It’s National Margarita Day…who knew? Well, we did, and we’ve been prepping for this article for a few weeks now. We had to test out several candles while sipping on a few margs (hey…it’s research) in order to come up with the best margarita scented candles we could find. We wanted to share the results of our research with you, to help you celebrate this awesome, fun day!

Island Margarita
This is probably our favorite candle that smells like a margarita. It is very sweet and has just a little bit of saltiness. It’s not as harsh as many margarita-scents can be. We would like it to be a tad bit stronger, but it still is one of the best.
Circle E Candles
Lime Margarita
If you want a bit more bite to your margarita scented candle, look no further than Lime Margarita from Circle E Candles. The 22oz jar candle puts out a lot of scent, and it’s sooo good you want to drink it up! This one is heavier on the lime than some of the others on the list.
Good Spirits Candle Co.
Cadillac Margarita
Oooh, this one is good! It is the closest scented wax we can find that reminds us of a top shelf margarita complete with the salt rim. The scent is sweet, zesty, and with just the right hint of saltiness.
Yankee Candle
Margarita Time
Yankee Candle doesn’t make Margarita Time anymore, and we think that’s a shame. It’s a super sweet, zesty lime scent that immediately makes us want to set up shop on the beach. There are no salty notes here – just fresh, zippy, and sweet. It’s also a little milder scent-wise, so it’s better for those sensitive to loud scents.
Sonoma Goods for Life
Mango Margarita
Shop your local Kohl’s to find this gem…Mango Margarita from Sonoma Goods For Life is one ah-mazing margarita scented candle! It has the zesty lime scent tempered with sweet mango and blood orange that balances it out well. Topped off with a rim of granulated sugar? Bottoms up! (Please note: There was a recall of several Sonoma 3-wick candles from Kohl’s. Though this particular fragrance and style was not on the list, buy with caution and always keep burning candles within your line of vision!)
