As a follow up to our Shining The Light candle review for the company Guy Fox, we’re focusing on the specific PCH Candle today from this wonderful company. This indie luxury fragrance house creates a handful of gorgeous candles that are geared towards a male audience, though the candles can be enjoyed by all. PCH stands for Pacific Coast Highway…understandable as the founders are in the great state of California.

Packaging/Presentation
The candle jars from Guy Fox come in your choice of white or black glass. My PCH Candle was in a white jar, hefty in the hand and very sleek-looking. There was a tall, rectangular label on the front of the jar that housed the company name, scent name, and the scent notes – love that! The label didn’t take over too much of the jar, so the beauty of the glow from the lit candle could easily be enjoyed without obstruction.
Authenticity
The cold sniff of this candle was a bit fruity and fresh at the same time. It was not too sweet, as some fruity scents can be. The scent description reads:

What an amazing combination! Once the candle was lit, the real beauty of this candle came through. The scents melded together well, so that one scent didn’t really predominate. It turned out to be more earthy and sexy than fruity, but there were just the hints of sweetness in the mix. Ah-mazing!
Scent Strength & Scent Throw
The PCH Candle did a great job of scenting up a medium sized bedroom. I could tell that the candle was burning and enjoy it’s fragrance without it smacking me in the face or running me out of the room. I was greeted with fragrance every time I walked in the room!
Burn Performance
This candle gave off a slow, even burn. It took a very long time to get a full wax melt pool, but it did eventually get there. I kept my wick pretty short and allowed it to pool on out each time. The burn was clean – no black sooting noticed at all. The wax melt pool was relatively thin, but even.
Conclusion
I’m in love with the Guy Fox brand, and I am head over heels with this PCH candle. It is a unique candle fragrance and the slow, clean burn makes it all that more enjoyable. I’d consider this more of an earthy candle with a bit of a citrus/fruity mix. If you’re looking for something unique to try, PCH just might fit the bill!
