  1. Sweet, [smilie=th_thlaughter] I keep trying to bring up the subject of earning their keep, but no dice so far.

Debra, Uh oh... Hopefully it's just an inflammation which is pretty common and often just clears up on its own [smilie=th_thanimeomega_emoticon

Aria, glad to hear the picnic was a success. Boys don't always think things through, do they? :D

    Melting Streetman Lime & Coconut.

I saw on a blog recently that Heather Streetman and her husband have started selling their taco mix, which sounds delish. Need to try that soon! [smilie=th_drool33456183iw4]

  2. Rivercat, awww, poor kitty...sure hope the new meds do the trick. Like I said previously, our Tiger had the same problem a couple of years ago. Have they asked you to bring in a sample? That was always a little difficult to do. Have they suggested a change in food?

Scout picnic today for DS#2. His den will also be doing a flag retirement ceremony afterwards. It should be very solemn and moving.

They were able to get a sample while we were there, luckily! She's on a special diet for her hyperthyroid already, so hopefully we don't have to switch it up again.

Today she's doing pretty well and hasn't been straining at all so fingers crossed. Right now she's stalking a bug on the kitchen floor. ;)

How cool for your son! I always loved doing the flag ceremonies in Girl Scouts.

It hit 101 on my patio in the shade this afternoon, but the temp's already dropping back down. Supposed to be 82 tomorrow

Had TDC Cypress Cove in for a little while but wasn't in the mood and swapped it out for Sweet Fixations Cherry Cola.

  3. What a day: The cat started straining and spending a lot of time in the box again so back to the vet today. She's doing fine in general (eating, being a brat, etc.) so they gave us new meds and we're keeping an eye on it. Arrived at work midday and the boss took us out for a long lunch (nice of him) but then told me the project he'd said I could get to him on Monday actually needed to be in by the end of the day, so I didn't get home til after 6.30. :sSig_aaarggh:

    And it's still over 90 degrees at 8pm. :sFun_hot:

Melting YC Storm Watch. A little more on the powdery side than I remembered. Not sure I'll keep it in the burner.

I hope everyone is having a lovely Friday [smilie=th_wave]

  4. Maggie, glad to hear Daisy is doing well on the antibiotics! [smilie=th_smiley_emoticons_hurr

We hit 98 here yesterday, but high clouds came in and it dropped back down pretty quickly. Only needed the a/c for a little while. Today high 80s and back to 70s this week. I can't keep up

Started out with Sweet Fixations Rosemary Mint in the bedroom, but was only getting strong mint with a funky, cologne-y edge so I added a chunk of Streetman Really, Just Lemon and that took over completely. All lemony up in here now :D

    Have a great day!

  5. Hi, yankee addict! [smilie=th_Welcome1-1]

Haven't been melting much the past few days. One of the kitties contracted a UTI over the holiday, so I spent several hours (and $$$) at the emergency vet early Sunday morning and then had to keep an eye on her for the next few days to make sure it wasn't really an obstruction. She's doing much better now, but all the drama wore me out [smilie=th_oregonian_mornincoffe

Tonight burning YC World Journeys Malaysian Palm. A nice, calm scent ;)

Have a good evening, all [smilie=th_wave]

  6. Thanks everyone for the good wishes. My thumb was still sore yesterday but back to normal today. [smilie=th_a194]

Aria, great to hear your garage sale was a success and that you may have recruited another wax addict to the cause [smilie=th_happy096]

Melting TDC Lavender Lemongrass this evening. They're putting new roofs on the buildings here so I had the windows shut all day and came home to an apartment filled with eau de kittybox [smilie=th_gagme]

  7. Rivercat, how do you like the Vanilla Lime? Does it have a good throw?

Biolaeagles, the throw was pretty light and really inconsistent: I'd smell it all over the room one minute and then not at all the next

Have to admit I'm kinda relieved that CKTKR is having such short windows since I'm on a very strict ban at the moment so this way I'm not even tempted [smilie=th_FULL_O17]

The evening melt is TDC Vanilla Sandalwood.

    G'night all!
