    Hope all of you had fun watching the Super Bowl.

     

    The game and the ads weren't all that exciting, be we sure had fun eating [smilie=th_FULL_O17] We watched the Puppy Bowl before heading over to the party--I look forward to it every year.

     

     

    I tried melting YC Candy Corn, and it was kind of a dud. It smelled nice, like honey, but I had to practically stick my head in the melter to smell it!

     

    I liked this one a lot more than I expected to since I'm not a huge sweets fan, but it's sort of cozy. The throw is ok in my bedroom, but just barely!

     

    Tonight:

    Nene's Pumpkin Butter

    biolaeagles, cute thread title! Hope your little DS is doing well.

     

    Daphne's Pink Sugar Milk is still going strong in the bedroom from this afternoon, and I just added B&BW Snowday in the living room.

     

    Off to bake cookies and chop veggies for the Super Bowl feast tomorrow. Have a good evening!

    honeybear, that's such a tough thing to go through with a pet. Poor Dharma [smilie=th_empathy]

     

    My Nene's order came today and everything smells so wonderful. Do you guys let her cups cure or use them right away?

     

    When I walked in the door tonight, my apartment smelled like hot bologna. Not sure what the neighbor is cooking up, but I was scrambling to get a candle going! :huh:

    Rivercat, I hope you enjoy your Nene's. Any new scents you got?

     

    In hopes that we still might get some chilly weather someday, I got mostly winter scents, plus her dupe of Lea St. Barth, which is one of my favorite perfumes and I'd not seen it in wax before [smilie=th_dancing_smile]

     

    I find I'm not reaching for them as much since the weather here is definitely not wintery. It almost feels like it's summer.

     

    Ditto :( It was in the low 70s this afternoon so I burned B&BW Sicilian Orange. Just swapped it out for Marshmallow Fireside and Wylde Ivy Pumpkin Masquerade. At least the nights are frosty!

     

    katz, enjoy your veggie soup! I hope the kitties settle down soon.

     

    mpfand, gosh, your poor DS! Thank goodness it's not broken. Hope he recovers quickly.

    Thanks everyone for the good wishes! I went back to work today but was still so spacy it took me twice as long to get anything done. SO glad today is Friday!

    I put in orders with both Nene's and Daphne's Divine, so very excited about all the good smells on the way [smilie=th_drool33456183iw4]

     

    Burning YC Sparkling Angel in the living room and TDC Iced Cranberry in the bedroom melter. This one smells more like cherries to me than cranberry :huh:

    Yeah, there wasn't anything I was super eager to order in this batch. Leaves me more cash for Nene's :D

     

    I stayed home today with a little cold--nothing too bad. I slept a lot and hopefully will be back on my feet tomorrow.

    Rivercat - Maybe your boss will give you this Friday off to make up for having to work on the holiday, so you'll still get a long weekend? [smilie=th_c032]

     

    Sweet, if only! We still haven't had our holiday lunch since it was so crazy busy in December and he was eyeing Friday last I heard, so hopefully we'll at least get a nice lunch this week :)

     

    All this Nene's chatter is making me impatient. She needs to reopen soon! [smilie=th_bounce]

    I have a new one that I really like! B.C. (before candles) I used to mop every other day with the purple Fabuloso because I loved the scent and it made the kitchen smell sooo good!

     

    So, with that intro - Fabuloso by Tiffany's! [smilie=th_slider_flirt]

     

    Ooh! The cleaning service at our office building uses that and the ladies' room always smells so nice first thing in the morning. Glad to know there's a tart version [smilie=th_sign0162]

     

    One of my clients made it sound last week like they had urgent stuff for us to work on today so my boss had us come in and then the client ended up being out for the holiday [smilie=th_ANGRY_10]

    For anyone else in destash mode, isn't it exciting when you start to get to the bottom of a box or container?

     

    Yes! I keep thinking of new candles I want and orders I want to place and just have to remind myself to be strong and keep on melting :D

     

     

    My van has been in the shop for the past two days....$1900 later it's good as new.

     

    mpfand, glad to hear it's running again, but ouch! This has to be the worst time to be hit with car repairs :(

     

    Burning the last of another B&BW Pumpkin Carving in the living room and melting TDC Pumpkin Patchouli in the bedroom warmer. Guess I was in a Halloween mood!

    Tonight I'm burning Watermelon Lemonade from B&BW. It's weird to be burning such a summer scent right now, but it doesn't feel like winter at all here in SoCal. I really like this scent too! I hope they will bring it back around summertime.

     

    biolaeagles, B&BW has the mini candle with the a new label up on the website already, so looks like your wish has been granted [smilie=yes]

     

    I melted Wylde Ivy Rustic Pumpkin earlier, which turns out to be more of a French toast scent and not as pumpkin-y as I'd hoped. Just swapped it out for B&BW Cranberry Woods and Marshmallow Fireside.

    Yup! I've been washing my hands so much, they're all dry and flaky [smilie=eek]

     

    Rivercat - You're probably fortunate you could visit him in the hospital. There's so much flu going around right now, our hospitals are beginning to curtail visitors.:wacko:

     

    Once they figured out he had the flu as well as pneumonia, we had to put on masks, gloves and gowns before entering the room--though of course we'd been visiting without all that for 2 days. Incubation for H1N1 is 4-7 days so looks like I'm clear, but not taking any chances! [smilie=th_cha60]

     

    So...when I take it down, I change the multi colored lights on the fireplace garland to white lights with snowflake covers on em & put my snowman collection on the mantel. And a few candles of course.[smilie=th_sml29]

     

    What a great idea! I miss my twinkly lights the most when the decorations come down. [smilie=th_cry2yw3]

     

    Tonight burning YC Warm Woolen Mittens in the living room and B&BW Vanilla Bean Noel in the bedroom. Cozy!

    I went by to visit my friend who is still in the hospital today (but will likely get out tomorrow or Friday) and they are packed to the gills with flu sufferers, and the staff are all working extra shifts. I hope you are all taking care of yourselves and washing your hands as much as possible, especially with all the awful weather [smilie=th_c032]

    Haven't ordered in a very long time. Why do a lot of the vendors seem closed? Do they only open periodically? Or is it just the winter break?

     

    Candlelove, it is a shame that a lot of the vendors are closed often. It seems like the demand is way higher than the supply now-a-days.

     

    We were chatting about this on Facebook recently. There are so many YouTubers and bloggers talking about wax now that many of the popular vendors get really overwhelmed and can't keep up with the demand. It's gotten really crazy this year [smilie=th_thanimeomega_emoticon

     

     

    Evening everyone, It's been a day from [smilie=th_ANGRY_10]. I was supposed to work day and my car wouldn't start. BF & I worked on it all afternoon, and froze your hines off. I have tomorrow off, which is good because we didn't get it fixed. Sorry for the rant. Good night.
