First impression of Coastal Watermelon:
Watermelon is an essential summer scent in my household. In fact, I’d burn or melt it nonstop if I could, so… when I saw Coastal Watermelon on Bath & Body Works website, it was MINE!!!
Here is the scent description for Coastal Watermelon:
Juicy watermelon, pink of pink sea salt, ocean waves with essential oils.
Juicy watermelon – check! Loved! Pink sea salt – yep! I could smell a teeny hint of salt on cold sniff. Ocean waves with essential oils? I had no idea what that could be but I must say… this scent smelled positively sweet and refreshing!! I loved it already just as it was.
Time to get burning!
I lit Coastal Watermelon in my master bedroom and boy was a large room a perfect setting for this candle. The strength – strong!! Within minutes of lighting the wicks, the fragrance was all around the candle. Within the hour, the aroma of fresh watermelon was everywhere and I mean everywhere! Close up to the candle, the salty notes are noticeable. Away from the candle and just sniffing the air, all I could smell was a fresh watermelon and I loved every second of it. This wasn’t your average candied watermelon. Coastal Watermelon smelled like it was drenched in water. Almost like a refreshing watermelon slushie is the best way to describe what I smelled. And yes, like a broken record… I loved every second of it.
Strength – I would rate Coastal Watermelon a 10 out of 10 in any size room. Loved the strength!
How Did My Coastal Watermelon Candle Burn?
Perfect! Zero wick issues. Clean burning from beginning to end.
Closing To My Review:
Coastal Watermelon is a scent I would pick up again and in multiple quantities. I absolutely LOVED this fragrance and am for sure going back for more. I’ll have to find one directly in one of their stores though because they’re website is already listing Fall fragrances. Yes, pumpkins in July. I wish they wouldn’t do that but… they do.
If you’re near a Bath & Body Works store, find this candle and sniff the wax, and see what you think. I hope this one comes back with White Barn next summer. Crossing fingers.
