First Impressions of PomLime Whirl Candle
I was so excited to place a new order with Gold Canyon. It’s been forever since I’ve burned and reviewed this brand so it was definitely long overdue. I chose 5 fragrances in a wide range of scents and when I received my box… a rainbow of colored candles greeted me when I opened the box. I was SO excited!
Up first… PomLime Whirl. This fragrance sounded perfect for spring and it has lime in it, one of my favorite citrus scents to burn.
PomLime Whirl is simply described as:
Sunny. Whimsical. Playful. Notes of Kaffir Lime, Red Pomegranate & Iced Raspberry.
The wax for this fragrance was a gorgeous and bright lime green which matched the whole theme of this scent perfectly. First impression… I smelled a sweet raspberry and lime. It kind of reminded me of a sweet and sugary punch or candy. I liked it.
Time to see how this candle performs.
How Did My Pomline Whirl Candle Perform?
This brand has always been pretty strong for me so I decided to start this candle in my master bedroom where I ended up leaving it till the very end. Once the wicks were lit, it took 20 minutes or so to reach a full melt pool and from then on out… a sweet berry and lime scent filled my bedroom with fragrance. I found myself going back to the candle several times to really try and figure out what this scent smelled like the most and my final thoughts… berries. This fragrance was pretty much pomegranate and raspberry with hints of lime that reminded me of a sweet berry punch. Just like the description boasts… very whimsical and fun.
Strength
On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this candle a 7 in a large room. 9/10 in medium to smaller rooms. 7 is still pretty decent in a large room but I think next time I try this scent, I’ll burn it in a medium size room to maximize the scent throw.
How Did My Candle Burn?
This candle burned a little bit sketchy here and there. The first half of the candle burned perfect. Halfway down, the wicks fizzled out causing an uneven melt pool and tunneling. It took hours to fix but I did eventually and from then on out the candle burned much better.
Closing To My Pomline Whirl Candle Review
PomLime Whirl was a fun spring berry scent I found pretty enjoyable. What a pretty candle this was too. The glass vessel was in a ribbed diamond pattern causing the green wax within to glow beautifully. Very nicely done.
f you love sweet berry scents, you would probably like this scent. It reminded me of a sweet fruit punch. Check it out next time you’re at a Gold Canyon party. You may walk away with one. Which brings me to something else…. Gold Canyon is a demonstrator based company meaning – you can only purchase these candles through a demonstrator which is easy enough to do. Go to Gold Canyon’s website and order like you normally would but at checkout, you’ll be required to find a demonstrator close to you and they will get credit for that sale.
