First impression of Jack Frost:

What a cute candle this was with its snow white wax, adorable snowman label and fresh peppermint aroma. What’s not to love? Peppermint scents happened to be a favorite of mine during the holidays so this was an easy choice to review. Plus, it was on mega sale… sold!!

Winter cheer … a playful, invigorating mix of icy cool peppermint and sweet vanilla snow cream.
Fragrance Notes:
Top: Peppermint
Mid: Mint
Base: Vanilla, Sweet Cream

Mmm!! That sounds perfect! Smelling the wax, my nose picked up on everything in the description. Mint, peppermint and sweet vanilla cream. Yum!! Hoping this candle gives a decent scent throw… in a small room of course. We shall see!!

I lit this candle in my powder room to start out and that’s where it stayed till the very last drop of wax. Once the wick was lit, it took the average 5 hours to reach a full melt pool. Yes, five hours. Yankee candles burn very slow and that’s a good thing, it means you definitely get your money’s worth.

The aroma – a true peppermint candy that I thought was more peppermint than vanilla. At least that’s what my nose picked up on the most. Was Jack Frost nipping at my nose? Lol! Yep! The air in my powder room was cool, crisp and sweet as can be… a perfect rendition of sweet peppermint candies.

Strength – I would rate this candle a 7 in a really small room which isn’t bad for a Yankee candle. Not sure I would attempt burning this is anything larger but you can always try and see how it goes. That’s the biggest negative to Yankee candles… they’re not very strong.

How did my candle burn?

This candle burned great. Very slow but consistent and clean burning from start to finish. Wick maintenance was pretty minimal too. I trimmed the wick once a day before each lighting which isn’t too bad.

Closing to my review:

Jack Frost from Yankee was a nice peppermint candy aroma that I really enjoyed so if you’re a fan of peppermint scents like I am, definitely check out this candle next time you’re near a Yankee store. Or, you can purchase one online like I did. Either way, I think you’ll enjoy it.
