The Etsy shop Sweet Tooth Scents has a number of creative, fun scents to be found. We enjoyed trying out their triple layer candle, Dazed and Confused, which was both fun and fragrant. Aside from these unique creations, Sweet Tooth also has some pretty straightforward scents, such as this Cream Cheese Danish wax melt that we tested out. I knew right away that this would be a bakery/foodie scent, and I was hoping it would be just as good as the Dazed and Confused candle.

Packaging/Presentation
This Cream Cheese Danish wax melt was a typical clamshell style wax melt. The clamshell wax pretty full with a soft, off-white wax which is typical of pure soy wax. There was a large black label on the front with the addition of a kraft-style sticker letting me know the product was handmade. The label had handwritten identifying information on it – the company name and scent name.
Authenticity
The cold sniff on this wax melt was fairly light but yummy. I could smell a bit of a buttery type crust and what I thought were some creamy vanilla notes. The scent descriptions take a little bit of work to find, but this is what I found on the website about this particular scent:

Pretty much as expected! I ended up using two of the cubes in my 20W hotplate melter in a large, open kitchen area. The wax was soft and started to melt right away. I could immediately start smelling that familiar twang of cream cheese – it has an almost sour kind of smell to it. I have a hard time with many cream cheese scents for this reason. This one, though, was tempered enough by the buttery crust notes that started to come out soon after. That scent was warm and delicious, cutting into those sour cream cheese notes. The blend together was really mouthwatering and good. I thought there was really a pastry sitting right next to me!
Scent Strength & Scent Throw
I started out melting this Cream Cheese Danish wax melt with 2 cubes of the clamshell, which is what I typically do for clamshells. I thought the scent was fairly light and I wasn’t getting the scent throw I wanted with 2 cubes. I ended up using 3 cubes in the melter and found it much more to my liking throw-wise. Still, the overall scent was on the lighter side, so this would be something to keep in mind when purchasing this particular scent.
Melt Performance
I did have to use 3 cubes to get my desired scent throw from this wax melt. For most of the clamshell style wax melts I use, 2 cubes are plenty. However, this scent was a bit lighter, so that did factor into the overall equation. Once I used the 3 cubes, I did get about 4-5 solid hours out of the wax melt before I noticed it starting to fade. I could have still used the melts for a longer period of time, but I was ready to change out by then.
Conclusion
I did enjoy the Cream Cheese Danish wax melt from Sweet Tooth Scents. It was a warm, buttery bakery scent with just a bit of the cream cheese notes to make it delicious without being too sour. The scent was on the lighter side, so I did have to use a bit more wax than I would have liked. Still, it performed well overall and I could certainly see trying other scents from this company. I am absolutely amazed at the reasonable pricing offered for these wax melts. It makes it hard to resist trying more!
