Carolyn’s thoughts on Yankee’s Pumpkin Pie scent…
I was excited to burn this pumpkin pie colored and scented votive. I’ve really been getting into the spirit of fall lately. I put our heater on the other day for the first time since last winter and have been feeling cozy in my favorite sweat pants I haven’t had on in several months. I just love this time of year and figured this scented candle would fit right in with my new fall spirit. What better scent goes with fall like the smell of Pumpkin Pie?
Burning my votive:
When I burned this votive, it smelled exactly like warm, delicious Pumpkin Pie was baking in my oven. The scent is a bit spicy, but definitely not overkill. I just smelled the normal spices that are used in Pumpkin Pie, like nutmeg, clove and a bit of cinnamon. Yummy! This candle really got me in the mood to eat some pumpkin pie. Maybe I’ll have to make some before thanksgiving dinner rolls around. :o)
The only thing that I want to make clear about this votive is that the scent throw in the room was light. It’s not so light where you can barely smell it, but in order to get the full body of the scent, I had to put my nose right over the burning candle and breathe in .
If you like lightly scented candles, just buying one of these votives would be perfect for you. However, if you like highly scented candles, I suggest you buy a few votives in this scent and just burn them all at the same time. I’m sure this would make for a much stronger pumpkin pie fragrance in your room. Also, I believe if you buy a jar candle or pillar, the scent would probably be stronger than just a votive.
No matter what kind of scent strength you prefer, I highly recommend Yankee’s Pumpkin Pie scented candles. Light some on Halloween night or when you’re in that cozy autumn mood. It will help you get into the spirit of fall.
