  1. mpfand, so glad he DH is feeling better!

Sweet, happy to help! Let me know if she has any other questions. SF can be crazy and a little overwhelming [smilie=th_e3301ae2]

Candlelove, YC Vanilla Oak is one of my faves. I'm sloooowly nursing a large jar from ages ago [smilie=th_slider_flirt]

Got a late start tonight: melting Sweet Fixations Lemon Noel, prob my favorite scent from her so far!

  2. Sweet, May is a great time to see SF! If your friend is into food, the Ferry Building has a wonderful farmer's market 3 days a week with all kinds of gourmet foods. The Embarcadero is also a good spot to catch the special light display on the Bay Bridge at night. The one typical touristy thing that's actually worth doing is to ride a cable car from Market St to Fisherman's Wharf [smilie=th_aa17]

mpfand, how scary! I hope he's feeling better [smilie=th_thanimeomega_emoticon

Candlelove, yuck! Here's hoping the PVC lasts forever and you get rid of the smell fast!

It did not quite hit 90 here today, but came darn close. Still 85 right now at 7pm but cooling fast. We're supposed to dip back down to the low 70s in a couple days. I can't keep up [smilie=th_roll]

Melting TDC Cactus & Sea Salt. Low key and undemanding.

  3. We've been having weirdly warm weather--supposed to be low 90's tomorrow [smilie=th_sSig_what]

Woke up feeling kind of off and none of the usual morning scents sounded appealing, so I have BH&G Grapefruit Melon Sage going on the hot plate in the bedroom in the hope that it will just be a happy, fresh and unobtrusive.

    Have a good day!

  4. Aria, I think about it every year LOL. I've been using Turbo Tax for a while now and it has worked pretty well. My taxes are pretty straightforward, just time consuming because until Feb I was a contractor so they treat it like a small biz even though most of it doesn't apply to me [smilie=th_confused3]

But I got 'em done, and am on a strict wax ban for a while, which isn't a bad idea anyway, since I'm also out of storage space [smilie=th_Skratta_Bankabordet]

Speaking of sweet lemony scents, my evening melting is Sweet Fixations Yellow Polka Dot Bikini [smilie=th_ecd36868]

  5. Michele, sending prayers for your friend. Good news about your sister in law! Hopefully the weather will cooperate for your WDW trip.

Melting TDC Aloe & Green Tea. Also had this in the bedroom last night--Clean and soothing.

Got my first Sweet Fixations order today, including my first venture into Seredipity territory. There's no turning back now [smilie=th_12E9EC16]

  6. Honeybear, how lovely! I went to a yoga retreat a few years ago and had a wonderful time (despite the weather being extremely hot). I need to do another one soon!

Mpfand, Congrats! The weather is supposed to warm up over the next few days, so it should be perfect up there. Enjoy!

Tonight I'm trying out Streetman Perfectly Pear. It's just on the edge of being a little too sweet and perfumey, so we'll see. [smilie=th_F_14WA116161617]

Last night I dreamt that Sweet Fixations ran out of most of the tarts I ordered so she subbed in a whole bunch of bakery scents, which made me upset because I'm not much of a bakery fan. Clearly, I am spending too much time obsessing over wax! ;)

    Have a good evening!

  7. Tonight - melting My Dear Watson/Scentsy while I try and keep the cat and puppy separated. The cat has had it with hiding and chaos has arrived.

Wanted to add - Rivercat - your Avocado scent sounds like one I should try!

Uh oh! The puppy had better watch out--cats come with sharp, pointy parts :D Good luck!

Wasn't too sure about the avocado part at first, but I ended up really liking it--very soothing and clean. I'm going to try it as a sleep scent in my new hot plate warmer.

Currently melting Paula Deen Lemon Basil. Light but pretty. Was worried because the cold sniff had that lovely whiff of petroleum [smilie=th_puke]

I went to Michael's this morning and they had all the Paula Deen wax on clearance (I didn't even know they carried PD!), so I bought the last hot plate warmer and the Lemon Basil tarts. Her tart packaging is awful, and most of them only have the scent marked on the back in teeny, tiny print  The clerk said she loves the scents, but people just buy the candles. Maybe 'cuz they can't tell what the scents are? LOL!

  8. Just lit a BHG candle called Grapefruit Sage something. I sure hope this smells good once I get a pool going. TGIF everyone! [smilie=th_WE1summer013]

Melody, is that the grapefruit melon one? I like it, but SO strong in my tiny apt. I only melt about 1/4 of a cube :D

Tonight I'm trying out TDC Avocado & Sea Salt. So far, so good: clean and fresh with a salty edge to it.

    Have a good evening!

  9. This one is going back to the store tomorrow. When it is lit it fills the house with a nasty smell that had all three of us who were here going to check the litter box--if you KWIM? None of us had said a word to the others we just all thought the same thing. Once you blow it out, however, or if you stand right over it it smells like a nice berry scent. [smilie=th_idontknow]

Trep, how bizarre! Poor kitty :D

I'm working from home today as they're supposed to come around and replace the life safety "horns" in all the units and I always worry about the cats getting out.

Melting leftover Streetman Lime Passion from last night to brighten up the foggy, foggy morning here [smilie=th_WE1summer013]
