - sounds like there have been some uh-ohs doing that!

     

    Yikes, good to know! I will definitely keep an eye on them if I use the melter. I was also thinking of maybe just cutting the wax out, since it's fairly soft.

     

    This morning it's Streetman Juan's Burro Ride in the living room and TDC Lemon Eucalyptus in the bathroom.

     

    Supposed to be heading to a friend's backyard bbq in a couple hours, but it's all chilly and grey outside. The poor woman has already changed the date twice :crysmiley1:

    MaggieMae, what an adorable cabinet! Hope you're having a wonderful vacation.

     

    Didn't melt much over the weekend, but tonight I have YC Vanilla Lime in the living room and a B&BW mini Lemon candle in the dressing area.

     

    I haven't been terribly impressed with the B&BW minis so far: the throw is great for the size, but all the wicks are off center and they tunnel badly without a foil collar. Guess I will stick with the big 3 wicks from now on [smilie=th_sign0164]

    LOL! My Great Aunt Clara (doesn't everyone have an Aunt Clara? :D ) used to tell us that dragonflies would zip up our lips. I think they're gorgeous anyway ^_^

     

    Belle Morte, Midnight Pomegranite and Bewitched Vanilla, all by Starlight Channing (etsy). I'm just not smelling much from them either, I wonder if it's me!

     

    Ooh, a new vendor to check out!

     

    Currently burning B&BW Summertime S'mores again. Did I mention I like this? I really, really like this :wub:

    I have been out of town for a couple of days - and I did not take my laptop! [smilie=th_thanimeomega_emoticon I decided to "go bare"! Culture shock, however, it was like being in the 90's!

     

    [smilie=th_funny_sign] LOL! Remember having to dial in with a modem and wait.. and wait... and wait...

     

    We're having a chilly, breezy evening, so tonight's burning is B&BW Summertime S'mores. I was worried it would be too sweet, but it's lovely [smilie=th_slider_flirt]

    I have been hoarding YC Indonesian Ginger tarts. I am down to 3. Make that 2! [smilie=th_thanimeomega_emoticon

     

    Ack! I asked the YC Outlet SA about that scent and he said he thinks it's one of the ones that disappeared because they couldn't get the right oil anymore [smilie=th_cray]

     

    On the hot plate today I melted a cube of AmbiEscents (newish clamshell line at Bed Bath & Beyond, like BH&G or Scentsationals) Lemongrass Ginger Tea. Like the scent a lot but it was pretty light.

     

    Just put YC Pink Sands in the tea light burner.
