First impression of By The Pool:
When I saw By The Pool scented melts at Walmart, I wrongly assumed it would smell like perfume. I wasn’t expecting a tropical scent but that’s kind of what it smelled like. A subtle perfume with sweet coconut and something else I couldn’t quite pinpoint.
I found a scent description for By The Pool… yay!
Notes of fresh marine florals drift over ozonic greenery infused with sweet tropical fruit nectars and the creamy essence of coconut sunscreen.
Cold sniff, I could smell the marine floral, tropical fruits and creamy coconut the most – minus the sunscreen. It was really pretty and fresh at the same time. I instantly liked it.
Let’s get to melting!
Melting By The Pool:
I used the entire clamshell pack (3 cubes each) in two electric melters in my great room. Once melting, it didn’t take long before the fragrance was everywhere and it was a very interesting scent. The marine florals definitely stood out the most with coconut and tropical fruits coming in second. I could even smell a teeny hint of greenery as well. The description was pretty accurate. All elements blended together smelled like a soothing sort of aquatic coconut scent. It had a very “nautical” feel to it so the scent name for this one was perfect.
Strength – I would rate By The Pool an 10 out of 10 in any size room. In my great room, I could smell the aroma at all times but it wasn’t super overpowering and I appreciated that.
By The Pool is a limited addition scent so if you wanted to give it a try, don’t wait too long. It will likely be gone by summers end, if not sooner.
