Introduction to My Third Pacifica Review…

Pacifica candles are definitely a favorite of mine. I LOVE these candles, every single one that I’ve tried. Interestingly, the scent throw on the majority of their candles are lightly pacifica candles, pacifica, pacifica candle, candles pacifica, candle pacifica, pacificacandle, pacifica scented candles,pacificacandles.com,pacificacandle.com,pacifica candlescented so I do tend to burn these candles in smaller rooms. I say that because I tend to favor stronger scented candles, which surprises me that I like these candles so much. I don’t know what it is but to me, Pacifica candles are extremely relaxing and soothing candles for me.

All their fragrances are smooth as silk and a wonderful indulgence. I used to say a “once in awhile” indulgence but now I would say I have a Pacifica candle burning at least once a week if not more. My favorite location to burn these candles are in my master bathroom… they’re subtle and give such a soft scent throw. Smaller rooms seem to work better for me.

My latest Pacifica fragrances are Kashmir from their Woods and Resins category and Bali Lime Papaya from their Fruits category. Kashmir was my first candle I’ve tried from the Woods and Resins category and boy did I like it. I’m also adding my thoughts on Pacifica’s body butter because I recently tried some for the first time. If you like body butters and love to indulge your skin as well as your sense of smell, you have got to try a Pacifica body butter. You will not be sorry.

Kashmir is a beautiful color… it’s a deep midnight blue which looks so pretty when the candle is lit. The label on the face of the candle matches the theme of the fragrance. It’s blue with a white owl on it. The size of my candle is 7.5 ounces but looking at Pacifica’s website, this size is no longer available. Instead they have a 3oz small glass tumbler or an 8oz tin. The wax of Bali Lime Papaya is light green in color. My candle is 10.5 oz in a glass tumbler style jar. It came in a lovely matching gift box that fit my candle snugly.

How did my Pacifica candles smell?

Kashmir:

Wow, lovely and unique. The scent description on Pacifica’s website for Kashmir is:

“In this interesting contrast between fruity and balsamic aromas, lemon verbena top notes bring out the very best in patchouli. pacifica candles, pacifica, pacifica candle, candles pacifica, candle pacifica, pacificacandle, pacifica scented candles,pacificacandles.com,pacificacandle.com,pacifica candle A perfectly balanced blend of the two essences, warm yet lemony sweet.”

I burned this candle from beginning to end and loved every moment of it but I don’t remember smelling any patchouli at all. It smelled fruity to me and I think that’s why I liked it so much. I could detect lemon verbena but am not sure what balsamic aromas would be (I’m at a loss there, sorry). To me, Kashmir was a very smooth and flowing fragrance that you want to last and last.

Sometimes when I have a hard time breaking down a fragrance, I let it go and just enjoy the candle. This was another Pacifica scent where I found myself taking a moment to breathe in the wonderful fragrance every time I walked into the room. I love that feeling and it seems to be pretty consistent with this company. This is a great scent and I do recommend you give it a try if you like unique fruity scents.

Bali Lime Papaya:

Bali Lime Papaya was lovely but I would have to say one of the softer/lighter scented candles from Pacifica I’ve tried so far. This is not a candle to fragrance a large room, it’s definitely more suited for smaller rooms.  Here is the scent description from Pacifica’s website:pacifica candles, pacifica, pacifica candle, candles pacifica, candle pacifica, pacificacandle, pacifica scented candles,pacificacandles.com,pacificacandle.com,pacifica candle

“The scent of sumptuous and slightly musky papaya is brought together with bright green Indonesian kaffir lime and the sweet notes of lime blossoms in this fragrant and lush tropical blend.”

I must confess that I’ve given up trying to break apart Pacifica fragrances as I fail miserably every time.  Rarely have I burned one of their candles, read the scent description as with the one and recognized elements in the descriptions. They are always too complex which is partly why I’m drawn to them. With this scent, it smelled fruity & sweet with maybe a touch of floral notes.

I think for any Pacifica lover, you would like this fragrance.  It’s on the lighter than typical side (in my opinion) but it’s still a clear winner as usual.

Thai Lemongrass Body Butter:

I normally wouldn’t review body butter but couldn’t resist with this one.  Aside from candles, another indulgence of mine are lotions, every and any kind that smell good.  I love Bath & Body Works lotions, I also love The Body Shops body butters which have been my favorite so far.  When Pacifica came out with their body butter line, I knew sooner or later I would have to try one.

The fragrance I tried was Thai Lemongrass.  I have the candle and LOVE it, it’s by far one of my all time favorite Pacifica scents.  After I got it, it actually sat in my closet for awhile till I remembered I had it.  I finally opened the jar and slathered it all over me one morning. (I’m a cream carnivore, I live in Arizona) and totally forgot I did it.  The cream is nice and not greasy at all so it soaks into your skin and doesn’t leave a film (I like that). That’s always one thing I pay attention to with body butters because some can be so thick and greasy.

Anyway, I don’t even remember how long went by but I remember at several points in the morning smelling a wonderful fragrance and just brushed it off that it was one of my candles.  After about the 10th time of smelling this scent, I realized it was a Pacifica fragrance and kept wondering where the candle was.  I finally figured out it was ME!! Man!! If you’re like me and love Pacifica, you can now wear a select number of fragrances on your skin, very-very cool!  I promise, you’ll be smelling yourself all day, I did!!

I just checked their site and body butter is available in 7 fragrances and priced at $15.95.  Seems expensive but if you like The Body Shops body butter like I do, they’re actually more expensive than Pacifica’s so to me, it’s not a bad price.  The scent doesn’t last all day, maybe a few hours which I think is about normal.  It’s gooooood folks!  Try one next time you’re shopping on their site, they’re well worth the price.

How Did My Pacifica Candles Burn?

Kashmir burned pretty good.  Bali Lime Papaya was a bit of a struggle getting it to burn clean in the beginning but once it cleared the widest part of the glass, it burned perfect.  Both candles did burn with no soot or smoke.

Overall Opinion of Pacifica Candles:

Closing this review is pretty easy.  I love Pacifica, love-love-love them!  They’re on the pricey side but definitely worth it on occasion. Compared to other luxury brands, Pacifica is quite affordable,

Will add again, Pacifica fragrances give soft scent throws so if you’re after a strongly scented candle, these are not for you. If you’re after atmosphere and luxurious pampering, Pacifica is the place to shop.  I like to compare their fragrances to fine wines and beautiful relaxing music.

Happy candle burning!
